Am buying one of these and hope to contract it out to local FD for bush fire assistance and heavy duty equipment/difficult access delivery and then plunk big truck camper on the back in off season and live and work out of it.
turned out great for mostly repurposed stuff!! couple questions, what was their budget? and did you purchase the bumper monitor or did they already have it? I'm building a 916 freightliner for a local department as well and need one.
@@dirtybirdfab5378 I will ask Herb on the budget. They supplied the monitor and high pressure hose. They started the project and got overwhelmed. Small volunteer department with great guys with big hearts. It's a lot of work. They used parts from 3 different engines to get as far as they did. That's why they called it Scrappy. I will check with Herb, but I this it was under $18,000.
Thanks to Vince for going out on a Sunday to deliver this truck and making this video.
