I'm new to this game and picked this character because she is cool. I have no idea what half of what you've said means, but i feel like ive learned something regardless. thanks!
Your guides get better and better with each one. I also really liked how this guy seemed to have a "You know why you're here and I'm going to give you what you're here for" mentality towards it.
fun fact for the calvados (laser) - if you hit it and roman cancel, (the timing is very generous) you can combo it by running in, CS, 2S, heavy sword throw, sword throw, run to retrieve swords and 216HS. it wallbreaks from literally any range, the only difference is that on 1/3 to wall calvados can sometimes wallbreak alone. This combo deals around 300 damage and is one of the most damaging in her kit
Yeah laser is amazing, especially after the most recent patch! To add on to anyone reading, laser now does more damage than the other super, even with other swords! Its only downside in comparison is that it builds a ton more burst meter back for the opponent due to the amount of multihits, but that doesnt matter if it's being used to close out the match
Thank you! It'll grow as I put in the work I'm sure. Been occupied with things behind the scenes rn but I hope to start back up again a bit into April with video content on top of the streaming Also Testament I can't wait for 👀
Strive Ram is what I wanted Xrd's Ram to be: just swing those huge ass swords! In Xrd she only had a few moves where she'd use the swords directly, mostly it was just puppeteering the swords for set ups. While fun, it just doesn't have to same energy as swinging them have. I do admit missing her gatling but rekkas are a good compromise.
Strive I think did a great job of having a character's aesthetic and mechanic feel sync up for a complete character identity! Who wouldn't want a lil demon blob to swing a sword with the heft of a thousand rhinos? 😉
This is a great informative video, i feel like everything I need is in this and I wont need to look for a new guide in a month probably, but damn youre going fast, dont worry about making your videos longer but just go a bit slower
Watching this video and realized why she clicked for me since I'm a Bryan Fury main and it's mostly Keep out into a Punish / Counter Hit to the Wall into a Wall combo / Break lmfao
I need to watch the video again, I was way to focused on how you were doing like half of Faust's HP bar in one combo. Matches don't last long I'm assuming. Nerf literally everyone's damage.
All scenarios have nuance, so I'd need you specify which type of wall pressure to say. For example, if you otg close slash into sword throw in corner, they can jab or jump block. Just throwing the sword however they can't because the explosion hits on wake up. The best thing to do is record the CPU doing they scenario you're questioning, then try to see what you can do in response as the defender. And for getting an opponent to air block, depends which button you used but usually if you make someone block in the air you will be in advantage since they will also have landing recovery!
I hope to get some S2 content out for here eventually, right now juggling a new project for the channel (almost ready!) and learning my mains for S2 as well. I went back through the guides and tested though and luckily everything performed here still works, so luckily these werent changed by the patch.
Nope! It's this: glossary.infil.net/?t=Rekka Quarter Circle Back Punch for this iteration of Ramlethal. Preset move chains in specials, like Android 17 in Dragon Ball Fighterz, Noel in BlazeBlue, and such. When you hear Kizzie, Supernoon, Sajam, or whoever talking about her rekka's, thats the move theyre referring to
@@NuggyJones Thanks for clearing that up, man. I'm just learning Strive as a secondary to SFV and there's just so much going on in this game. Visually. Verbally. Mechanically. It's not as "clean" as SFV, but it's still pretty fun. EDIT :- So for Ram, do you need to do successive QCB+P inputs to continue the chain or just press P or?
@@DarkhorseSJ More than happy too! I got something Im working on behind the scenes that ties into it actually haha In Ram's case, it is successive inputs, similar to Yang's QCF + P in SF3 (idk if that sticks for future instalments). Just for context tho not all rekka's are like that, Noel in Blazeblue you do the motion to start it up, and after only asks for buttons (tho some follow ups might be a direction and button)
DP inputs are always a drag agreed. A trick I've found has helped some people is dont think of it as the complex motion, but instead think of it as doing a quarter circle after already holding forward!
@@ItzK0zy don't do it so hard. you just gotta hold forward, slide down, and then slide back to forward, and on the way you input your move. hope it helps.

Wahoo! So glad it could help :D The new patch had a ton of dope stuff to, so eventually I can hopefully revisit and build upon everything further

Okay so she can do the super fast super mid Leo back stance meat grinder I have learned.
Yeah her corner game is mega MonkaS, and she gets to block unlike Leo LOL
How to troq the second sword in the air mine goes in diagonal
In season three the flip is now a frame trap and has -2 frames if blocked

at the wall pressure can they jump block to avoid all options?
and would i be at a dissadvantage after getting block from an airborne opponent?

What is a "Wrecka Chain"? Honestly, you're the ONLY person I've ever heard use this terminology. Do you mean "Gatling Combo"?
