I repeatedly tell him I don't need help and when my cooldown timer goes up I head off to setup the mission. he. continues to bug me. he explicitly says he only wants to help because I'm female. I tell him I don't want help and I then head off. He starts to DM me asking for personal info like age. Two guys relentlessly harassed and trolled me on an online game for over a year trying to turn me into a lolcow. Their worst attempt was making accounts on the game with my mother’s name as the gamer tag and making comments about how horrible she was and how I was a terrible son. I’m glad that game eventually shut down because I haven’t been bothered by them since.
I had a guy do the I'm lonely card but I am socially awkward and empathy problems so I just kept giving him a pep talk to get out there and try with other girls. an hour later I understood that he was trying to guilt me into a relationship

I was playing fallout 76, and at some point I realized that someone had popped a stealth boy (makes you invisible) and was following me around. Every few steps I took, I would hear more behind me. I said screw this and just fast traveled back to my camp. After a few minutes I was tending to my crops, and as I hovered over one of my Tato plants, his fucking username popped up. He had followed me to my camp and was hiding in my crops.
I sometimes pretend to be male and play male characters to avoid the sexist judgment. Once a guy sexually harassed me on WhatsApp and regular messaging. I tried to dismiss him politely. I tried to ignore his messages and calls. Eventually, I had to block him because he was so persistent.
The time I was playing among us and some guy joined the lobby with the mini crewmate pet, the mini crewmate hat, and the username "Peter File". And then apparently kept asking in ghost chat where the children were.
What is it with the OG starcraft weirdness, like I remember 3 separate occasions when I used to play as a kid, like 9-12, I never talked much and especially never shared my age. The one that stands out the most, my teammate started saying all this stuff about how he was going to figure out where I lived, find me and assault me. I explained to the other team what was going on and begged them to help because I was panicking and they taught me how to switch teams and we destroyed him together then they had me change my in game name. Creepy fuck gave me two of my closest online friends till this day almost 20 years later.
So this is the reverse for me. Background: in black dynamite some guy goes "Chauncey, how yo baby mama doin" and he replies "ninja I ain't Chauncey". Anyway so as a joke I'd sometimes go up to people I'm in online overwatch matches with and ask them the how their baby mama was doing. So one time someone actually did have a baby mama and said "how do you know that" knowing this was a platinum opportunity I said "I know all about you" and he left the game. I wonder if that dude ever wonders how I "knew"
This still scares me to this day. One day me,my cousin and my friend were in a party on Xbox and my friend said that he was going to invite one of his friends and we were ok with it so his friend joined and started acting very strange she said that she was going to kill herself we were shocked we said that wasn’t the way to go she said that she was still going to do it my cousin then asked my friend if she’s always acted suicidal and he replied no this went on for about 2 minutes then she started asking for our personal information we refused to give it to her she then said please give it to me so I don’t get in trouble I was uncomfortable so I left never heard from her again.
My ex would send death and r4pe threats to me whenever I blocked him, via my Xbox account that my little sister would use and she would see his messages blow up her screen while gaming. He knew she was using it too and would say very twisted stuff.
It's hard to talk about it, because a lot of it was my fault. There was this guy I'd been dealing with in a game who was kind of annoying. He'd follow me around and pretend he was a Team Rocket member. I went along with it for a while because it was just a game, and it was sort of fun to roleplay with him. Eventually, though, things changed. He started bringing up things I had said out of character. It started small. I wasn't too bothered by him calling me "Undertale trash," because I had just called myself that on the site in a public chat. But then, I made a horrible mistake. Some people were talking about a character from a TV show, and I chimed in with what I thought was a funny story from my childhood about that character. The problem was, the story was about how this character and I had the same name. That person saw what I said, and he took full advantage. He called me by name in a DM and started taunting me with it. I still remember what he said that day. "(Name), huh? Fortunately for you, I think that's a lovely name. Unfortunately for you, I won't be forgetting it anytime soon." I was terrified. My parents had told me that if someone online gets a little bit of information about you, they can use that to gather more, until they have a full profile. In my mind, that meant that now that he had my first name, he could track me down and do something horrible to me. For the next several months, I was a wreck. It was near impossible for me to relax, because I thought he would show up, and I'd have to defend myself. It was so bad, I'd go into a fighting stance at the mere mention of the word "rocket." I would try to play it off as a joke in front of my brother, because I didn't think he'd understand, but that was a mistake too. A few months after the incident, he told me that he saw someone in a Team Rocket face mask at Walmart. I'm not sure what to call what I felt in that moment. I think it was a mixture of anger and fear. No matter what you call it, the memory is still vivid, even all these years later. I could feel my body heating up, and my breathing got all heavy, and everything felt sort of hazy and distant. My parents were able to bring me back to reality, but I was so mad at my brother, especially because he thought my reaction was funny. I think Mom and Dad talked to him afterwards, but the damage was done. It was a real setback on my road to recovery. I'm doing much better now, but I no longer form any sort of bond with people online. Not after all that.
I play MMMORPGs and I never understood why some people think it’s ok to flirt with people online. Like, I have no idea who you are and you don’t know who I am. I’m just there to hang out and do story quests.
Yeah, I've been super lucky that this never happened to me. I played WoW for a bit when I was 16-20 and no one creepy ever contacted me. I just soloed all the time. Then again I didn't play too often because I couldn't afford the fees. Only creepy interactions I've had is random dudes DMing me on Instagram or Facebook. But I block them soon after. One guy who didn't even follow me asked me basic questions about my hobbies and even messaged me on Tumblr asking me to "beat him up." Claimed he was an undergrad from California. And he wanted to video call me at one point. For one thing, I hate talking on the phone and on video and secondly I don't live in the US, no way am I having some Internet stranger try and flirt with me at 4am or some crap. I blocked him immediately after, even after trying to be polite and brushing him off. And one time some guy who looked barely 16 managed to follow me from UA-cam to Instagram, liked a bunch of irl photos of me, asked me if he thought I was cute, then said he "could date older women." When I told him I was more comfortable dating people my own age and that I was asexual. So fricking weird. No idea why these guys think some random nerd woman would be into a stranger within ten mins of random bulls chatting.
23:43 i relate to this so much but i was a 9-10 y/o boy not a 18 y/o girl like everyone in game would think, at one point i just stopped giving callouts and turn my mic off completely
9:06 me, who only plays with male characters cuz they're h- ot and never opens the voice chat cuz I hate people: "I'm 4 parallel universes ahead of you"
The only game i play a female character in is titanfall 2 and people hardly get to see my character is female because its a movement shooter and im fast as fuck boi
I was playing with a kid I know in real life because he sent me an invite and he had been asking me to play for weeks so I finally felt bad and agreed. We were in voice chat but he was only saying generic stuff like "nice, got it, oh noooo" So I'm guessing his dad didn't realize he was on call. And definitely didn't know he was on call with me. I know his dad. I realized that his dad was either drunk or mental because he sounded weird and because he came up to him, and very loudly asked him "Did you eat yet?" , the kid said yes. He said , "... oh ok." Then came back several minutes later and said "Are you hungry?" The kid said no, he asked him if he ate, he said yes again. Maybe another 20 minutes go by and I hear his voice in the mic saying it's time to come eat because he made him food. The kid said he's in the middle of a game and not hungry. To which his dad flipped out and started screaming "why did you tell me to make you food then? I'm tired and busy and you told me you were hungry so I made it." and more yelling. The kid, clearly embarrassed, tried to do damage control, and maybe even cover the mic, judging from the noises, but in the end he just started crying as the console got grabbed out of his hands and then his character disconnected right in front of me and call ended. The next day he asked to play and he seemed really embarrassed and apologized for leaving mid game. He seemed to think that I will not want to play with him anymore because of that. I wanted play with other people but didn't have the heart to turn him down because he would think it's his fault. I ended up setting him up with my younger cousins and they hit it off and started playing together a lot and I got to play with people my age. Win win. I'm still a little scared his dad will find out I was on call with him though because he really cares about his image and builds him self up to people a lot. I already knew what he's like because of stories I've heard about him but that was my first time witnessing it live. I have been playing him by acting like I think he is a very cool, admirable person so I can manipulate him into doing things he would usually be an ahole about to his family and he always falls for it. He will flip out if he ever finds out I actually know the truth of what he's like.
Worst person I ever encountered online? Easy choice, it was not the creep exes, not the crazy erp people on kids site. It was the guy who made 400+ accounts to stalk people across multiple web sites.
I playing Onward and some guy was picking on some kid because he said he was bi and the kid sounded like 12 and i told him you dont have be a certain age to determine who you like and the guy started calling me a ped0.
I mean, when I was playing WoW and I found two. One was a man and a woman in a very openly abusive relationship, but the woman kept coming back to him because... y'know. Kinda the issue with that sort of relationship and then my most recent friend turns out was groomed when she was 17 by a 27 year old man and that lasted a year. Worst part is that upon further inquiry by me, he literally had all the red flags of a Discord pedophile / the " kitten daddy is getting angry " meme. He literally acted like the morons the meme is based on apparently.
@@Diamondr11Blue I should be able to play a game with our getting rape threats, or being called slut or whore. The fact that you think it’s normal for women to face sexism for simply playing a game and will do nothing to make a better environment is just disgusting.
When I used to play Runescape back in 2006 there was this girl I met while playing the game. We weren't super close or anything but she was always willing to buy any gems I got from me. So whenever I got gems I would message her and she would come and buy them. The one day I message her and she responds like she has no idea who I am and tells me to leave her alone and stop talking to her. Even had her boyfriend message me to tell me to leave her alone (blocked him). I still don't know what the hell happen as it was a huge shift in personality that came out of the blue.

I've been pretty lucky honestly. Worst thing that ever happened to me was I was sitting on the ground in WoW watching people PvP and waiting for a dungeon. This dude comes up and starts shoving their crotch into my face, my character is a Male Tauren so make of that what you will. I get up move over and they start doing it again. I just get on a mount and fly away.
Was playing a shooter game called Splitgate (think Halo but you portal/jet pack around). I accidentally clicked the hot key mid-game, which allows you to talk, and all these people find out I’m a chick. Not a big deal, right? Wrong. The entire enemy team was on my ass for the rest of the game. I died the most amount of times, and they refused to leave me alone or stop typing in the chat spam of the word “gamer slut” misspelt because they couldn’t actually type the word “slut” into the general chat. Thankfully, no one was using their vc’s. Was a really weird experience.
The thing about female avatars is absolutely an irritating thing I've dealt with I'm a woman who plays both avatar types, masculine and feminine, and whenever I play my feminine avatars or play female characters I get the flirting and shit Sometimes even on my male avatars because my gamertag has "miss" in it on most platforms (I made it ages ago to tie to my other social medias by the same name and before I realized the kind of environment female gamers often go through) Now I just don't care/interact or I fuck with them to get funny screencaps to laugh over with friends
Used to play roblox a lot, mostly role-playing games. The memory is super fuzzy now, but I remember one time when I was in an Invader Zim themed rp, someone was trying to get me to engage in sexual acts in character I think? I've never really had any encounters outside of this, at least none that directly involved me. But I know some weird shit happens in that Invader Zim game all the time. Haven't played in a while but I'm kinda considering going back to it now.
I had league open while chatting with my bf. Out of nowhere an adult male voice replied to what I was saying. We both froze and asked each other if the other heard that. We looked around. The voice started laughing loudly. We realized we left our party open to join and had voice chat still on. Our older friend joined lobby and decided to prank us.
One of my friends on Xbox announced to all of us that he was Infertile (i was about 13/12 at the time) so one day we we're playing ROBLOX and his mic just suddenly cuts out, we never heard from him again and i left that friend group
One point I was playing Eve Online and a dude from our group who was at war with another group, was sending rather explicit porn images in local chat, and after being asked by the Fleet Commander multiple times and having several under 18 individuals on our own team, as well as the enemy team asking for it to be stopped, I finally had enough and made a complaint to the in game moderators in another chat, and request a resolution. Needless to say he got the ban hammer rather quickly, and we may have lost that battle but at least got respected by my other team mates and enemies for standing up for the younger folks.
If it’s online. It’s easier to be a male character has a female. But I can easily just never say a thing till I know everyone is cool. Of course it’s not fool proof. Because sometimes playing perfectly and having fun for four rounds it can flip when one of the “cool” guys is actually the opposite and was just the type to beg for my Instagram (I didn’t have one yet.) or starts to bring the fart or movie jokes into sex jokes where lrt no one or all of them join in. It can be a bummer. Had a few games where the cool guys kick the asshat out of the party. Those were cool but usually I would try to casually end it by embarrassing them but we would one by one leave anyway.
Back in the olden days of COD Blackops original flavor, I would have guys harass me on mic during multiplayer games, threaten to rape me, etc. One time someone on my own team followed me around in-game just knifing me over and over, the entire game. Then he messaged me with a rape threat and said that’s what he was doing with the knife. Being a female in online games these days is a much better experience, but I still get crap like that every so often. Not fun.
Someone on TF2 during a pub match sent me a friend request, saw that I live in Colorado. Proceeds to offer me to go to a business address and “hurt his little brother” because he has autism. Fucking awful world sometimes.
The comment about wow players simping over female character models and assuming it's a female behind the character avatar made me laugh. As a longtime wow player I can honestly say that it's very accurate, it's always a big deal of there is a girl playing even still to this day. I met a girl in the library my freshman year of college and we got in a huge Convo about playing wow back in like 2007 as we were both noobs. Another funny moment while playing now was when I was leveling my paladin and doing my lvl 30 ish class weapon quest way back in the day. I also met another pally on the same quest that happened to be an actual female and my real life gf got kinda jelly when she found out I was helping this girl on the same quest. My gf didn't get crazy jealous more like cute jealous without any real bad behavior or any screaming or crying. It was actually really adorable. Women are a trip. 😂
For me, a person who wouldn’t stop making anime sex noises on mic at full volume… . Oh and also someone harassing me for just having fun in an online match… . That’s all
When COD mobile was launched, I played using my Facebook account as my login, which has my face on it (That's what I used because I play with my coworkers, it's just easier to find each other). I'm a boy but has a quite feminine face that would sometimes pass as a girl, and the amount of guys that would hit on me there, though. They'd be in the messages or litterally gifting me all the time. At first, it was flattering, but sometimes someone will confess their undying love to you then have have their wife and family in their profile pics. Just absurd ma bro 🙃 I didn't came here to find love, I'm just here to spend my cigarette break time 🙃
I invited an sayu main into my world and they played the among us sussy song 😔 /j (This actually happened though like five minutes ago, getting avenge with Christmas music)
I met this guy on Snowrunner yesterday. I'm 19 and a male mind you!. He claimed to be my friend from Florida. Now, note that I don't really know anyone from Florida. I know a UA-camr that lives in Florida and reviews Train Simulator dlcs and 3rd Party Train Simulator locos, rollingstock, etcetera and I watch his videos whenever he uploads any because I'm a Train Simulator addict. So I asked him what was my "friends" first AND last name? IF you gave me a first and last name, you already got it wrong. Again, I don't know ANYONE personally from Florida. I only know a UA-camr lives in Florida and I don't even know his name as he never says his actual name in his UA-cam videos, which in my opinion, is a smart move for any UA-camr so no one finds out who they are. Anyway, he gave me a name, the most ridiculously bullshit name I've ever heard. Kelly Anderson. Yes, I shit you not, he fucking said "Kelly Anderson." At this point, I was struggling to keep a straight face and I'm not sure if he even heard me chuckling. I told him I don't even know anyone named Kelly Anderson. Also, I've never been to Florida. I've been a Connecticut kid my whole life. I've been to Mass a couple of times though. He ended up trying to Belittle me and tell me that I have NO idea what I'm talking about, even though I CLEARLY KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! I try to tell him that he may have mistaken me for someone else, but the fucker isn't having it whatsoever. He insists that we've been "best buddies for 10 years". Sir, I don't even know you. I've only met you a few minutes ago and with the way you're talking to me, I wouldn't _want_ to know you. I'm trying to make some friends online, not make enemies or argue about whether or not I know you. I don't even know what you look like, where you're from, or what you even do for a living. My grandmother doesn't even know you and neither does my brother. He STILL insists he's my friend from Florida after I've told him about 100 times that I don't know him. This goes on for an hour and I just decide to play Snowrunner solo. I've never heard from him since. This is why I want Snowrunner to be split-screen and mainly why I prefer to play single player/split screen.
i was a minecraft server admin, not the owner (for anyone wondering how i could use the console we had a custom webhook where i could see and interact with the console), and i was doing my duties, moderating stuff, clearing up a recent grief with one of my buddies, when the head admin joined at a time they are not on normally, i checked the web console, and i saw a different ip, so i assumed they were hacked. they were head admin so i couldnt temporarily demote them to prevent them griefing, they griefed a couple of things, and then messaged a couple of threats in chat, but the very next day, they said it was a joke, like how did they pull off such a stunt, changing ip, staying up late, just for a fkin joke
Okay so I was playing among Us and I was imposter and people were saying that I was imposter and I said that I wasn't and then this guy says (pretty sure he was black) come on we can see your screen

Gonna not go into fine details but it was in TF2 with a neonazi who was talking about eugenics and apparently because I main pyro I must agree with his views just WTF he was kicked from server but tried to contact me via steam pms and got explicit in those I made fun of the asshole saying that I'm the descendant of a holocaust survivor so picked the wrong girl (true) and blocked his ass and reported him to valve (I checked a few days later and the account was banned) long since forgot the screen name but I weirdly remember that their avatar was a miniature Doberman in Nazi uniform Thinking about it not sure if it was a actual one or some idiot kid trying to be "edgy" but still just WTF ... Had a lot of sexual stalkers too but they are not super creepy usually more just annoying the most I've gotten was on the MMO MapleStory (once had like 5 guys following me and had to switch to a male character to play in peace) they usually come off as more sad than anything but I tend to avoid multiplayer games these days anyway

So one time someone actually did have a baby mama and said "how do you know that" knowing this was a platinum opportunity I said "I know all about you" and he left the game. I wonder if that dude ever wonders how I "knew"
There should be a 'report player' feature on these games
This video: has this title
Every female gamer: 🤣 You got a week to listen?
13:00 i was the host of that lobby lol
Unfortunately for you, I won't be forgetting it anytime soon."
I was terrified.
I had a guy find my name and hometown in overwatch while also threatening to kill me because my friend wasn't playing good and I was duod with him.
2:34 after not playing that for a while that just gave me a rush of nostalgia
That last kid probably was too scared to sleep that night.
I sure as hell wouldn’t.
Worst person I ever encountered online? Easy choice, it was not the creep exes, not the crazy erp people on kids site. It was the guy who made 400+ accounts to stalk people across multiple web sites.
4:01 has me cackling!!! Crying!!! Laughing!!
“A Creeeeeup “
“You sound so mature for your age!”………………I don’t wanna talk about it the rest of the way.
It's November 20th... That one about the world ending on Nov 27th caught me off guard.
@15:30 is why I don’t talk while playing games. Being a female gamer is hard.

I should be able to play a game with our getting rape threats, or being called slut or whore.
2:30 as a siege player, can confirm this is what typically happens if there is a female in the lobby.
Bruh how down bad these guys gotta be lol

The thing about female avatars is absolutely an irritating thing I've dealt with
I'm a woman who plays both avatar types, masculine and feminine, and whenever I play my feminine avatars or play female characters I get the flirting and shit
Sometimes even on my male avatars because my gamertag has "miss" in it on most platforms (I made it ages ago to tie to my other social medias by the same name and before I realized the kind of environment female gamers often go through)
Now I just don't care/interact or I fuck with them to get funny screencaps to laugh over with friends
Yea putting a mrs or ms in any gamertag is a big no no. I found it is best to stay with gender neutral names
26:36 I have also heard that deep Webb story, pretty chilling. The guy orders drugs from his friend but it turns out to be his bones…
I drunk ordered a guy a pizza once on fh4 I wonder what the odds are that was him
as far as the girl with the mic and the cape (ifykyk) thing,… that is definitely a r6 seige thing, i’ve experienced it

Oh yes, that popular fish-related video game, cod.
Try to stick to the new voice chat if you can, you might meet some creeps but trust me there will be a loooot of people to back you up
Played a female panda in wow as well, ga'damn there are some lonely people out there
I had league open while chatting with my bf. Out of nowhere an adult male voice replied to what I was saying. We both froze and asked each other if the other heard that. We looked around. The voice started laughing loudly. We realized we left our party open to join and had voice chat still on. Our older friend joined lobby and decided to prank us.
One of my friends on Xbox announced to all of us that he was Infertile (i was about 13/12 at the time)
so one day we we're playing ROBLOX and his mic just suddenly cuts out, we never heard from him again and i left that friend group
Who else is listening to this on November 27th? I’m freaking out. 😅
This was only uploaded a month ago so this is the first November 27th since this video’s release. How creepy.
This is... not what I was expecting...
Not fun.
And this is why I don't play online at any measure, too many weirdos out there smdh 😳😳
Can't wait for November 27th
Even the discord mod looks scared
Lmao Watching the Nov 27 one Freaked me out cuz I checked the date on my Phone and Its exactly Nov27.......
Just absurd ma bro 🙃 I didn't came here to find love, I'm just here to spend my cigarette break time 🙃
This is why i do not play games online

OH NO its just 8 days omg im scared 😂😂
I'm not scared of anyone with my ip or info as I own weapons and can box and wrestle
I was excited to see eso on here
i was a minecraft server admin, not the owner (for anyone wondering how i could use the console we had a custom webhook where i could see and interact with the console), and i was doing my duties, moderating stuff, clearing up a recent grief with one of my buddies, when the head admin joined at a time they are not on normally, i checked the web console, and i saw a different ip, so i assumed they were hacked. they were head admin so i couldnt temporarily demote them to prevent them griefing, they griefed a couple of things, and then messaged a couple of threats in chat, but the very next day, they said it was a joke, like how did they pull off such a stunt, changing ip, staying up late, just for a fkin joke
They got the no life syndrome
Okay so I was playing among Us and I was imposter and people were saying that I was imposter and I said that I wasn't and then this guy says (pretty sure he was black) come on we can see your screen
Literally finds your Id IP address phone number everything
The r@p3 one wasnt even creepy or anything its definitely a case of that guy having no social skills irl and no limit over a mic
Good thing that I don't game online
4 years ago i was playing minecraft cops vs. Robbers and a guy in an all black skin threatened to bomb me and my fam
this makes me want to buy a couple guns
Till this day some random guy messaged me on playstion he not rude or anything but he refers to me as senpai once I got weirded out by it I blocked him just for him to message me on another account asking if I missed him senpai

Gonna not go into fine details but it was in TF2 with a neonazi who was talking about eugenics and apparently because I main pyro I must agree with his views just WTF he was kicked from server but tried to contact me via steam pms and got explicit in those I made fun of the asshole saying that I'm the descendant of a holocaust survivor so picked the wrong girl (true) and blocked his ass and reported him to valve (I checked a few days later and the account was banned) long since forgot the screen name but I weirdly remember that their avatar was a miniature Doberman in Nazi uniform
Thinking about it not sure if it was a actual one or some idiot kid trying to be "edgy" but still just WTF
All I gotta say is, poor female gamers
