step1: get a good car. step2: wash it with acid to make it rusty. step3: put some dirt, break the windscreens to make it looks like an abandoned car. step4: make a video!

The tires still had air after all those years so he could push it to his house? House was near as well, how convenient! Never seen that car there before ?
this video has a lot of tricks and personally I believe that another car is showed in the end..why we haven't seen the restoration of seats..windows or even lights..
@Christ est mon Sauveur Definitely something not right with the top end of the engine. I'd suspect a bad timing belt that may have jumped a tooth. From info I can find, the 2.0L I4 is an interference engine so those loud clanks every so often are likely the valves crashing into the piston crowns. That engine won't last long in that state. The bottom end sounds really good though, I don't hear any rod knock. Maybe he can pull the head and might get lucky and not have too much damage. Replace the timing belt and re-time the engine properly, maybe do the water pump depending on where it is. I've seen engines that swallowed their valves go on to live long lives after having the heads removed to replace the bent valves if the piston crowns aren't too badly damaged. The transmission is another story. With all of that gear slamming and high revving required to make the car move, something is seriously wrong there. It could possibly be a badly worn clutch, but with all of that clanking going on under the hood, I'd suspect some of that is coming from the transmission. Probably a good idea to drain the gear oil and check for glitter or chunks and refill it with clean stuff. Who knows when the last time that was changed.
@@nightizzat4574 on that old rusty shit, he should first of all have sand blasted or acid treated everything, then prepped with 180 + etch primer, then 2k high build before any filler work. Epoxy primer is great for new replacement panels that's never been rusty.
I wish I could find a sweet 5 speed 2nd gen Camry with it's 3S-FE engine and it's aftermarket Double Stereo Decks intact sitting in the jungle waiting for me to single handily push it around the corner back to my house garage...what a wonderous great Find 👍🚗🚗🚗👍
Thank you for this restoration. The toyota camry is one of the best cars ever built. Toyota started building this dependable car in 1983.

even if that were the case, didn’t you enjoy the video? Does it really matter?
Or just have 2 of the same car, one beat up one new and when you get far enough on the rusty one just transition to the new one lol
@Alaia because They hates Asians anyway. Especially Asian males .

Applying bondo directly to rust without sanding all the rust off first? What could possibly go wrong?
oh yes, it's how they do it here in Vietnam.. Paint jobs usually last for a year, tops.
