Rugged and durable, the Adidas walking shoe is dependable and yet sporty. The Goretex version is slightly more expensive, but is more water resistant, so worth the cost.

I mow lawns for a business and bought these for work. The shoes are as waterproof as any other waterproof shoe/boot I own, the traction is good, the fit is good . The stiffness of the sole was one of the reasons I went with this shoe and I have no problem with how stiff they are. I put these on and work all day so far without any issues.
Thanks for the input. If they work for you in your line of work I'm 100% sure they will serve me well on day hikes. Sold 🙌
I bought this shoe for the rainy season.
Pros: great traction on soil and gravel, durable materials, keeps my feet dry even when submerged in 2-3 inches of water depths.
Cons: It felt like a workboot, also not as light as other adidas shoes, the midsole and insole are not as cushiony as well but it's alright.
It's a good walking shoe on a rainy weather.
Yep it balances being durable with sporty look! But it certainly not a running trainer!

I have the non goretex and am planning some hiking in light snow, mostly packed down trails. I know these are the goretex version but do you think they will hold up being just water resistant instead of goretex?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the ax4 gtx and the non gtx shoes
If you see gtx on shoes it stands for gortex. So the ones without gtx don't have gortex and they may not be waterproof

Owned the mid for a few months
First time today I've got soaked with them on abs my foot was wet. Not soaked but my socks had marks off the water and my feet were cold.
Way to go Adidas.

These are not waterproof and the sole wears down ridiculously fast
Nothing lasts, I walk a lot too. These are average.

Are these suitable for a slightly wider foot?
I would say yes, but be mindful of ordering a half size up on your normal size.
@@captainhelpuk hey Captain. I’m usually a 9.5 UK but I ordered a 10UK and also tried the 10.5 but I felt the shape of the shoe was not right for me. I have a slightly wider right foot with a bit of a pressure point in one spot. I returned the adidas for the KEEN NXIS EVO. It’s a bit of a wider shape. They don’t look as flash as the Adidas but they were half the price and feel far more comfortable.

I purchased a size up.
Mine were half a size up! But if your going to wear extra thick socks maybe a size up would still work!
They are a tight fit so I'd go a size up. Goretex liners are often the cause of the tightness.
Is it good warm shoe for winter also?
Not bad, not as good at a boot, also depending on your socks too!

These shoes exhaust the hell out of your feet while walking because they are stiff and hard, wore them three times, and now they sit in my closet leeching off of me rent-free..
