I like all 8 light at 1 time each day. My view that the lamps would all be light up on the holy temple menorah. Not 1 light at the time. I once read that the rabbis chose 1 candle per day... was to help families not have to have 8 x8 =64 candles for the completion of chanukkah. Another great rabbi said you start with all 8 one day. The next reduce it by 1 candle. Keep reducing 1 candle per each day.
