Thanks to everyone who takes care of these majestic animals!! The cats are all beautiful but my favorite is the 🦁....Again sending you all much appreciation for looking after them.
Ahh I came here a bit over a year ago and saw Willow when she was a tiny little cub! I could hear her purring even when I wasnt standing close. So cute to see her more grown up
Siddarth Shreedhar maybe people who thought they are giving the cat all the attention😐. There are othe r endangered species even more endangered than these cats. Like the Etheopina wolf,I can't beilive there are less than 500 of them maybe even less😞😞😞
This is my dream job, even though the feeding, cleaning, and poop scooping would suck, can you imagine bonding with these animals? lol But this place in particular totally needs bigger cages 🤔
If you are talking about the "inside" cages, those are usually just a desugnated part of large outdoor cages! They're there to separate the cat in a controlled environment for check ups, vet care, and the such :)
Atlist one of the very few zoos with normal size looking big cats ,majority look overfed with very little exercise,..welcome to Kenya to see most of this cats in their natural habitats
They really are God's amazing creatures and you are so blessed being able to spend so much time with them and take care of them every day. Ms cheetah really enjoys your company. God bless you and have a happy and blessed new years. Thank you for taking care of them so well
The keeper should have said that the cat he was petting was a cheetah. You would not believe how many people will call this a leopard -- AND vice versa!
it's true that aza and accreditations like that are ideal but there are a lot of excellent sanctuaries that aren't accredited because of costs, it's very expensive to get accredited through different organizations, so rather than that they sanctuaries will save their money and instead focus it into creating better environments and facilities for the animals. obviously a lot of unaccredited "zoos" and "sanctuaries" aren't up to any standards, but they're pretty way to spot. People should try to go to accredited zoos, but if a sanctuary has a good reputation and you can tell they treat the animals well, its good to go to them and donate to get them better facilities. obviously though just to be safe, you should go to accredited places, because most people don't know what standards they should be looking for when wanting to go to a zoo. This got rambly but the basic point is; accredited zoos are great but don't automatically call unaccredited places the devil, look into the place and be smart about it, cause it may be a shit-show but could also be a really great sanctuary that just doesn't have spare funds lying around
they're the same thing, it's just a different name for the same animal, like calling an "African wild dog" an "African painted wolf"- exact same species just with different names
Jaguars are South American big cats, and they’re smaller, stockier and their spots are bigger/thicker. Their jaws and heads are shaped differently to leopard to accommodate that powerful jaw and bite force. We saw perhaps a quick glimpse of a jaguar but those *were* leopards we saw.

Well they're still behave like cats just bigger
That is true, but they are harder to manage and could kill you if you did something out of ignorance. Please be careful.
@@morganmiller7428 honestly even house cats would do it if they were bigger, so yes, they technically do act like cats, just on a bigger scale
@@plague_doctor0237 If your house cat grew to that size I would not advise keeping it unless you have a handle on it.

This is not a GFAS (Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries) sanctuary. GFAS is the accrediting body of the best sanctuaries.
Exactly

Most accrediting agencies are about money. They could care less about standards and quality.
