I used a dewalt reciprocating wood blade that has an anchor type tooth on the tip. Use the tip to go inside beside the key. Get a good bite and had to jerk out pretty hard but worked. Use gloves to get good leverage.
My key broke the same way. They have such a tiny neck, near the tip. But tell me please have you had problems about HISSystem with spare key? That HISS is kinda have some sensor
Yes, spare key won't start the engine. Has a sensor inside. You need to buy new keys at dealer and they have special machine to set them up. Good luck!
@@d.i.y.davejapan I'll try to hook up the old key knob with chip...onto key eing of new (copy) key. It's rfid and when you take it close enough to key slot, hopefully it will work. Much much cheaper option.
With the original key damaged, how did they redo the coding for the new key?I lost my original key and honda wants to charge me to replace the whole ignition and ECU which to me seems unnecessary and costs an arm and a leg?
In my case I needed a new ignition so the dealer took care of the coding and ECU, and yes, it was expensive. There are some videos on You tube about how to recode your keys by yourself. Good luck!
@@awacruizer finally with my brother tonight have managed to remove the starter kit. the top part can be removed after removing 2 screws we were able to remove the end of the key !! a happier end haha
@@awacruizer yes , if you still have the old switch. at 8mins 43 you see the star screw, remove them from both sides and you will have access to your key and have a spear kit in case! Then according to me you will be able to remove the broken key !. Good road :)
I bought mine on Amazon for 22 bucks was at my house in 3days.
The dealerships are crazy overpricing parts!!!!

Try to attach old key to the new replicated one. It's RFID chip so it will recognize from close proximity
How did you get the ignition switch out? I've taken the whole damn thing apart and I can't get the bolts loose
Hi Hysteria357,
Sorry, I took it to the dealer and just let them do it.
Good luck bro!
Call a Locksmith. Don't mess with it. You can make job worse.

WTF was the point of this video if you were not showing how to "actually" get the key out? 🤬
