    The animals on the farm in El Salvador are so cute and lively!
    I’m so happy that you left Guatemala safely. I believe this experience will be something you will never forget!
    Guatemala also leaves the most thrilling mark on your trip in the Americas!
    Thank you so much for sharing, super great job! 👍🥰🙏

    In Fall 2021 I took a bus from Cancun gradually down to Belize and then in to Guatemala and El Salvador. At the El Salvador border crossing the guy in front of me literally turned around and spoke to me in English, made a joke about the slow bureaucratic staff processing us and guided me through a faster line. He literally said "Welcome to El Salvador" with a big smile and that immediately set the tone for my whole visit there. I loved it! Same thing happened in Guatemala. Central America is an underrated gem although over the past few years I see more and more people catching on that it's an awesome place to visit.

      Yes, that is exactly what we experienced in El Salvador, people everywhere are super friendly! And we're seeing the same in Nicaragua now :) sounds from your comments like you have lots of cool travel stories. Where are you from? :)

      @@NaickKim I am Canadian and have just finished almost 7 years straight of travel although the first two years I was working in China. 106 countries, heading back to Canada next week ( in Bangkok now) where I am going to try to write a book about it. I love your channel, you deserve many more subscribers!! I have posted all my travels on my Facebook.

      All travel after I left China. I finally have to go back to work in January but I will work on my book at the same time - probably in SE Asia where it's easy to get a teaching job and its cheap to live. I also have over 25,000 photos and 8500 videos to sort through, haha - should have had a UA-cam channel!! I love your content and know how much work it is to put that together consistently. Respect and admiration. Fav country?! Haha, impossible to answer as each country brings with it the unique circumstances of your experiences in it but in general I love Mexico and Central America, SE Asia, southern and eastern Europe, Turkey, north Africa, Namibia, Australia in particular but I absolutely have come to love this complex and beautiful planet we all call home. The people are generally awesome everywhere. How about you guys?@@NaickKim

    Hey you two...our safety radar at the start of this episode was going off, but you were correct in doing what you did, it was a good call to leave. We both shed a small tear when you got to El Salvador because you treat people with such respect, which they reciprocate, its so refreshing to watch you both making your dream come true, you've got this!

    I was caught up in riots in Peru 3 times and once in Colombia. Colombia a bunch of soldiers, dressed like storm troopers only black, were shooting tear gas everywhere. Also I've noticed, around the world, that the countries that have had the worst recent histories tend to be the happiest and most welcoming

    People who make up a country are generally good people who are kind, caring, and even generous. The problem is that those who run the countries and the bad characters ruin it for them. They could be doing so much better economically if they could just get rid of the bad. Can you just imagine all the people who would love to visit these places as tourists? I'm glad you're showing the good side.

    • @NaickKim
      @NaickKim  11 місяців тому

      This was about 2 weeks ago. We're not sure what the situation is like now. I would definitely look into it before flying out. We heard from several people who have rescheduled their trips because of this. Hope you won't need to, but just look into it :)
      Edit: I had a quick Google and found this article in Spanish www.prensalibre.com/guatemala/comunitario/provial-informa-que-no-hay-bloqueos-en-guatemala-luego-de-27-dias-de-concentraciones-en-carreteras/ which seems to indicate there are no more road blocks at the moment and this was the site we used for an overview of all the roadblocks when we were there www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1iPwRRRuHpeiJymhcGmeHVOll0brStB0&ll=14.241091786494577%2C-90.434754740003&z=10&fbclid=IwAR2R-pVSyRCN6O1-Ln5jimDn3APHbL_QkvXCieBgUE5nonnNH1F1SnhjQfg which also doesn't show much anymore, but I guess that doesn't mean that there is nothing happening anymore. We found a lot of info from locals and other travellers on reddit, r/guatemala. Maybe check that out too :)

    is it poverty: starving? nowhere to sleep at night? or poverty: they get to eat really nutritious food all day long, like the pupusas and tomato sauce and have delicious black local coffee but can not afford Starbucks pumpkin spice latte or AC? In Hawaii, I prefer camping and we take our showers with non-heated water and it feels much better than the heated water showers at the resort. When you are in Chicago in winter, a heated water shower is no longer a luxury. see what i mean? The El Salvadoran looked happy in your videos. not starving or wondering where to sleep,
