- When Madea, Americas favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into Aprils basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faithand even true love. This movie is great for anyone who has experienced any kind of abuse. I love Tyler Perry movies especially the classics. This movie helped me heal so much.

I've been depressed for a little bit. The other day I was watching I Can Do Bad All By Myself and I broke down crying and just prayed. Prayed for God to do something. I think He listened. I went to Bible study and for the first time in a while I feel happy. I almost forgotten the feeling.

I love this movie. It made me cry because of losing my parents. And living with an abusive man. I got away from him years ago. Living the life that I have just made me stronger woman.

"I Can Do Bad All By Myself". It was what I needed to watch today. Tyler Perry's films are good for the soul. I think the recent boyfriend I was with for more than a year really needs to watch Tyler Perry's films, especially this one - "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" & the "Why Did I Get Married" & "Why Did I Get Married Too?" films. These are the types of films where you think & do some soul searching & learn how to be more compassionate, empathetic, understanding, patient, kind, selfless, etc.

That bathtub scene has been lingering in my mind a lot lately; I even had a dream last night where I did something similar to that scene.
The bathtub scene was a pivotal moment for me too. April FINALLY stopped seeing Jennifer, Kwame, and Manny as her Sister's kids and saw them as her NIECE and NEPHEWS. 😀 She also saw Randy for the true creep he was, trying to rape a Teenaged girl! I am so glad April believed Jennifer and Sandino over Randy and April tried to kill Randy for trying to rape Jennifer! 🎉

I remember when this movie first premiered, I got in trouble at school the same night it premiered in my hometown my parents took my siblings to see it without me and that was my punishment. I cried the whole night because I really wanted to hear Gladys Knight Mary J Blige and Marvin Winans sing in the movie! 😂😂😂

My favorite Tyler Perry movie 😍
& pain from him leaving like that & not communicating - sometime after mid-February - Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married" aired on TBS along with "Why Did I Get Married Too". It's like God wanted me to watch those films when I was crying, feeling depressed, & really down. And these Tyler Perry films were like consoling therapeutic films with important messages. Even though it's Mother's Day today, I was feeling down somewhat & once again, TBS was airing another Tyler Perry film, (cont.)

Plot: April’s childhood.
My opinionated reasoning for the plot: Because there are some people who watched this film don’t know how April was raised, how she was taught with carelessness, where she grew up, and most of all, how she had no interest with kids.
I just wish I could find all the songs grin this movie. His movie songs touch my soul.
This was a good movie anyway outstanding before much from everybody from all the characters including the main villain.
Tell us about life struggle and child abuse that is not right I had been through that since my whole child of grown up but thank God that is now in a past and now I moved forward a life
But thank the Lord I got through it my mom got me out of that. Terrible nightmare I've been through with my birth dad I am happy I'm a free man. And I'm not very proud of it. At all it gives me nightmares but we have to go for those rough times I remember those days but we just don't give up because we have family who cares for us. That is very grateful. That's a passion of of love in friendship.
As long as we have each other we are together in in this and we learn from it that's the passion of the movie but forged a bond between these characters.
This movie actually stuck to my here since the day I saw it in theaters

TP needs to make a movie about something similar happening to a grown person. Older Sisters accusing youngest sister of wanting their men after she becomes a widow. Yet, she had absolutely no interest in their men. This story of my life is absolutely unreal to me and I still can't believe it. I would have died for both of my sisters, and nearly did for one. I do have a brother who is the oldest. That is another chapter in my story. So, I roam without my blood fam cause I can do better by myself. FYI: I am talking about a middle class family with same mom and dad, no alcoholism or drugs. Issues face all types of fams.
