- What's better than an economy flight? Premium Economy, obviously. But, what's worse than that but still better than economy? A couch. A sky couch to be exact. This is our experience.

I remember testing this in a hangar in Auckland when they first proposed it and they said then and have continued to say so - it was never envisioned for 2 adults to be able to lie flat together. Perfect for extra comfiness for 2 but sleeping flat really just for one.
That's good to know! As someone who has had a career in end user testing, if you give costumers the option to do it they WILL do it. I agree though, definitely really only doable for one person at a time.
You didn't explain very clearly how the seats are configured.
When the footrests are extended do you have to sleep over the contours of the seats or is that made flat somehow?
It doesn't look very comfortable and it would've been good to see if 2 people can actually use it as it doesn't appear possible unless you were small and very thin.
Thanks for sharing
Hey thanks for the feedback! I agree we could have covered some stuff better, so sorry about that!
The seats become fully flat when the footrest is out so it basically felt like sitting cross legged on the floor.
I think we agreed that you probably couldn't fit two regular adults laying down unless you were tiny. For one person it was amazing though
I managed to have a 3 seater to myself in Economy because the other two passengers didn’t show up! I’m a v light sleeper so it was so good to get some zzz in and I also flew to Tokyo!
This is THE DREAM haha.
Hi everyone good morning happy Wednesday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is amazing and you all amazing Supporter
Thank you so much! And happy Wednesday!!
@One Bag, One World your welcome and happy Wednesday night and I hope you having amazing day today
Sweetheart….how old are you? Can you write? If it’s plural, then use the right words!
Thanks for your video because I though of get Skycouch for NZ to Vancouver but I am sceptical about how big it is for 2 adults. I think for 1 adult & a child it would be ok.
Yeah two adults could be difficult! That's a long flight so best of luck :)
Not worth it for two adults. We couldn't get comfortable.
That's how Bree felt as well. I (Jeff) was optimistic that we could have made it work with me sitting up but you are probably right and this is better for one person.
You didn’t show a whole lot about the sky couch you silly goose 🤭
Haha, in hindsight we definitely could have filmed it a bit more! Thanks for watching nonetheless!
If the ppl in front of you recline, how far back can they actually go? And would you know if you have 2 ppl on your booking, can you book 2 rows to yourselves or do they only allow 1 row per booking, for the sky couches?
I can't say for 100% but I want to say we could have each booked a sky couch if we wanted to.
Also the person reclining their seat wouldn't seem to matter if you were sleeping. If you were sitting up it would be like any other chair
I am doing Auckland to LA and going to squish with my partner haha
Best of luck! haha
Reminds me of a train trip in China we, alternated with a top bunk, we shared it for 2 hours. Couldn't be fairer😅.
Haha Jeff had a similar experience booking a train from Beijing to Shanghai, 6 people on two benches looking at each other for the whole duration of the overnight train. He said he ended up sleeping in the luggage rack.
Thanks for the awesome review, not too many people have reviewed such a unique product offering!
Thank you so much!

The sleeping thing is a gimmick. The only value is not having to be compressed like sardines with strangers in that horrible tight three seat configuration. That is worth gold in a flight longer than 7 hours
You went from auckland not Christchurch
Never mind sorry love your vid
You were spot on :) thank you for watching!
