It is crazy to think that most people in the world don't even know Starship is a thing... many don't even know about Falcon 9 and the fact that SpaceX is 90% of the space industry... I was even speaking to people the other day that have no idea about the artemis program. Many in the world will be astounded when we return to the moon and potentially Mars this decade and if not then 100% next decade. I am optimistic for this decade though 🙌
I live in Czech Republic and nobody around me knows about any SpaceX activity. Even my wife don't understand my excitement. The problem is that news are full of immigration, Ukraine and Izrael. And people are in constant depression. So sad.
@gxlxn yeah. Globally, the main stream news is just full of propaganda and depressing information. Many will be surprised when in the not too distant future we are heading to the moon/mars
When I was a kid, I was reading in 1990 that by 1996 NASA would send the first manned mission to Mars. At the time '96 came and went I was disappointed. In recent years, it's basically a relief on the would-be astronaut's part that we haven't tried to send anyone there yet. Supposedly Kubrick's message in _2001: A Space Odyssey_ is that humans don't belong in space. Whether or not Kubrick shared that sentiment, I tend to agree with it.

While they caught the booster, we are a ways away from "going to mars" They are still testing ships and boosters, if something is going to mars it wont be for a while, or they might let it slam into the ground of mars. Without refueling it's not happening. At least you didn't do what too many others are doing and simply reposting the footage from SpaceX, and using your own footage, so there's that at least.
Mars, unfortunally, is another sport, another level, probably we need over 20 or 30 years before to send humans to Mars. No Van Hallen zone, too much radioactivity, too much time.. too much money.. .Maybe future DNA changed men will go to Mars. But for Moon I think 6/10 years and GO to back with Starship!
One of the most overrated events in human history. Apollo 11 engineers landed actual humans on the moon, rendezvoused with an orbiting spacecraft, then brought them all back to Earth using technology that is 50 years older than what SpaceX is using, yet people are losing their minds because SpaceX launched and landed a big rocket. Something that easily could have been done decades ago but wasn't necessary until nut-job Elon decided he wants to colonize Mars (which will never happen). I guess people need something to be excited about. Reminds me of the fans who stand for the last shot in game 32 of the NBA season. Completely meaningless game but people still act like it's important. Really shows how empty most people's lives are.
This is all a very impressive, but ultimately an expensive, pointless means of sending humans on voluntary banishment to a dead-end hellscape, whether or not they survive and return to Earth in the end.
