All "american music" came from the blues..every bit of it...every fan of any music should watch this. IT is so cool that high schoolers made this...great job!
Could they pack more misinformation into this short? Let’s start with the mispronunciation of Big Bill Broonzy’s name and calling Willie Dixon a member of Muddy’s Band. Ouch.
When did the Blues ever "rule the music industry in America"? Lotta hyperbole goin' on. And, not to take anything away from Muddy, but there would have been a vibrant, kick-ass Blues scene in Chicago with or without him.
Proud of this mini documentary from Aurora high school students!
Muddy Waters the Father of Chicago Blues!!!!🎸
💯AMEN💯
Can we make a movie about Chicago Blues and it’s impact on society and the community. I would be so down for this.
Try Cadillac Records. Great film.

You missed the fact that Muddy also Paid all of his musicians, and unionized them. A big Big man, Muddy was.

Closed Captions would be nice.
Big Bill 'Bronzey'?
I feel Muddy, can't decide if I want to play harmonica or guitar either.
In this documentary it says that Muddy Waters was born in 1915, but according to Wikipedia he was born in 1913.
I couldn't count the amount of errors like that and worse in this vid.
They didn't his real birth date, because he didn't it himself for sure
Nobody knows when these boys were born, there was no registration offices on the plantation

Epi Foster no pero los hijos son buenos bluseros
Idiot
died in 1983 RIP
this is great but why do they have to keep rehashing all the old stories and shit that we already know there's so much more to be told
Obligatory Willie Dixon comment reminding history of his contributions from playing bass and writing for many other prominent bluesmen of the day.
Alan Lomax…very much a Texan, not a ‘northerner’.
An Austinite to boot!

Oh and Muddy was NOT a Maxwell Street musician. There were plenty of his contemporaries who were, but Muddy didn’t play there. He played the clubs.
