I did shoot the Benjamin 457 slugs out of my Texan SS definitely got some good products I’m sticking with what I got for now for quite some time good shooting as always
I am thoroughly impressed with that rig! They changed the caliber law for medium and large game air gun hunting here in Missouri so that will probably be the rig I go with for next season if I can get my hands on one! Phenomenal shooting as always brother! Great video as always 👍
Still love my original 357 but this is badass. If I didn't have a 50 cal Seneca double shot, and a western rattler 357 semi-auto as well as my original bulldog, I would pick this up.
I loved my 357 Bulldog. Very interested in this video, as 457 is an excellent caliber. I'm not thrilled about the 3000 psi capacity. You can tell those bullets take a while to get to the target. Yeah, that's not good. Fantastic shooting and excellent video as always!
Love the Benjamin air rifle. Ive been using them on the farm or at camp for years. Not sure the model but it was a break barrel all wooden stock. Got pulled over once because the police seen it and thought it was a shotgun. Not on par with this beast but it was a straight shooter
Love my .357cal BullDog this will be good too at .457cal, BUT it needs to come up to higher fps for better fpe, my daughters shoot too and love the feel of the BullDog .357, oh by the way one of my daughters is US ARMY 14yrs
I just talked to Brian at Veridium Air and he has discovered that this .457 is a .357 with a .457 barrel. that's why it is limited in its fpe. it has 10 extra fpe over the .357 BulldogTaurus. not worth the purchase if you own a .357. Crosman made a grievous error in designing this gun underpowering it. he is currently in a valve development to increase its fpe to 550. however, if you take this new valve and put it on the .357 its power increase goes 500 fpe. when his research is completed you will be able to convert the .357 to a .457 with insane power levels or add the valve to your existing .457. remember VERIDIUM AIR, they are the future of air gunning. his research will be completed within 30 days. then hang on to your hat because a true monster is being released.
Well, I just bought the 357 this week. So has it been upgraded with the Walter barrel? And the label just doesn't show that yet. cause I know they put a beefier calking lever and a hammer Spring and larger air cylinder in this newer one.they say
its especially true in airguns, with limited power capacity and overall energies, that we trade off a lot to push heavier projectiles....I think this is a case of the 357 being better, for the simple fact that you can easily push an 81 grain pellet well past 950fps with the 357, while this big ol 457 is going to struggle to push past 750ish
Basically shooting an air gun with the power of a .45 ACP pistol. Will shoot out to 75 yards fairly flat at that velocity. Bullet will drop around 6 inches at 100 with my Ruger carbine.
Hmmm, I'm leaving another comment, I was sure I watched this the other day, and I did, but I must have forgotten to give it a "Like", so I had to watch it again just to make sure I really liked it, yup, I like it.
Mr hollowpoint makes some great rounds. 58 grain out of my 25cal marauder drops pigs in their tracks and at 100 yards (lazered it) popping heads off dandelions.
SO .457 bull Dog vs .50 AEA Challenger my .357 short barrel Challenger shoots 50 yrds easy 65 yrds bullet drops a bit but easy shooting 100yrds is possible but the bullet drops several feet and so great gun but I want to shoot farther what do I get to shoot 150yrds? I was thinking a AEA.357 Big 9 would be good for long shots up to one hundred yrds but I dont know. people are going to start taking dear @150yrds because of this video. awasom shooting RICK
Benjamin need to get with the program....why not change the stock on this gun, and that 457 should have been 900fps, regulator, is there any after market stocks 4 this gun

it doesn't have the fps/fpe as my custom benjamin bulldog .357 @ 360 fpe @ 1100 fps. but I want one to customize, with > 1,000 fps @ 600 fpe. it would then be more powerful than my AEA B&W S.457 and the Texan .457. Hey Rick why didn't you shoot like a 300 grain or like a 275 or 255 grain slug out of that gun so we could see if it had any kind of performance as far as speed and foot-pounds I mean I've got a 50 caliber aea rifle and I shoot 300 grains out of it I wouldn't even think about shooting a 350 or a 360 grain bullet out of it I was just curious why you shot such a heavy slug when you know it wouldn't really get that grade of performance
That’s what gr they use at Benjamin for testing . So I used I’d it . I did shoot 300 gr in the video it was the gravity mag test shot great I saw chronograph numbers of 757 fps
How can the airgunning community go on without wishing a well recovery to stroke victim southern gunner. One of the few UA-camrs I can hit like soon as the video is posted cause it's gonna be fire
Man alive. That steel target was so far away it was moving back before the sound made it back to the mike. Just Amazing shooting.

He even hit the same position the second time! This is amazing!

Try and get the blackpowder 457 sabots that hold room for a 357 solid copper projectile.

When you shot the gofer the last 2 shots went right through the middle hole/ flap thing ! Great shooting
It's my dream to have Benjamin in my country

I've got to add this to my collection
Hey, Rick, how are you getting the Walther barrel in that? I bought one today And it has the rifled barrel. Dang good shooting at a hundred
Nice shooting brother 👏 you nail it
thank you for doing it not tethered that helps alot on decision making.
do they come with walther barrel

I think it's kind if silly of them to make this in .45 without adding a higher pressure / larger air resovoir.
It does have a larger resovoir.
agreed, if it cant push a 457 projectile past 900 , whats the point
@@brianbensinger6800 he was referring to only 3,000 PSI for that tube. They should have made it with an extended 4500 PSI tube

Instead of this model, why not bring bk the Benjamin rough, that tactical look ...different calibers would be awesome

Great video but I needed in south Africa , special in my farm
I’ve been telling people for years about the accuracy of the.457 pellets that Chad makes , they are Lazers
Lookin’ good, my man!
What if you lightened the 3rd slug to keep the group. Close enough to not even matter but a thought.
I am so interested to have 1 in my country
Very best 457 bull dog very accurate and powerful where can I get one.
Would love to see it with a DonnyFL
I would decrease the hammer spring get it shooting about 300fpe get more shots in it or maybe 260fpe.
Sick
Love it!!!!!
Is there a pitbull option for this
whoooooooooooooooooooooo!
How can I get it in south Africa

Lacks real power
Good..
Good shooting. It's louder than the .357, almost sounds like a rifle. I'll research whether Benjamin makes a suppressor for this powerful airgun.
457 sounds louder than a 357? You don't say.
Benjamin doesn't make suppressors.
Donnyfl does though.
@@dangerous8333there is suppressor for 357
Que pancada!!
So is that just as lethal as a similar caliber traditional firearm?
What grain were the pellets 🤦
Have you tried dieseling when it's really cold?
can you share a link to where you bought the ammo??
Does anyone know if Benjamin got rid of the ping, I have a .357 I bought a few years ago. Thinking about putting a depinger in.
Does anyone know how many shots per tank it gets?
3 good shots
Can pitbull do mods on this
Yes
