This tutorial is truly insightful, the UI is surprisingly smooth. After 15 minutes testing the app I already feel comfortable with the tools. One of the best surprise of 2023 to me. Congrats to the devs involved into the production of F3DS
Are you a member of this cult? The guide does not reveal even the most basic operations. Notes, guides, bend, fold, the way these words are used makes me wonder if the Chinese to English translator the maker of this absurdly idiotic software ever learned to program apps at all.

About your question about drawing and drawing the 3D guide: to switch between drawing and drawing a guide, you don't need to change anything. By the 'drawing' icon, if there is no guide, you can draw a guide, and after drawing one guide, you can draw on top of it.

Hmm the thing I’m struggling with is the pathway creation. I’ll draw a line and the 3D path is at a completely random angle (seemingly). Is there a video on how to control the pathways?
Hello! First of all, thank you for your interest in using Feather. The 3D guide(pathway/3D path) is an extruded surface from the line you draw into the 3D space. It might help you understand more if you first try to go to a perpendicular view (double tap with one finger) and draw the 3D guide. It's more complicated than I thought 😭
quite interesting software, I see many possible applications for an intuitive 3D sketching. The only drawback I see now is the quality of the line as drawn by the app. Right now it looks too sketchy, would it be nice to be able to adjust the look liken in many sketching apps like Procreate, Sketches Pro, Concepts etc. Why should it look to ugly ? Give the app a more technical approach, it shouldn't be just an artistic tool.
While this is extremely hard to use and ill stick with nomad for that, the app is impressive looking!

I'm sorry, but Feather doesn't have animation features yet, but developing animation functions is one of our plans.
At the moment, Feather is for drawing in 3D, and in the video, it is actually moving by viewing around by fingers, transforming the drawings, or using the group function.
For 3D animation, you can export the files drawn in Feather into obj or GLTF files and use them in other tools.
Don't have any apps that come into my mind on iPad for animating.🙏🏻

Hello guys , i very love you app, i'm using the desktop app . i see a big potential and it looks genial to avoid learning grease pencil in blender. But do you planned to improve the desktop app by adding shortcuts ? Somes features are tricky to execute on computer.

I was trying to follow along, but the interface looks different and it feels like steps are missing. Has the interface changed since the tutorial was made? For example when she draws the wing guide, how did the tool switch from drawing to drawing a guide?

why is it that theres only tutorials for a tablet and not a pc which can be run in the web browser and use a wacom tablet? It needs work on the chrome browser.

I was following along just fine until the coloring part. I can create the guide, but can’t figure out how to color at all and the video doesn’t really show what to do there.

Anyone explain how can i draw the 3d model the way i choose to put my ink on to?
I baffles me where the pen place like magic and wont ink anywhere where the ink goes.
Is the ""GUIDE"" and knowledge of 3D space is the answer to a good 3D artist??

The base line of the bending is the line that is made from the first point when you drew the 3D guide. So, to bend this guide, you need to change the view. I hope my reply helped. Just tried the app and found some glitches when i Add Image its imposible to delete even though there’s option to delete and after adding image can’t 3d model it only works as reference there’s only two brushes after all app is smooth and hope these glitches gets fixed soon and gets some new features ❤

First, you can delete the imported images by pressing the image you want to delete in the 'resource panel.' The delete icon will appear when the image gets selected.
Second, after you import a resource, such as an image, the image works like the guide. So, if you want to draw a new guide, please inactivate the image in the resource panel.

Learn English and explain why it’s so hard to do basic things, why you use words that do not mean what they are supposed to, why important instructions like how to delete objects, not notes, how to delete “guides”, etc. It is maddening, and you have a member of the Feather Cult to say it is great, like all those idiots who Trump is great. Find another line of work, because you are no software developer.

This is way too complicated for a first project. One usually starts with cubes, balls and triangles in 3D and from there advances to simple models like chairs and tables.
