    I remember working at Subway when his crimes started coming to light. One night, corporate ordered every single piece of advertisement that had his face or name on it to get torn down and thrown out before the media got ahold of the story. They wanted to cut ties IMMEDIATELY. They refused to tell us what ws going on, because they didn't want us telling the customers.
    It was a crazy time

      That’s crazy haha. But at the time when corporate told you get rid of anything with Jared’s face or name on it, you didn’t know the reason why? You all didn’t know the story?

      @tomboyraider1015 Nope. It was before it was made public, and Subway was being very hush hush.
      We also weren't allowed to take any of it home, and had to mark everything with a big X in permanent marker.

      @Cutest-Bunny998 7 місяців тому +51

      Well at one point he had a fellow prisoner file a motion to file an amicus brief... in a trial court?!
      And he claimed that he was a sovereign that the District Court lacked subject-matter jurisdiction over (which is backwards because the court exercises jurisdiciton of a topic, ie subject matter and separately exercises personal jurisdiction on a specific person, which Jared never contested...)
      This is literally an argument that that Congress did not intend this Court to be able to apply that law upon me in this venue. It's nonsense and it's never worked. Subject matter jurisdiction can properly be challenged, and must be present for any adjudication at all, but the Court doesn't lose subject-matter jurisdiction no matter who the person before the Court.
      Worse, he tried to bring his jurisdictional claim via improper criminal procedure, as he argued clear error which is subject to some judicial discretion, and not that the proceedings and collateral holdings were void ab initio, so even if his argument made sense (it did not), it was still wrong for procedural reasons.

    isn't the real story that Jared stalked a girl who worked at Subway, so that's why he went there so often. The girl became so concerned that she transferred stores miles away, and Jared, not to be deterred from a tasty treat, walked miles every day to the further location to continue stalking her. The exercise from the walking and I guess sandwiches led to his weight loss.

    Jared went to my middle school when I was in 7th grade. I remember him giving us a speech about healthy eating. Back then, it was so cool seeing him. Strangely enough, one of my female classmates randomly disappeared off the face of the earth and never reappeared back in my town until long after we graduated. She has a kid now whose 13 years old.... I never knew why she disappeared at the time, but when it became a huge thing that Jared was doing this stuff with kids, it became a strange coincidence why that girl disappeared from our class forever without any mention of her leaving.

    As someone who’s lost 100lbs and is also in school to be a dietician, the most important thing for weight loss is CICO (calories in-calories out). No matter what you’re doing, it’s a balance of energy. Of course nutrients and everything are important for your health, but if your only goal is weight loss, you could eat nothing but twinkies and still lose weight as long as you’re not eating over your daily calorie limit. Since I’m disabled, I didn’t even exercise, just ate better and was careful of my caloric intake. It took longer for me because of that, but I still did lose the weight and have kept it off.

    Knowing how to sew, part of the cost of making clothes is labor. Making big pants is easier than smaller pants because big pants don't require extra attention to making sure it fits the body right to show off the shape. The big pants can be sewn with a straight line to connect the material together which is super easy to do on a sewing machine. It takes way more time to sew clothes to fit to the body so that the cost of time supercedes the cost of material. I'm not sure if your question was rhetorical, however I answer those as well.

He was able to get 4 subs with chips and drinks and not break a 20. You still leave the change in the tip jar at Subway. A $20 bill used to fee a family of 4. Now, it only feeds a family of one

    I got a photo with this monster after walking in the Tampa Bay Heart Walk many years ago because Subway was a sponsor. He seemed SO uninterested and it was a chore for him to even stand there for photos. I was a big guy, still am, and I was actually excited to meet him briefly. He turned what could have been a great experience for me into something I looked back on with disappointment. Then when the news came out I was disgusted to have even had the picture taken. What a stain of a human being.
