  • In Ethiopia, 40% of all girls are married before their 18th birthday. Tsigist, 16, was close to becoming one of them. However, with the help of her school, her parents agreed to change their plans and let her continue her education. Tsigist is now an active member of the school’s girls’ club, which is working to ensure that no girl or boy is married in childhood in their community.
The UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme to End Child Marriage works to ensure that adolescent girls at risk of, and affected by child marriage are effectively making their own informed decisions and choices regarding marriage, education and sexual and reproductive health; that relevant sectoral systems and institutions effectively respond to the needs of adolescent girls and their families; and that there is enhanced legal and political response to prevent child marriage and to support pregnant, married, divorced or widowed adolescent girls. #EndChildMarriage

The subtitles are unreadable to me unfortunately. It’s white on mostly yellow background. I hope in the future a little bit of attention is given to these details.

God gave us the right to free will,he also gave girls the right to dream, and the right to choose whether or not to marry therefore nobody has the right to dictate who a girl should marry and when its a god given right for girls to go to school, learn, discover, dream, abd get married if and when they feel ready, noone has the right to abuse those rights they belong to the girl not to tradition
