If you listen to her speech, I don't think he thought she wasn't worthy at all. He even said from the first moment, he wanted to marry her. I think he's just never sure of anything. She said that she can't walk him through every argument or stuff like that. I know people who, know what they would want, but are too anxious or unsure. I personally wouldn't marry him either, but there are people who, don't necessarily need other people opinions, just aren't sure of themselves
It is called being part of a herd and it is natural. However, these we have much better opportunity to become part of a herd that matches our convictions, if we are only prepared to make up our minds.
@@57thorns wow I didn't think about it that way. Man's primal instinct is to follow the herd and decisions of others and fit in. because if you don't, you die. So in today's society, the same thing happens to these people who are just following their instincts. But now that it's not useful in our situation, it only screws us up. Interesting how that works.
This reminds me of all of the posts on Reddit asking for general advice on huge life decisions--the ones on /r/personalfinance, /r/relationships etc.. Too many people don't have a sense of self and only perceive themselves from other's perspectives
Also a huge difference between asking random people if you should go through with your wedding, and asking for financial advice from people who may be more knowledgeable in finance...
Yeah but let's also not forget that they're trained this way. Ever swam against the mainstream in highschool? I have. For all of my school time I was bullied excessively. I did things different purposefully and let me tell you, it gets you nowhere. The entire idea of our system is built around obedience and following the herd. Don't follow the herd and you get punished.
Many times on those subs they are actual deep questions, not everyone has the answers and its a good thing to learn from others. Especially in areas like finance.

You can tell this comes from being extremely sheltered as a child. The mom insisted on going with him to talk to his fiance 🤦♀️. I'm glad he at least took control of his own life there and didn't let her.
@Papaya Tasty who would bear to be with someone so indecisive they question their every move and need constant approval from the masses for the most personal of things??
Normally anyone would. I think that's not the point they were trying to make here. This was a large metaphor for how we give social media this power over our lives. Point couldn't have been illustrated better by the last vote coming from the priest when they had already decided, yet everyone checked the phone for the answer.
I've watched this multiple times, and I still think the same way i did the first time i've watched it. She should have left, she shouldn't have gone through with the wedding. Even if they got a 100% yes from the people who voted on the poll, 'cause the fact that the dude posted something like that on facebook means he really isn't sure. You shouldn't marry someone unles you are both 100% sure you want to. Btw, short film was great! Great acting, you can feel the emotions of the characters. Omeleto has great content 👍🏼
The one thing that stuck out to me is that it seems like he was more unsure of himself than he was about her. When asked to finally make a decision, no weaseling, no phoning a friend, he stepped up to be alongside her. When she finally sat him down and asked him, HIMSELF, what he wanted, he showed his colors. So I would hope that she knows him better than he knows himself and simply used this to humiliate him and make a point. That, the aftermath of this would have him taking her advice and actually standing up for himself, being a little more assertive in life. In a good way, of course, not a bad way. That is the only reason I would assume she still chose to say yes, because she knew that he was better than this, and just naive.
It was probably nerves that got him and he acted foolishly, but I’m the end he was sure that he wanted to, see I don’t think you understand that when and if you true do love someone, there’ll be doubts, yes, but you’ll always pull through unconditionally for the other person, so if she loved him and valued the time they spent together, she would’ve stayed obviously, which is what she did.
Given her sour look, you are probably right. But I could see a scenario where the groom says, "too late, the poll closed" and they get married anyway. Not likely but possible.
The fact that she's already familiar with this trait of indecisiveness in him and she *hates* it means this marriage won't last long. She's prolly one of those "I can fix him, he just needs some love and time" types.
She shouldn't have married him. *Honey, he **_would've, could've, should've_** changed himself, but guess what? he **_DIDN'T._* What if one day you get pregnant and he puts up a poll on whether to keep the baby or diss it? One day you're dying and he puts a poll on whether to save u or watch u die?
This man makes me mad, it’s like marrying a toddler and expecting him to act as an adult that I could rely on. I don’t get how the people present there voted for yes. I feel like they just didn’t want to deal with the awkwardness if it didn’t go through.

I hate the ending. Any woman who respects herself would leave him.
And then post about it on Twitter to cancel him
Edit: people really do not understand satire these days

Any woman who truly loves and understands someone wouldn't
@goodbyehoes clearly she didnt know him, she should have left his ass
I would consider the poll a slap in the face. Where is her veil? If she is irritated at the start of her wedding day, how could the marriage be sustainable?
👍
She is fantastic - why isn't this actress in a super-popular sitcom or movie already?
she is, she's the lead in the series Roswell, New Mexico!
You have any idea how many Actresses Audition for those few shows that come out of hollywood???
And Grey's anatomy.

You know the saddest part about this short clip is that it speaks truth about how so many people are caught up on this social media ideology for their lives. Thank you for sharing
Nailed it. I loved the way they brought it on slowly. When I realized it was a FB poll, I burst out laughing. Then FB or Reddit... lol. Acting was great too. Well done.
I would not marry this irritating and insecure man who needs other's opinions to live his life, when he had all the time we've been together to decide if I was worthy enough… so stressing

Same. I would never marry this spineless piece of garbage.
An absolute gem of a bride. The actors are so great in this one.
Amazing how true this actually is, only more subtle. Most people have to get society's approval for their own life's decisions.
This is a good lesson for those who post their large life decisions and moments on social media
"Dad. Relax. You're freaking me out."
Why is this so relatable
holy moly, I fell so much a Black Mirror vibe from this short mann, sooo good.

The way she handled the entire situation shows how great she is and is definitely worth marrying.
Whether she’s worth marrying was never in question. He’s in the wrong here.
@@rosepinkskyblue We don’t know why he had cold feet. Maybe she’s not that great of a person
Ironically in an attempt to prove her point she pushes the idea that David's life should be decided by the people around him
I’m addicted to these short films. The scary part is that this could actually happen in our day and age. If it hasn’t already.
I went to high school with guy who asked, “are we doing the Reddit poll or the Facebook poll?”! Lol good for him!!!!
This reminds me of all of the posts on Reddit asking for general advice on huge life decisions--the ones on /r/personalfinance, /r/relationships etc.. Too many people don't have a sense of self and only perceive themselves from other's perspectives
Luke Desobry theres a HUGE different between asking for advice when you are unsure yourself and making a poll with “yes” or “no”
Also a huge difference between asking random people if you should go through with your wedding, and asking for financial advice from people who may be more knowledgeable in finance...
And. amItheasshole, especially
Can we just point out how well executed that long continuous shot was?
Did she really marry him?? I honestly think a better ending would have been her leaving him at the altar and walk away.
Pretty sure not, that last vote got them seemingly shocked
the better ending would be him leaving her.
Of course she did. Who else is going to live with a beach like this? Only a wimp like that.
@@17MrLeon Mind explaining why you think so?
Her scream was on point! But actually, it scares me to think that this social media addict generation is really gonna make a poll for everything... this is sad
No hopefully this wont be the case
@Ayka Askerova ok boomer
I can tell you’re at the very least 37
So true
I'm 20 and i absolutely agree with you, ignore the hate.
I think she went through with it because she knows him well, knows their history and recognizes that it was a moment of indiscretion.
But she's gonna have to go through that her whole life..with a man who depends on other people's opinions to decide on whats best for them. I seriously cannot submit to such a man.
@i died if it was irl, yeah, women always gets the blame. In the movie it seems that he's the one who got it worse tho, everyone now thinks he's a huge loser
@@EstM13 from the video we can see she doesn't submit. She is definitely one to not talk down to
I think the marriage wont work out. Imo she's making a mistake

@@EstM13 Exactly....life is already a mess and to say the groom has not yet develop his decision-making process is a bit much to deal with.
I would hit that "HELL NOOOO!!!!" He can't decide for his life that he even asked the internet for the decision that he is so immature to make!
Imagine having to walk someone through life that isn't a child 🤦🏻♀️ I can't.

@@antred11 True. I'm impressed the girl had the commitment to marry such an unthoughtful guy. It just baffles me...
Actor
The bride is such a control freak, I'd probably not even propose.
it was physically painful to see her hurt
Holy chick balls, the lead female actress is INSANELY TALENTED!! I felt anxious just watching her visceral reaction to his ambivalence. Lead male actor nailed his character perfectly as well!
If a guy has doubts about his marriage, then he should not get married and doesn't deserve his bride.
And if he put a poll up about I'd reconsider marrying him as well
But he's not doubting.. He's the one saying he wants to get married..
Alisha Hope why do you think he posted the poll? Of course he was doubting
Truth,if a man isn't sure if he wants you, leave him alone.
What if the bride does the same?
You can tell this comes from being extremely sheltered as a child. The mom insisted on going with him to talk to his fiance 🤦♀️. I'm glad he at least took control of his own life there and didn't let her.
The bridesmaids hissing at him 🤣
I would have left. I get she loved him but I would have just left.
And I would have never given him the option after.
@Papaya Tasty who would bear to be with someone so indecisive they question their every move and need constant approval from the masses for the most personal of things??
Papaya Tasty and pray do tell what the heck for? What would he gain from that?? (Other than be miserable and cause misery to others i mean)
Normally anyone would. I think that's not the point they were trying to make here. This was a large metaphor for how we give social media this power over our lives. Point couldn't have been illustrated better by the last vote coming from the priest when they had already decided, yet everyone checked the phone for the answer.
I wanna know what the Reverand voted.
Hm, why I tend to think it was "no"?..
Well if she voted "no" she wouldn't have married them .

“The Facebook poll or the reddit poll”
Had me rolling
It's a yes by 0.01%
It was probably nerves that got him and he acted foolishly, but I’m the end he was sure that he wanted to, see I don’t think you understand that when and if you true do love someone, there’ll be doubts, yes, but you’ll always pull through unconditionally for the other person, so if she loved him and valued the time they spent together, she would’ve stayed obviously, which is what she did.
100%? You just finished the wedding industry. Lol
A lot of women feel unsure until they say "Yes". So what, OP, should we just dump then because of it?
I think the rev chose “No” because she knows they would never work.
@epileptic zepra
Lmfaooo
Given her sour look, you are probably right. But I could see a scenario where the groom says, "too late, the poll closed" and they get married anyway. Not likely but possible.
The fact that she's already familiar with this trait of indecisiveness in him and she *hates* it means this marriage won't last long. She's prolly one of those "I can fix him, he just needs some love and time" types.
She shouldn't have married him. *Honey, he **_would've, could've, should've_** changed himself, but guess what? he **_DIDN'T._*
What if one day you get pregnant and he puts up a poll on whether to keep the baby or diss it? One day you're dying and he puts a poll on whether to save u or watch u die?

I don’t get how the people present there voted for yes. I feel like they just didn’t want to deal with the awkwardness if it didn’t go through.
Wedding gifts and cards probably had something to do with it.
