As much as I liked initial D, I look back on the anime and would say it looks like a run of the mill plot on the surface, but it had a lot more symbolism of the art style, (such as the fujiwara zone being the flow state), or the large amount ob learning about the technical aspects of cars. More or less, I would not watch a remake of this anime as this is too cliche and there is not much depth. Another example in Initial D which is the commentary Ryosuke takashi makes during the races later on in the series, such as explaining the difference between mechanical tuning of takumi’s 86 vs wataru’s boom turbo 86, which allows initial D to become more popular than some anime which bored me to death watching. (I have watched Initial D three times through, and twice through Wangan Midnight, and once through this series, and I can say that without a doubt, it will catch on less than the new MF Ghost anime coming out in the following year. There are really no reason for characters motives in ex-driver other than, I want to be justice blah blah blah, fill in the rest of the formulaic plot. Don’t take this too hard, as Initial D was originally intended for older kids, such as those in their high school part of their education, so of course you weren’t curious enough to look up a discussion on initial d, because you couldn’t see the time and different level of effort it took to craft the anime through funimation’s dub, and the real life techniques shown throughout the course of the anime, such as the gutter run, inner wheel lifting, and other technical details such as the important tire preservation mentioned numerous times throughout the series of Initial D.
Since Rei usually rides her motorcycle/car she is used to the fast speed caused by the power ups she added unlike Nina where she has to get used to the power ups/high speed.
Not quite. If you remember, before takumi blows his engine, the tachometer can be visibly seen around 13k rpm, and although this looks similar with the words, ultra and step drive, there was no shift light and again, the tachometer definitely read up to higher numbers.

the Miata's engine was originally designed to be boosted, but the idea was scrapped before the car went into production. Instead they made some mazdaspeed versions a few years later. TLDR: More than you would expect.
With the help of the supercharger the Miata achieved 80mph.

NBに3ローター+ツインターボとかの方がまだギリ行けそうだ。スーチャは高回転になればなるほど機械損失が増えて効率落ちるしベルトに負担かかるし重いからストレートの速さ求めるならスーチャ要らないと思うなぁ...。その上nosまで積んでるとヘッド飛ぶゾ！！
ロータリーエンジンにヘッドは無いんだよなぁ。元ネタがGT300ロードスターだから、スポット増しやロールケージ等の補強追加やワイドボディによるタイヤの大径化、リアサスペンションのプッシュロッド化やFC3Sデフ流用等の改造で市販車とは別物になってる。NBは見た目変わっただけで基本設計は殆どNAと変わらないから、20Bのツインターボ載せてもフロントへビーになって水温油温も馬鹿みたいに上がるだけ。
ツインチャージャーならツインターボよりも温度上がりにくいし、低回転からパワーもついてくるから扱いやすくなる。確かにコンプレッサーは高回転域でパワー食われるけど、高回転はタービンでカバー出来るから問題は無いはず。
ヘッド飛ぶ はあくまで表現の一種として使ったんだよなぁ..........
NAとNBはむしろ見た目は殆ど変わらないが強度は割と違うぞ.............それにNAとかスポット増ししてもふにゃふにゃボディだぞ(NBもですが.......)、ロードスターだと補強しても無理でしょ。NBの方がまだマシだってはなしよ。
