All fantastic items. The rubber coated nets are game changers for fish health care. Lure retrievers have saved me 1000s every year in time and $. Wether it's bass or trout fishing can't go wrong with the innovations 🎉
I bought the Mustang manual/auto inflatable vest not only because it is way more comfortable to fish in from my kayak but I deal with seizures randomly so I wanted the peace of mind that if the worst happens I want to be head up and above the water long enough to wake up. For anyone thinking about it, they are affordable and NOT hard to recharge when you have to change the CO2 canister which should be checked every couple of years.
I thought this had the chance to be a more "generic" video of items you use but could be easily replaced by any other version of the item... Was I wrong! Some genuinely new items to me (knot glue) that will seriously make a difference for me! Thank you for the knowledge!
Tbh, the fg knot is already stronger than the line itself. I'm really curious to see if it makes a difference in a test versus a non treated knot. Escape all other knots that fail at less than 50% line strength.
I pulled the trigger on a megabass orochi brailist for my heavy jig rod and paired it with a Lews hypermag and your persistence with that rod as the best jig rod is absolutely spot on. I really appreciate the time and work you both do.
The Mustang life jackets are great. Invested in two (one of me and one for any guest angler joining me). Good idea to wear em 100% of the time in winter when bibs / big jackets / boots are in play. I'm definitely cashing in on a large loadstone. My boat is a 2002 so there's no fancy storage areas or tool holders. Will add a few baits to the cart to hit $50 min for free shipping.
WHEN DOES CRANKBAIT GUIDE DROP? Tim, Matt. Just ordered my new Metanium DC, thanks for the help. Can't wait to see how it compares to my Curado DCs and Zillion.
I am like the abominable snow creature in Rudolph, the rednosed reindeer, I sink. 😂 I finished the whole day with my inflatable vest on you. Don’t even know it’s there and it keeps me safe. And I have fallen in a couple of times so it’s helped. 😂😂
I’m right there with you. People say, “Why would I wear it, I know how to swim?” But you can’t swim if you’re unconscious. If you’re fighting a fish, slip, hit your head, get knocked out and fall in, you’re screwed. Especially when you’re alone. Like you said, you don’t even notice it’s there, so why not just wear it? 🤷🏻♂️
Yay, as if fishing equipment wasn’t a big enough cost. Now I have a whole other expence (that I want). The college fund is gonna take a hit, good thing she got a softball scholarship. Great info guys, love it.
Another good video. Two things to add. First off I highly recommend one of those fold-up multi-tools that has got pliers, screwdrivers etc in it. My dad and I were fishing a couple weeks ago and the lake we were at was no wake, and at the time I just had my trolling motor on the back. 12 ft boat works fine. We get down there I'm walking around the boat loading stuff up getting ready to put in and I look down and there's a bright shiny screw in the bottom of the boat in the back. Turns out the screw that holds the head of the trolling motor on had rattle loose and luckily the nut was in the back of the boat also. No big deal. Except between the truck and the boat and all of our stuff, none of us said anything resembling a Phillips or a flathead screwdriver. Ended up using the pocket knife to get it close and then snug it up with the loop that you tie off on a spinnerbait in a pair of pliers. $30,000 worth of tools at work, and I'm stuck with how to screwdriver lol. Second thing I thought of and maybe I was wrong but I thought the net that you guys listed and the lure retrieval tool were from the same brand. If that's the case, wouldn't be a great market for them to build something like that similar to a pool net. You got telescoping handle and you change the end depending on what you're doing. Unscrew the net from the end and put the lure retriever on it. I don't know, just seem like a good idea to me. Mainly cuz I got small boat and I don't have room for a lot of stuff lol
Multipurpose pole system is a great idea to send to the manufacturer. Maybe they can have a basic start with a netting system for fishing, and allow them to purchase optional attachments separately. Or maybe they can get a better buy selling all items at once.
Whats the best way to keep the dummy baits on a A-rig from flopping over and getting caught? A #2 split ring then the screw lock? Maybe a #5 barrel swivel then screw lock?
Note: direct sunlight cures UV Knot Sense right away. If you're using it on a bright day, work in the shade while applying it, then move it into the bright sunlight to cure. The other useful thing is that as long as it's in the shade you can shape it to smooth out rough transitions from line to knot and then hit it with the UV flashlight to cure it.
Can we get a glide bait/ swim bait buyers guide? Interested in finding a good budget glide for ponds and a lake/tournament glide that’s more expensive. That would be awesome!
I think it would be cool if you actually showed how you successfully retrieve a lure from a snag using both pole retriever and chain-weight retriever. Nothing to be embarrassed about. It would actually be educational!
We have a detailed video from a few years ago, I also used the hound dog style successfully in a video this Spring... ua-cam.com/video/ZwVsjbRHg64/v-deo.html
I find it hilarious that people that talk about forward facing like it's cheating do not talk about mapping. I am sure mapping makes a bigger difference for people that know what they are doing.
Would've never thought of glueing connection knots on leaders let alone the knots to your baits/lures before. I get the concept of it just never thought of it , especially the knots to your baits/lures. That one should be more than enough without glueing it.
I had an alternator go out with dead battery in my car. I dumped the entire charge from noco into the dead battery and drove it to the shop. The mechanics were like how did you drive it here? 😂
This is a bass fishing channel my guy freshwater fisherman won’t have that problem. Have had mine for years! Yes it still works don’t ask me how I know 😂

That is a very wise decision! You're an important part of the Tactical Family, take care of yourself!

It's not the most glamorous topic, but it's very important. We're so glad you chose to give it a watch!
Which hook cutters do you recommend?

Great boat safety guys and exactly what you need on a Bass boat. Thanks guys go TB! 👍🏻
Thanks Gary!
Hard to beat tackle warehouse reel covers, they are the thickest I have found
I have following you for about a 10 years and so many of it ms today was mentioned longtime ago which shows how good and important they are.

Now this is a great Xmas gift idea video for fishermen thanks Matt and tim
You're welcome!
WHEN DOES CRANKBAIT GUIDE DROP? Tim, Matt. Just ordered my new Metanium DC, thanks for the help. Can't wait to see how it compares to my Curado DCs and Zillion.
You're going to love it! And the crankbait guide is coming quick 😉

Good video guys. Can we expect one of these for tackle storage?
Yes, storage solutions aren't on sale yet.
Thanks!
Thanks Todd!
Rod Glove rod sleeves are very nice. Highly recommend
They're amazing for the $$$!
Minibolt cutters for big flipping hooks or trebles that end up in body parts is a must.
We carry these... bit.ly/3RrUSFx
Maybe you guys can get into saltwater bass species while still staying on brand😁
Awesome video idea! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jake!
Wow this has some JUICE! Thanks guys!
Thanks! And you're welcome, we're happy to do it!
Quality upload
How do you guys feel about the berkley maxscent line?
Great buyers guide series!
Yay, as if fishing equipment wasn’t a big enough cost. Now I have a whole other expence (that I want). The college fund is gonna take a hit, good thing she got a softball scholarship. Great info guys, love it.
Hang in there!!
Good stuff
We need a big soft swimbait video this fall/winter. I feel like it’s been a while since u guys chucked the 8 inch huds around.
Thanks

That's a really unique idea! Buy the pole once and then swap in attachments 🤔
I've been wearing Mustang gear for years. Worn by the CG here in the PNW.
Ours have all been really reliable.
Whats the best way to keep the dummy baits on a A-rig from flopping over and getting caught? A #2 split ring then the screw lock? Maybe a #5 barrel swivel then screw lock?
Love these videos! But I need a fishing video!!
We do too!! Hang in there a little longer and then we're going fishing!!
Did you ever load your hudds up with sent to help make it easier for the bass to eat. Makes a hudd slippery
Yes, we did it for years in the old days, we don't bother anymore now that our gear is dialed in and we can hit them really hard.
Matt said he wears that life vest almost daily 😂. Tim “got em” !!! You know Matt was lying on that one.
I bought my boga grips and for me all I need is within the quarter lbs. I test them annually and they just work day in and out.
That's the other scale 👍 Boga's are incredibly accurate!
I love to apply a VERY small dab of glue to my FG knot when it's thin line on spinning setups.
It definitely helps!
Note: direct sunlight cures UV Knot Sense right away. If you're using it on a bright day, work in the shade while applying it, then move it into the bright sunlight to cure. The most important thing about inflatable life jackets is that they float you face up if you are unconscious. Saw them tested on another video.
Maps have caught more fish than livescope, and no one said a word.
100%!!
I know it is a good amount more expensive but the Bubba Pro scale seems far superior. Is it not?
It's only superior after it can pass certification over and over again. For official purposes, it's worthless if it can't do that.
Can we get a glide bait/ swim bait buyers guide? Interested in finding a good budget glide for ponds and a lake/tournament glide that’s more expensive. That would be awesome!
Its coming soon 😉
FishLab and Cali Glides. Best inexpensive glides/swimbaits out there.
I forget to ask. What storage box was Matt using to store his NOCO Charger. I would much prefer that over the bag.
That's this case: bit.ly/4901jqV
@@tacticalbassin Thanks much! Placed an order using your provided links.
Was hoping for a swimbait vid for the sales.
Swimbaits aren't on sale yet 😉 We'll see you soon!
@tacticalbassin spoke too soon lol, can't wait!
I think it would be cool if you actually showed how you successfully retrieve a lure from a snag using both pole retriever and chain-weight retriever. Nothing to be embarrassed about. It would actually be educational!
They have a video on them about 3-4 years ago I believe
Matt has a good video from years ago
We have a detailed video from a few years ago, I also used the hound dog style successfully in a video this Spring... ua-cam.com/video/ZwVsjbRHg64/v-deo.html
You need to try the pitbull braid cutters.
We've used them on and off for years, they were designed in a shop right next to where we all used to live.
I love them better than all other braid cutters bar none.
Evolv is the way to go with rod sleeves
I find it hilarious that people that talk about forward facing like it's cheating do not talk about mapping. I am sure mapping makes a bigger difference for people that know what they are doing.
Mapping is HUGE!!
I popped the magnets out of my magspring pliers and flipped em so they stick closed. Way more transportable on a lanyard
Very interesting idea!
Would've never thought of glueing connection knots on leaders let alone the knots to your baits/lures before. I get the concept of it just never thought of it , especially the knots to your baits/lures. That one should be more than enough without glueing it.
We typically only glue our leader connections, and only with extremely light line. But it makes a big difference!
🎶🎵 "Fat guy in little coat..."🎵🎶🤣jk!
😂😂😂
What is the other scale that is official that you hinted at?
Boga Grip (not the various knock offs)
@ thank you!
@ thank you
I had an alternator go out with dead battery in my car. I dumped the entire charge from noco into the dead battery and drove it to the shop. The mechanics were like how did you drive it here? 😂
It's amazing how well they work!
TB “ First one life jackets!..”
UA-cam “ inputs commercial…”
🤦🏻♂️ Of course
Hey, do you guys glue your knots? 🤣
😂
What's the other scale?
The actual Boga Brand Boga Grip, but it ways in larger increments
😎❤️🎣👍
Thanks Tim for not boat flipping the fish.
I stopped buying inflatables after using them working on a shrimp boat. After six months they are useless and completely coroded.
This is a bass fishing channel my guy freshwater fisherman won’t have that problem. Have had mine for years! Yes it still works don’t ask me how I know 😂
That scale is not water proof or resistant
Not even a little... but it's the most accurate scale you can put on a boat. We keep ours in plano waterproof boxes and never have issues. 👍🏼
