Welcome back! The two things I can think of:
- Lomo 110 camera (and film?), possibly embargoed when you made this.
- I saw that at least one US supplier finally had XTOL powder back in stock, not sure if that is sign of things to come? (sorry, I forget who, I'm in the UK, it might have been First Photo Something?)
Yeah, I was aware of the 110 camera but from a source (Im not in the testers for Lomo products) but they usually release things on Wednesdays. I think the Kodak chemistry is slowly rolling out.

That Leicaflex has seen things and decided "nope, I'll just take a permanent nap instead"
It was a representation of my last few months, squished but still together.
Nico has sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by gum it's put them on the map!
Not sure I follow, but I do love my monorails.

Shortly after this video I saw everywhere videos about the Lomomatic 110 popping up in my stream. After watching some of these videos I wondered if this product of Lomography hasn't a lot of similarities with the pentax camera. Half frame 35 mm vss 110 mm film. Zone distant metering automatic exposure metering a glass lens, simple to use a price between 100 and 200 euros. I wondered if the Pentax will be much sheaper. So while everybody is hoping for the traditionial cameramakers for bringing out a film camera, Lomography does the job.
Yes! That little camera does look amazing, they did surprise me. Im tempted to buy one and check how they did it all.

as much as I like more options for high iso color negative film $16 is still a lot from a consumer standpoint. my local lab sells Fuji 400 triple packs for $16 or I can get vision3 500t for $5 a pop.
That is amazing, wish I could get film at that price point.

With Rollei we still have somewhere out there some film with their trademark or oldboys who remember it and might want to go and grab one - not me... I'm sticking to medium format only atm.
I loved Rollei and many of their cameras, its just a bit sad when we see Yashica, Polaroid, Rollei and others being used for cheap relabelled stuff. Polaroid thankfully got repurchased by the ones that make the film again.

Thanks!! Yes, as far as I know they will continue with the chemical production, not sure if all or part of their catalog. Paper in the other hand... no idea.

CineStill hasn’t removed rem jet for years, since they started doing 120. I think they have standard perforations now.

You said about the Rollei name not being the same as it was....hmmm....Polaroid name is linked to TV's, cameras, printers and other low end products and even Kodak has been stretched to some pretty terrible products...I even have Kodak AA batteries which last 30 seconds as they're so terrible. The Rollei brand will still appeal to many people
Yes! Its happening to multiple brands, look at Yashica... Its just a bit sad to develop a camera and then add a different brand to it as it has a bigger hook? But I could be wrong.
Aurora 800 doesn’t look like lomo and it pushes 1600 very well. It’s not porta 800 either. There are 2 reviews on YT that mention this. See:”Aurora 800 35mm Film | Flic Film's Low Light King”

Messiah, please help me. What is this 1600 iso film ‘Hands on film’ are selling. I bought a roll and haven’t shot it. It looks purple so has to be 500T remjet free IMO but why sell it as 1600? Maybe you know
From their instagram its lacking the layer to prevent halos, so some cinema stock. Most color negative film will be ok with underexposure, so if its 500T without remjet exposing at 1600 will be one stop under, so its okish to scan... thats my "educated" guess.

Pentax creating a crippled camera for a niche market of expensive film. Why do they always try to fail in the market in last decades?
I expect from Pentax the best they can, a manual focus slr, simple, robust, with a meter, build for a long life and k-mount. Or something very similar.

I guess it's a good thing that a new film camera is being developed. However none of the photographers in my group are even remotely interested in a half frame camera.

Perhaps Kodak has finally come to their senses re film prices?!! I doubt it, but I suppose anything is possible. Coming up on 20 years they have been teetering on the edge of the abyss and they STILL think they can get away with outrageous price gouging.
For many years sales of film lost them money, from watching what they are doing on the back end it feels the money is somewhat going to them increasing capacity and more film stocks. Film was expensive before and it is expensive now.
Kodak's price reduction on Tri-X isn't hard to understand. For years, Kodak has almost annually raised prices on its film stocks across the board. Excuses were offered, but the reality was that there has been no correlation between Kodak's cost of production and its retail pricing. Kodak has just been testing the will of its market to keep buying its films at ever higher prices until they hit the price ceiling, above which buyers will move to competing products. For Tri-X, this is particularly apparent, as their price for 100 foot bulk rolls, which ordinarily present a path to savings, are so high that it can be cheaper to buy the individual canister rolls instead. Kodak will never reveal, but I guess that Tri-X sales have dived over the last three years, with buyers moving to Ilford HP5, Kentmere 400 or Fomapan 400, all of which are credible alternatives to Tri-X and cheaper.
there's such a huge market for consumer b&w film but Kodak seems to be the only company that doesn't offer some kind of sub $8 b&w film. they've got options for sure they could re-release plus-x or verichrome pan

Pentax camera will be a garbage. Leica should develop an analog version of the Q - would be the spiritual successor to the Contax T3.
Different markets and different demographics, but a p&s from Leica would be fire.
Mint has established a firm lock on a reputation of grossly over-priced, poorly constructed cameras. There seems no information about their proposed Rollei 35AF. As a decades long user of various Rollei 35 models, the implication that there is room in the traditional camera shell to add an auto-focus, "AF", function is ridiculous. So, if this product ever actually appears, it will likely be a garden variety, plastic, point-n-shoot knock-off in form and size, branded "Rollei" much like hotels are branded "Trump".
