My wife hates UA-cam. But she said to tell you thank you for making such a quick to-the-point video without all the rambling and "blah blah blah". You made your points and ended the video. Well done.
Thank you very much. After reading many reviews and watching several videos here on the tube, I recently purchased a brand new Yaesu FT-60 here in Europe. It's a very nice piece of technology and feel excellent in the hand, solid and its weight gives the impression of a serious portable radio. I don't know what I'm doing yet and certainly do not possess a license, but step by step. Cheers and thanks again, your video here is resourceful.
I got my technician license over 30 years ago. It’s simple. All I did is study a book and took my test. I was 14. I’m sure it’s easier now. You probably can get all the material online and learn Morse code. I was 14 btw
Hi Paul and thank you for the information. I am getting my Technician ticket in a week and I just ordered a FT-60R yesterday. I have seen so many good reviews of this radio. The Diamond antenna seems to be a very good choice of antenna for this unit as well. I did buy a Baofeng BF-F9V2+ last year before I knew much at all about HTs at all so I guess I will be selling it now. Good advice here and thanks again.
Hello, quick question, I purchased my ft60r a couple of years ago. I'm wondering if it's possible to program a frequency with duplexing turned off or make it receive only. "PTT disabled" Thanks
Hmm. I would assume so. Take a look at page 28 in the Operating Manual link. www.yaesu.com/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&encProdID=6EC43B29CEF0EC2B4E19BB7371688B7F
