I can totally relate to the whole "the game is not the same if your main is not there" point.
When Tekken 8 released without Lei, i felt less motivated every day I played (not to mention the other issues the game has/had making it worse). Luckily, my secondary (Lee) is fun to play as well, but obviously, he's not as enjoyable as Lei is. Hopefully, he is announced. Getting tired of honest clean Tekken, lmao.
Gratz on hitting Master, dude. I never played SF outside of some old titles. It does look appealing. Might give it a try someday.
Whoever gave you the advice to not listen to Ken and jp players about them downplaying their character is 100% spoton. Don’t ever listen to them, Ken players use excuses like “well Luke is better than Ken so Ken isn’t all that good”
Ken is one of my most played characters and that character has never felt close to weak in the last 3 SF games. Ken mains are delusional 😂

The game went from Ken fighter 6 on release to Akumer and Bison fighter 6 😂

In Tekken 8, you feel as though you’re in the deep ninth circle of hell, SF6 you’re in a lounge chilling out. Mike’s words but I’m paraphrasing.

Ran across one Zafina with relentless pressure I couldn’t get out of, a Lee who was a straight up bully and a King that thought they were playing MK1 and kept backing away like a coward

The win rate requirements for master is a lax one in comparison to tekken. So now you're just playing for MR.

Hopefully they will give us Gen or Nash eventually. It sucks not having a character you are interested in one of your favorite fighting game series.

From what I understand the reason Master rank is "easy" to get to in this game. SFV it was incredibly difficult so to address this they made it "easy" to get to Masters, but difficult once you desire Legend status.
Street fighter uses an elo rating system for master rank players. Which is a much better assessment of skill level between players. Overall, I think the way ranked mode was handled in Street Fighter was done pretty well.
It's biggest issue is simply not enforcing sets or at least not enforcing the winner to stay on for the rematch. One and Done players is really the game's biggest issue in ranked mode.
The Master rank structure in SF6 is actually great, it’s similar to like a Chess elo ranking. Would love to see a series on you trying to climb to 1800
street fighter 6 is definitely way more forgiving than the older games. I had no issues doing all the combos immediately in this game the windows seem so forgiving but maybe I've been grinding those big boy Kazuya combos for to long.

Im playing SF6 casually now after taking a break in tekken, rankeds are waaaaaaaaaaay better than tekken's, sf6 can't give me any stress, im always chill no matter what. Tekken 8 is very high demanding and punishing for no reason

Definetly wanna hop back on SF6 and buy the second season pass probably soon. Last time I played before Tekken released I was in gold with Cammy and Ryu, but losing didn’t frustrate me, cause I’m aware and not that good and loosing felt fair.
I played Tekken 8 again this weekend, but I realized I’m done with the unga bungas and invisible frames that reach you from half the screen.
I been on sf6 way more than tekken lately. Love playing Bison. Feels great to get my main back now if I could only get Heihachi back lol. I felt the same way about the roster as soon as I saw that bison Trailer I bought sf6. I havent actually taken SF seriously since 4 came out.

I've heard SF6 is easier to get to the highest rank before. I'm only now starting to get into it, considering I'm fairly new to modern fighting games so it always takes at least a few weeks of only practice mode before I can be competitive at all.
I slightly disagree with your take on Bison's strength. On one hand, his offensive pressure is the best in the game, bar none. Too many details to go into but trust me, its his domain. Unfortunately, his defense is kind of weak as it usually is. Its hard to argue Bison is straight up better than Guile or Rashid, simply because of his defense being weak and his neutral approach being a bit predictable once you fight him enough. Definitely high tier. Top 8 for sure.
Only time will tell. He seems mad to me but I'm still a newbie so could very easily be talking waffle 🧇

Damn in 6hrs Bison is my favorite character and I'm still diamond 4 🤦♂ Another thing Ken, Luke, Guile, Cammy and Akuma are very strong. I would even say they're stronger than Bison because Bison defense is one of the worse. All of those characters have reversals that you have to respect and strong offense. Bison is definitely up there but I don't think he's the best.

I got diamond 5 with bison and was pushing to master but just got cammys akumas (a cheater) and fellow bisons, im taking a break from thzt shit lol
The goal should be to get to 1800 mr, 1500 and below is still close to diamond level they just know how to anti air lol
I also stopped play SF6 just cause the roster wasn’t great imo I played some gief but seeing bison and akuma I’ll come back to check it out. Only if 6 had the sf5 roster I need Rog or Dudley Ed to me just isn’t fun/ interesting
In response to you being disappointed that you mastered sf6 so quick, you gotta realise that all the good players got to masters a long time ago, you were fighting people that have been hardstuck plat/Diamond for a whole 365 days, as the best character in the game currently. Like, there's still plenty for you to learn, don't get it twisted.

I hate how they changed placement matches. For instance, if you reach Master with 1 character, the next characters you play with can't be placed below diamond 1
They are trying to keep high level players away from lower level players. This is good for the game.
Don’t EVER listen to the Ken downplayers

I made MASTER in a 3hr session. SF6 ranks aren’t real until you get into MASTER.

@@RealMikeHollow with a 20 win streak lol. I just wish Capcom forced Master ranked players to run the set. No 1 and done. It would be perfection.
I think the reason people are more willing to finish the set in SF6 compared to Tekken 8 speaks to how truly awful the ranked system is in Tekken. Losing more points to people higher ranked than you just makes no sense in any way. When you factor that in with a system that doesn't force set play, then you can see why more players are incentivized to leave. For example: I'm playing at a Fujin level, most of the matches I end up getting are against Kishins or Bushins. I already know as soon as I see their rank, I'm probably going to lose because of the skill gap between Fujin/Raijin and Kishin/Bushin. Not only do I know I'm going to lose, I know I'm going to love a massive amount of points. Why stay? We're not playing ranked to learn, that's what player matches (or casuals, deathmatches, whatever) are for. Ranked is to gain points.
Rashid is the strongest character in the game Ken and Guile are also way better than Bison
