It is shocking how White Americans do not realize and treasure black people. Blacks are creative, amazing and loving. Imaging the USA without Blacks - what a sad and pitiful place it would be. SO no need for racial hate lets enjoy this wonderful thing we got. Love you all
Of course, but it was Clapton’s and other Brit’s band’s love of the American blues artists which they made loud and clear when they reached the States that helped revive many Blues artist’s careers, so let’s not forget that.
Wouldn't say that but they did have to learn from someone? There are dudes around today - ingwe malmsteen , Billy Gibbons who could proudly do justice to these classics today? Just an op
The blues was dead and the. Masters were starving. The Brits made it accessible with their loud guitars. Credit Vox and Marshall Amps too. Many Masters had to go to Europe and then Britain to be heard. Ask Buddy Guy ect

It's amazing that I've actually seen all these guys live in the 60's ! Mostly due to the Blues Buses which used to tour the UK in 1966 onwards for a couple of years. It’s there, but you gotta work to find it. Mind you, it’s always been that way. When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to Monk Montgomery, Wes’ brother, who told me how dad and a couple other friends would go to downtown Indianapolis and sneak around to the jazz and blues clubs on Indiana Avenue, pretending they were working on school reports. Later, my brother got caught sneaking into The Slippery Noodle to see Yank Rachell. He told Dad “the more things change”.
Brownie plays so smooth and clean, it's hard to believe his licks. Just so clean and not flubbing anywhere. As to Sonny, the harmonica just seems to fit like a glove. Their harmony was incredibly tight; every time I heard them sing it was like they were precise beyond belief. Sonny to piss off Brownie by attempting to overshadow him with the harp. Man I saw and heard some harsh words, but I love these guys. Brownie wherever you are in Heaven, keep on singing until I get there with my Martin too. Lub you guys !!

Although the blues evolved in the southern states of the USA from the late 19th century, it has lots of musical influences from Africa. African enslaved people brought their musical traditions with them when they were transported to work in the North American colonies. 10:01 Source: BBC Online

Ohhh Willie Dixon ... Everywhere...
Although the blues evolved in the southern states of the USA from the late 19th century, it has lots of musical influences from Africa. African enslaved people brought their musical traditions with them when they were transported to work in the North American colonies. 10:01
