I find your method of delivery to be highly effective, as it infuses humor into the information being conveyed, and I am deeply appreciative of this approach.
I watched 3 videos of this channel in a row and learned a few things that are really game changer and allow an infinity of possibilities in video editing, I'm amazed, thanks a lot!
Jordy, I know that you are into the new type of editing and making "tik-tok style" videos, but when I am watching them, I feel like I don't have the time to breathe and maybe it would be better if you just created a little space between your speeches. When everything is so intensive, it is very hard to not be overwhelmed.
Maybe use the 0.75x in the video I use it when I am learning about totally new things... it makes it easier for me to understand... but when I know what I am doing and just need a small tip here or there, I might actually use 1.5x 😆
I don't have the latest version of premiere pro but the text editing has totally surprised me, it'll be a big time savor to edit the talking head and voice overs.
Jordy youve been a very very big help. Since my college days until I finish my College even tho my program doesnt do anything with editing, but here I am, in right now Dubai working as Video editor. Until now I am still looking back to your channel to keep on learning. You are truly amazing
Nice tips, I'll use some of them but Ha. I have a way to be even faster with cutting 😎 given that you have a bit better mouse (Mx master) I've mapped the "cut all tracks" to one of my side keys (the up and down under the thumb), and "ripple delete" to the other one. As I usually have to cut through many tracks at the same time in my videos. All the best. Cheers 🤘😎
I can't thank you guys enough for all the learning I get from you guys. So so helpful. Several videos ago you advertised a laptop for editing. What video/laptop was that again? I'm in the market.
When he started about moving assets I got an idea for a handy feature: Imagine having the option to let Premiere Pro automatically take all the files you use for your projct and copy them in a new "Project_Folder" (or even move them). I sometimes drag and drop things from my Chrome downloads directly into Premiere Pro without proper file management and later it's a hassle to find them
I’ve been using rush for 170 videos. Just got premier pro and I’m adapting. You have a tip about how if y press control + K it just makes a cut and I’m like wow. I wana have that on my keyboard short for c as well. So much faster. How do I change it?? I’m trying to make premier pro as quick to edit on as rush was. Right now every one thing takes three clicks and four key strokes.
Hello :) To change the shortcut for setting a cut: Go to edit on top, then keyboard shortcuts. Type in 'Add edit'. Remove the 'Ctrl + K' shortcut and then click on the empty space. Now type 'C' and click ok. There you go! :)
For huge files that are used in almost every video, I personally like to have a 'main assets' folder which is then linked to all my projects. But I also have another assets folder with small stuff like stock clips, sound effects that are only meant for that video.
Great tips and a few I haven't seen before. Thanks! But the biggest issue right now with Premiere is that the latest version is so damn broken... It's just horrible to use, and I know I'm not the only one with these issues
I second this - anything I do with after effects comps in premiere blue screens me lately - I've started resorting to Fusion for effects shots and then rendering those out for premiere 🤦♂
I don't know what to feel about your new story-telling hook. It works, but I don't like it's working for some reason. Nevertheless, I can say you are able to prevent me from clicking off your videos nowadays.
Premiere did actually had a transcript function like 8 years ago, then removed, then put it back again. Thanks Adobe. I guess Adobe just must cut off some features so when they add them some years later it looks like "innovation"
Awesome video, all useful tips that I'm going to start using. For the part of having all files in project folder, I always do that. The only issue is Story Blocks - I have to set it to my project folder for every project. Wish they had a setting in the plugin folder to download to project folder - unless I'm missing something
Sir i am a begginner of adobe premiere pro , please tell how to export the video with our custom thumbnail, i know how to put thumb nails in you tube but i need the custom thumbnail after exporting adobe premiere pro.
Why does premiere pro not have the same zooming capabilities such as after effects... Its just so easy to scroll with a mouse and move around by holding space! Please bring this to premiere pro!!
Nah I started using premiere pro for my anime vids coming from FCPX and that ripple delete moved all my markers and effects off the proper timing. Had to go thru and fix it all it was so annoying
@@PremiereBasics can you also make it so that the effects will adjust accordingly? Like I had some text on screen that the ripple delete thru out of order.
Love the tips but I do have to say the Bowser references were very distracting and unnecessary. It felt like you were trying to dumb things down for an audience of children, not an audience of video professionals.
Personally, I lose attention and also lose understanding the techniques your using because of the CONSTANT attempts at humor! I mean are you teaching PR or comedy? For example, @1:55 where your mention a better work flow for zooming an already nested clip.. I had to watch that part numerous times just to understand it because of all of the unnecessary humor! Or maybe this is a trick used to get people to rewind and watch over and over?
Your videos are very interesting but your explanations are very fast for a tutorial channel. No make sense! A lot of people can’t follow your explanations!
im a final cut editor but I watch practically every single video/short that you release. I find I get insight, ideas and am always entertained.
I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you!
Really appreciate you make this video 6 minutes instead of dragging for 16 minutes. Thank you!
This channel is a gem, wishing for adobe after effects channel to grow as well. Much appreciated ❤️
I love how funny these videos became, no matter if you want to learn something or just have fun, I love it!
I find your method of delivery to be highly effective, as it infuses humor into the information being conveyed, and I am deeply appreciative of this approach.
agree
This channel should have millions of subscribers!
The creativity and editing are just amazing!
Good work :D

It's still in beta, I hope they release it soon!
Come on dude, breathe ! 💥
There's more than tiktok, your old Tutorials were perfect, now it's just a giberish talk ! 💥
I don’t think I’ll be switching to Davinci ever, especially with all the tricks you share here. Premier just makes more sense for editing.
The ecosystem in Adobe is the best, and of course plugins, presets, and effects

Jordy, that Nested Sequence tip was something I really needed!
Glad it was helpful!
Time saver tips let's go. 🙂
Looking forward to the updates this year.
Glad you like them, Carl! :)

That fast rendering tip is really cool. My computer is starting to take way to long to render
Amazing story-telling mate.
Thanks man! :)
Best premiere tips video I’ve seen. So useful!
Thank you so much!

You can do this by just using ingest setting, search about it.
Will u guys make some tips for Davinci resolve?
OMG!!!! Tip #1 and I'm already 🤯
Glad you liked it, Greg!😀
The Mario theme 😂 👍🏼
Hahahha...love these videos...going to subscribe!

You are the best, another bundle of awesome shortcuts, thank you!

If you save your media assets in a project folder, do you duplicate the file if you need to use it again in a different project?
For huge files that are used in almost every video, I personally like to have a 'main assets' folder which is then linked to all my projects. But I also have another assets folder with small stuff like stock clips, sound effects that are only meant for that video.
@@PremiereBasics thanks
Hi Jordy can you make a video of your preference settings on premiere pro please?🙏🏾
Yes! I have been swapping clips the amateur way. I can't believe it's that easy.
It sure is! 😅
amazing video
Thanks!
Thanks sir
Welcome
THANK YOU!
What version are you guys using to demonstrate those videos?
Always the latest one!
thnx for this 😍

Also you can replace the razor tool short cut key with "X". Do you know how I know that? From Jordie's Skill share class
Damn, the marker one will help a lot I think...
I have changed ctrl+k to F10 and Ripple Delete to F11.
Premiere did actually had a transcript function like 8 years ago, then removed, then put it back again.

Hmm... Transcription does not appear in Premiere Pro for me, and I have the latest updates.
to this one now lol :P i love doing things in fast mode except one thing
Sir i am a begginner of adobe premiere pro , please tell how to export the video with our custom thumbnail, i know how to put thumb nails in you tube but i need the custom thumbnail after exporting adobe premiere pro.
Does anyone know what version of Premiere the "Preferences-Transcription" panel will be available in?
same here. It does not show in my "Preferences" --> "Transcription" tab. I guess we have to download the latest beta release to get that feature
@@embodiedauthenticity the man said it's in beta but i don't know what version will be "officially" available in
