I can see inflammatory foods being a trigger for some, but there are so many different things that trigger asthma, its irresponsible to act like one thing will fix it for everyone
as someone who DOES have asthma, unless this guy has a specific food allergy or intolerance, food typically doesn't really have much of an impact on asthma to make it "worse" in the way jacob described. assuming he's telling the truth about having asthma and all that, he could have just gone to a doctor to find out if he had a food allergy or intolerance to a specific preservative or ingredient in what he was eating. if he made a business around that ("i have this specific allergy/intolerance so i made this protein bar that i can safely eat without concern for my health"), i think his protein bar could have been a hit in a niche market with proper product testing/reviews from within that market.

He could use molasses instead of straight cane sugar, it's a little less harmful, and a little more nutritious than cane sugar. Molasses is actually a by-product of the sugar cane. peanutbutter oatmeal bars with protein powder and cranberries. amazingly easy bars to make at home, tastes like picnic. Feel full, energized, and light afterwards.
Yeah people can make any kind of healthy snack bars at home. Extremely easily. I make my own "bunches of oats" cereal. It's like 3-5 ingredients depending on what you want, you pop it in an oven, take it out and put it in a container.
For 5 dollars I could get a piece of chicken breast that will give me 40 g protein or more. Simple ingredients: chicken. If you have a BJ's or Costco membership, for 4.79 you can get a whole roasted chicken which yields over 100 g protein OR a box of 4 roasted chicken thighs that yield about 45 G of protein PER thigh.

There’s a great number of people saying food doesn’t trigger asthma. And they’re right btw lol excess weight could cause more severe asthma, sure. But as far as a specific food giving you asthma or triggering an asthma attack that’s simply a fallacy.
Where I live, a lot of the "organic" local produce is only organic because the growers are too cheap to buy pesticides and herbicides. So they're spending less to grow a product they charge more for.
Organic just means for the soil and nutrients used to grow. Growers still use sprays for insects as long as its not during fruiting youre ok. I still use neem oil and other things like soap, alcohol or seasame oil for insect deterrants and tomatoes you sometimes battle horn worms so requires stronger stuff. Most can be applied during vegetation and last until harvest. Your best bet is to grow your own if you want to save money nowadays.

very valid criticism "premium product" is just a markiting term used to try to get more money out of people most of the time, it really shouldnt be $5 a bar and taste does matter, its a food product if it tastes bad then its probably a bad product. while i can commend jacob for putting in the work to do something like this he does have to accept criticism especially when he himself sent it to a reviewer "my bar is meant for those that want natural clean ingredients....but only for those that can afford $5 a bar and dont mind eating stuff that may taste bad" bro doesnt really have much of a market if thats what he is going for and should not be surprised when people dont like it
As someone who has had asthma my whole life (I’m 25), you can’t get rid of asthma or have it just “go away”. It will always be there, and the best you can get is it becoming mild and not needing an inhaler. He can’t claim that food fixed it when literally exercising and running can do the same thing
If you want a serious answer: you can’t guarantee it unless the whole system is enclosed within a sealed biodome. HOWEVER, if your beehives are strategically placed central to several fields of organic flowering plants like canola or lavender, you can reasonably assume that the vast majority of of the nectar used by the bees to make honey is coming from those organic sources as 75% of bees forage less than 1km from the hive. Is it 100% accurate? No. But what is?
Have you ever seen actual farmland? There's literally only one thing growing for hours of driving in a lot of it. It's pretty easily done if the one thing happens to be organic

I miss when KitKat bars were wrapped in foil, instead of the current plastic wrapping. 😔 The foil-wrapped chocolate tasted SOOOOOOOOOO much better! 🍫🍫🍫
I mean, most “milk chocolate” found in candy bars, especially those found in anything made by the Mars candy company, can’t be considered actual chocolate in other countries. For instance, in the UK and most other countries, Hershey bars are taxed as chocolate flavored candy due to their extremely low chocolate content. The same goes for the “chocolate” found on the outside of candy bars like KitKats. It’s mostly comprised of cocoa butter, so it makes sense you described it was waxy.

I have asthma since birth, you can not just make it go away from eating better. Sure, there's different levels of intensity but it will never go away, it's just manageable.
For most people, that's true. However, it's also entirely plausible that for some, significant improvements to diet and lifestyle could manifest in significantly reduced asthma occurrence or severity to the point that it's effectively "gone," at least for some time. This is especially true if your asthma is exacerbated by comorbidities that themselves can be managed or exacerbated by diet.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for mainly protein and somethings that’s clean at the same time, it’s not gonna taste the best. Even with protein powders for shakes, the cleaner it is, the less sweet it is. I think it just depends on what you want 🤷🏻♀️

as someone who DOES have asthma, unless this guy has a specific food allergy or intolerance, food typically doesn't really have much of an impact on asthma to make it "worse" in the way jacob described. assuming he's telling the truth about having asthma and all that, he could have just gone to a doctor to find out if he had a food allergy or intolerance to a specific preservative or ingredient in what he was eating. if he made a business around that ("i have this specific allergy/intolerance so i made this protein bar that i can safely eat without concern for my health"), i think his protein bar could have been a hit in a niche market with proper product testing/reviews from within that market.
Yeah, I have Asthma, it's mostly exercise induced, but I used a puffer/inhaler daily until my 20s. My symptoms decreased in adulthood, I only really remember I have it when I'm swimming. Besides maybe spicy food (I personally have a high tolerance for) I don't think there's any food that directly exacerbates your symptoms, either acutely or chronically. It's dishonest marketing

peanutbutter oatmeal bars with protein powder and cranberries. amazingly easy bars to make at home, tastes like picnic. Feel full, energized, and light afterwards.
Yeah people can make any kind of healthy snack bars at home. Extremely easily. I make my own "bunches of oats" cereal. It's like 3-5 ingredients depending on what you want, you pop it in an oven, take it out and put it in a container.
Sounds great minus the cranberries lol

For 5 dollars I could get a piece of chicken breast that will give me 40 g protein or more. Simple ingredients: chicken. If you have a BJ's or Costco membership, for 4.79 you can get a whole roasted chicken which yields over 100 g protein OR a box of 4 roasted chicken thighs that yield about 45 G of protein PER thigh.

I think these two terms get conflated all the time. Probably because medicine doesn't really know where one starts and the other begins. Organic Honey?🤨 How? Special bees that know which flowers to pollinate? Doubtful dude.
Bee keepers normally plant for their hives so they don't need to travel far.

The foil-wrapped chocolate tasted SOOOOOOOOOO much better!
