Setouchi Shimanami Kaido is a 76 km, 8/10 hour cycling tour that connects the towns of Imabari, Ehime prefecture and Onomichi, Hiroshima prefecture. Alongside the highway is a cycling route that offers spectacular views of the Seto inland sea. This is the first stage of our tour from the starting point at Imabari station to the first bridge, Kurushima-Kaikyo bridge.

    Great job. This stressed me out big time. My license here in Japan is up to 750cc but I'll be purchasing a 250. lol UPDATE: Bought a 400 and did Shaken myself. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. Just time consuming and nerve racking. Mine was more expensive than yours but not by much (13,700 yen).

    Which month was it? Looks a bit cold for swim. How do you think about bicycle ride from Tokushima city? Would it be safe? Lots of ups and downs? Or, flat? thx

      I think this was early spring, so yes, it's a bit cold for a swim. This is actually a nice ride from Tokushima city and it's safe. There is a big hill to get to the beach so be prepared but it's not that long. You could easly walk your bike up it. You aren't allowed to swim here but in the summer people cool off with a quick dip. Have fun!

    Hiking boods or working boots don't cut it as motorcycle boots. Proper riding boots have mor eprotection and it will stop your foot from being crushed by your motorcycle. And it do work, I've been there.

    Thanks for the information! I have same pair Timberland like you, only mine have Red Collar. I want to use for ride my Kawasaki KLX 150. But, I want to ask, is Heat from the Engine can damage your boots? Or you have problem with sole glue, or the leather is burning? Thanks!

      No problem on my Honda NC 700x. It's liquid cooled so not much heat from engine. Good luck.

    3:05 Anything is better than Crocs, that's for sure! Timberland boots are not the same as riding boots though. They aren't as abrasion resistant and they don't have the same ankle support as proper riding boots.

    I used a dewalt reciprocating wood blade that has an anchor type tooth on the tip. Use the tip to go inside beside the key. Get a good bite and had to jerk out pretty hard but worked. Use gloves to get good leverage.

    My key broke the same way. They have such a tiny neck, near the tip. But tell me please have you had problems about HISSystem with spare key? That HISS is kinda have some sensor

      Yes, spare key won't start the engine. Has a sensor inside. You need to buy new keys at dealer and they have special machine to set them up. Good luck!

      @@d.i.y.davejapan I'll try to hook up the old key knob with chip...onto key eing of new (copy) key. It's rfid and when you take it close enough to key slot, hopefully it will work. Much much cheaper option.

    I really love how the Japanese women dress. Soft and feminine fashion. Loose and flowy clothing. I'm so tired of seeing tight clothes, cleavage, and leggings that leave NOTHING to the imagination everywhere I go here in the States. So many of the men dress just as badly. Sagging pants showing underwear left and right. I'm ready to live somewhere where this trend isn't everywhere I look.🙈
