Yeah literally every cars now🤣 i missed the wood trims or aluminium. They always put gloss black trim and screens now🤣
Seriously, not a single knob, neither for volume, nor for temperature. The entire climate system is buried in the screen, which is the norm, but the fact that it's still touch based, no sliding or nob is such a huge turn off.

The engines are powerful and efficient. If it had a v8 then you’d complain at how it only got 11mpg and added hundreds of pounds to the weight.
70-$80k and we get fake exhausts! What a shame MB.
I think MB’s strategy is to have those cool, more real stuff on its AMG high perf line.

@@drewgreenhalgh9162wow! Surprised by this comment. If I want an electric MB I’d get an EQ. Designing it intentionally to look fake exudes a fakeness attitude from a premium brand. It would have been equally easy to design without the cutouts and make a nice elegant design
@@drewgreenhalgh9162 I just saw on X platform MB is rethinking its EV strategy to possibly drop it; instead focus more on ICE and Hybrid. You know what I think? Better strategy rather than following mandates from the government!

Well this E class looks to be a successful one, since the G30 beat the w213 in sales, in the executive category of sedans it’s usually a 50-50 chance, if the 5 series lead one generation and then the next gen 5 would be a flop, and suddenly the E class prevail as the 5 series flops

Great review guys, as usual. This is a nice new luxury sedan, next level tech. They maybe overdid it with the disco-club lights for my taste, but... it does look impressive nevertheless.

It’s Feb, and dealers still can’t get an allocation for or spec out a 450 version. Maybe they should release it as an early 2025 model, since everyone else had their 24’s out last fall.
Got a 2017 400e 4Matic. Loving it. Great video - I like the front of the vehicle...but I prefer the V6 I'm in - the 4 sounds harsh. Great review

It’s no coincidence that as Mercedes is making their worst vehicles of late, they are hitting with the overzealous gimmicks. Mercedes logo in the taillights?! Cheap plastics on the doors and throughout interior
There is no cheap plastic in this thing. You have probably not even sat in one.

Never been fan of “nesting doll” model lineups, and always loved the classic double-round signature E-Class headlights; however, the E lost its way for a while yet finally looks so much better than the past few gens.

Hey guys great video remember on those leather seats The leathers brand new with leather in time it'll stretch out and it'll become smoother as time goes by, a good sign on the quality of the build on the car, I would say hop back in that same car a year after normal driving every day going to work or whatever your life is and jump in those seats and then give a new comparison

The 2024 GLC300 4MATIC SUV cabin is less in dB. Much more quiet. If I remember correctly your rating on the ‘24 GLC is 52.1, which is also better than the BMW X3.
You guys do a great job but think more about driving these vehicles daily - adjust the Radio stations / show how easy to change the stations while driving, show the temperature controls and how to adjust it while driving. Adjust your seat while driving, adjustment rear view camera / mirror while driving, discuss the spare tire & location and how easy is it to change a tire- Most people don't care about the 360-view camera, we just want to see when we back up!!! Talk about the service schedule - recommended service intervals - oil changes every x mile's, is there a charge or free. Just my 2 cents guys-Keep up the good work gentleman.

The E-class in my opinion is one of the more unique models in the lineup. It has the look and luxury of the S class and some of the sportiness of maybe a C- class. Its definitely the right size. The Mercedes benz emblem in the shape of the taillights has to be rhe most controversial aspect i’ve seen from the brand. Its different. The screens are well integrated but it does look overwhelming and it’s a trap for fingerprints. I question if the whole dash is glass or plastic?
My Corolla also has a 2.0L engine

I like mercedes for the smooth comfortable relaxing drive... The tech on the W213 is a pain in the ass. I won't be buying a W214 with all the crap on that bonging at me if I go over the limit.
So MB-Tex is actually not a fake/synthetic leather, or leatherette! Full leather seats to Mercedes standards require a full hide to be stretched to form the seat. MB-Tex is just leather particles put together to form a material that is made from real leather, but doesn't have the supple feel or scent of a full, stretched hide - but it's not fake or man-made! Mercedes leather has a softer feel and a more luxurious texture, but MB-Tex is far more durable, so it depends what you're looking for!
I am thinking the typical buyer of these is about 50 years old...is that ambient light pulsing with the music really something is important?

Even the S class is not an S class anymore. Look at the W221 or the W140. That were true S classes. Not this techy lighting fancy plastic crap we have today with fake exhausts, fake sound, the absence of wood and tiny turbo engines that just won’t last hundreds of thousands of miles. It is fancy but it’ll never have true class or is luxurious.
It’s cheap inside and horrible screen fatigue. A decent 6 cylinder E class will be $100k. Just go for S class - it’s bigger, better and the 6 cylinder is $20k more than the E. Way better car and interior materials.

At 8 minutes 35 seconds in the video you can see why I would never want this type of screen in my car. It would drive me crazy! 10 years ago they made touch screen with Mat finish that don’t show finger prints. In My car I clean the screen 2 times a year and it don’t even need it.

It has been many months since I saw the preview for this car, which at the time I thought it looked so good and couldn't wait for it to be available. I've since been looking at other cars such as BMWs and now the interior on this is looking so weird that I've lost interest

make haptic buttons for climate and volume control, make that stupid camera a actual dashcam, replace the steering wheel with the previous one, then you actual have an upgrade.
Bleh exterior. Not a fan of the glare on digital cluster. Stupid trend removing the hood covers from the instrument cluster. Sunlight glare is worsened with the increasing use of screens everywhere, not to mention the safety risk and distraction it creates. All it takes is a second of glare washing out vital readouts.
Correction, wheel selection starts from 18" size.

Nice car for sure, but these legacy automakers make it too easy for Genesis to steal customers.
These new Benzes seem so chintzy with the non-designed massive screens, plastic black trim everywhere, and nightclub lighting. The black package on the outside looks like crap too - doesn’t fit the E-Class image at all. Hopefully the AMG won’t be a 4cyl…

Hopefully they've improved the build and material quality in here compared to their recent models like the C Class and GLE both which have awful build and material quality. Mercedes ended up transferring all their R&D budget towards electric vehicles only for that to blow up badly because their EVs aren't selling well nor are they very good as their build quality is just as poor as their new ICE vehicles. Everyone needs to stop this electric nonsense. Hybrid and ICE needs to remain and they need to fix their quality now. They should've taken BMWs strategy and build electric versions on normal platforms and just offer electric as one option. Now they've shifted all their money to something they're not doing so well in only for their ICE cars to also now suffer. So to make up for declining sales they increase prices and you have a very average car when it's priced so high. This brand isn't worth it anymore.
Only good Benz is diesel.
