@msmissy6888 I said trainer, singular, (the fellow with the target stick and treats, who also designed the box to allow the exam) who also performs other duties at the sanctuary. Then I added “team,” which allowed for everyone else. Please try to read more carefully before you go off on others in the comments.

The training and the enclosure design to have the checkup without darting her is impressive.

Wonderful! The keepers at the Big Cat Sanctuary are as impressive and wonderful as the cats they care for. I saw Simon run a training session with Yarko at one of the recent Open Days. It was a real pleasure to see.

Really happy to see genuine, caring Cat People at the sanctuary. That way we all know that these beautiful cats (and all cats are beautiful) are taken care of in the ways they want and need, and that there is NO exploitation taking place that harms the critters.

That cat is amazing! They are doing everything that most cats hate, but this kitty must REALLY like her caretakers.

Thank you BCS! However, please reduce, or even remove, the background music. I can barely hear what is being said. It's especially hard for people who English is not their mother tongue.

Please no music. It detracts from learning about the superb great cats that are being cared for.

What a well behaved girl Laila is ❤😸 wonderful work by the team... But I agree with others, ditch the irritating background music. Not necessary at all

So are the babies sold to zoos or are they eventually released back into the wild?

Thank you, but please reconsider the need for music at all or at least the use of a less obtrusive tune and level so as not to distract from otherwise excellent videos and important content.

the music completely ruins what is otherwise a gorgeous video! it doesn't need it

  • @brendatenorio5721

Great stuff but music does ruin piece, its distracting, not complementary. This crew needs to seek help from someone who knows music and can select better music for all their pieces.

You can say "cubs" as many times as wikipedia demands, but they are big CATs, so they have kittens... just very BIG kittens! :D ❤ "cubs" always makes me think of wolves and bears rather than cats. (regardless of the size of the cat)
Seriously though, that has implications in big cat rescue and conservation, as words have power. People are less likely to donate, or even click videos of "cubs" doing anything. Calling them kittens makes them sound like adorable big fluffballs, to be both respected AND adored.
Given the power of words, and thinking of cheetahs unique natures as sweet scaredy cats, even if the term was only switched to kittens for one species, it should be cheetahs. "Kittens" would give people a better idea of what to expect in behaviour from them, and build anticipation for getting to see the baby fluff-angels before they learn dignity... or how to be graceful and acrobatic. :P ❤
Also, while it probably wouldnt make a huge impact having the big cats referred to and subsequently thought of as the literal by-word for cuteness, kittens, some hunters might feel enough guilt to stop them from doing more than defending themselves, not seeking to harm the cat.
Poachers on the other hand... or worse, trophy hunters... theres no stopping those people with guilt or kindness, only legal force.
Still, it might help, even if only a bit? Probably a ridiculous idea, or one thats just not achievable, but i thought i might put it out there in case it sparks any actually feasible idea in someone else that would help with conservation and breeding programs.
    ----------------------------
Sorry, you guys are the experts, it just seems logical and if theres any chance to help big cats, it doesnt hurt to mention the idea. Please feel free to ignore me, if anyone sees it to begin with
