Great video. I am also in Canada and had the same issue with probably the same dealer in Ontario. I thought they were the only one in Canada. Good info on the "not so obvious" parts. Thanks to your video I found a dealer practically in my back yard through Nordfab themselves. Really appreciate the time you took to do this video. Cheers.
I am so glad I found this extremely helpful video. I am just beginning to build out my small shop from scratch. I've decided on installing Nordfab ducting. I am also installing a Harvey GS700. Your initial configuration coming out of the GS700 to the wall and ceiling is identical to what I require. So, thanks for the parts list. I'm also glad I learned about the needed fitting expansion for the GS700 connection. I can't imagine I could have any success in my shop building effort without access to great content from makers like yourself. Thank you!
For those thinking of going with quick-connect ducting, The Blast Gate Company sells Nordfab-compatible ductwork at much cheaper prices. My setup is a mix of mostly pieces from Blastgate along with a few true Nordfab pieces.
Bill pentz has a lot of info on his site. I believe he says we need 800 cfm's at a machine's port to catch the fine dust? And it's not possible without using 6''. I'll have to go back and re read it? Thanks for posting. My research says I need about $5,000 worth of pipe and fittings for my small shop.
