Wow, this is really cool! I’ve never seen a true “3D sketching” program. This might be a really great way for people used to 2D drawing to get into 3D.
This is an incredible idea that is well executed. The quick update resolved some issues I had with the joystick and Apple Pro pencil getting confused about hovering and dragging. Great work.

I am on Windows with a drawing pad, would love it if there were buttons to switch from ortho to prespective, and also to snap to the 6 sides, kinda like blender, because the 3 or 2 finger guestures trigger windows shortcuts, making it very clunky. Keep up the good work!

That is an issue called Z-fighting, which occurs when brushes of the same thickness interfere with each other. Try slightly adjusting the brush size when painting with different colors. Changing the thickness of the brushes will eliminate the issue.

I had the same problem, but if you click the 3 lines at the top, then click the icon furthest to the right, you should see a button that says “finger pen” Click that then you will be able to draw with a stylus or your finger! Hope this helps
I seem to be the only one with this problem where it won't draw the guide line. There isn't any extra steps? I've tried everything, I've watched every tutorial, why won't it draw the guide line?
When you import an OBJ and leave it in Draw On mode, you cannot create new guides. To create new guides, change the state of the imported OBJ in the Resources tab. Please refer to Basic Tutorial Part 3 or the relevant section in our documentation for more details.
Hey, is there a bug currently about the transform tool? When i translate or rotate is fine, but if I scale it and get out of the selection tool, the scaling resets :(

Second, there might be bugs specific to certain devices that we’re not aware of. Could you let us know which device you are currently using?

can someone help me? after i make the 3d guide and try drawing on it, it makes me draw above the place i intended it to be. like when i slide my finger in the middle to draw a line, the line appears above the place i drew it on
Hi, If you're using an iPad, Please go to the settings and enable "Reset on next launch" and "Clear Cache on Next Launch". After that, reopen Feather. If you are using Android or PC, Simply reinstalling the app should solve the issue.
When you create a new canvas, in the upper left corner, click the button with three lines. There will be a last tab with system settings where you need to press the "finger-pen" mode. A button with this mode will appear below, when you need to draw something, click on it
Try adjusting the brush size slightly when using different colors. When brushes of different colors have exactly the same thickness, overlapping artifacts may appear.
@@veenavee7493 You can create curved surfaces using the Bend 3D Guide feature. This feature is a bit complicated to use, so it is not included in the basic tutorial. We will create some new tutorials separately.

at 2:40 the user starts drawing on the screen - all mine does is shift the view around? How do you make a line???

i could only import primitives and paint over them. i CAN NOT draw guides at all. the bending icon is missing. not compatible with iOS 17.6 ??

Try the Orthographic View and Perfect View. They help you draw accurate guides.

Couldn't do the last coloring part, if two colors touch it makes a bunch of flashing artifacts.
