just got mine for 36 yuan (5 dollars). It's much much cheaper here in China. For me it's just the perfect shoes for bodyweight exercises and calisthenics. Comfortable, lightweight, zero-drop, a lot better than most modern trainers too!
These definitely give on chuck vibes. But for 25 bucks , given the cons, they still seem like a huge value. To be able to get 5 pairs for the price of most other minimalist shoes... Insane.
excellent review my man! you talked about all the points I wanted to know about and touched all bases :) As a powerlifter I see the value of a 0mm drop, light cheap shoe that can be used for the three main lifts! Thanks for that Jake, keep up the great content!
I got a shoe wedge to help make em wider where I needed it & it really helped. I also had to go down a size instead of up like their website suggests so don't be afraid to ask for a return.
Whats your experience with the traction while bench pressing in these? I heard a handful of high level powerlifters that bench with their feet further out recommend these for that specific reason
Grip is okay. Could be better, honestly, and it really depends on which Fieyue model you go with. IMO, if you want these for benching due to outsole grip, look for the Chinese version - from what I understand, that will be your best bet!
Haha, no one wants to see me attempt any form of martial arts! I'm pretty sure I would tear a muscle trying. Similar in regard to their overall fit/vibe. You can tell the materials are not as quality though and the toe box feels a tiny bit more narrow.
There are three companies that make Feiyue shoes: 1. Shanghai Da Fu Rubber Company: Original license holder of Feiyue shoes with red dot logo on sole Model 511 2. Wen Da: Contractor for Da Fu Rubber to produce Feiyue shoes under license till 2005 normally sold under the names Top One with a green triangle logo on the sole Model 501 3. French Feiyue: Illegally bought Feiyue license from Wen Da without Da Fu Rubber's consent, legal proceedings still in progress after a decade. ua-cam.com/video/EslrDVTja48/v-deo.html
@@thatfitfriend The one with the red dot logo is the Da Fu one, the French Feiyue also use the red dot logo, but comes packaged in a nice shoe box ...yeah confusing I know ! ...LoL
I can't speak to that because I haven't tested them fully in that context. They should last a bit, though, based on their performance for lifting and cross-training. IMO, I'd check out some of the calisthenic-focused channels to see if anyone has covered these thoroughly for that use!

Right? Not bad construction and materials at all for the price!
Monks wear these for severe training very durable shoes the ones with the green diamond not the red are more durable
What’s even crazier is that I bought this from China for only 6 dollars and found out they charge other countries 25 dollars.😂😂😂

I use the green logo pair and if definitely feels SUPER low to the ground. Love them. Wore them through in 4 months though :(
Yeah, these puppies aren't meant to last forever, IMO. However, for their price...not too bad!
Did you have green triangle? And when they wore out did the toe box become wider or did your feet become narrow
here in China this model costs 25 yuan which is 4 bucks😂
👀👀👀
Thanks for this. I was on the fence due to toe box. Pictures are hard to tell sometimes. Thanks.
Welcome! Glad it helped!
The toe seems good for push-ups, burpee’s & mountain climbers
take the blue wedge out of the insole and they're perfect

Here in Eu 38€ =38$ for a pair
I love these shoes
Are we digging the Rhone lately?
I enjoy them for some things. Their performance apparel needs a buff, IMO, but the business casual is solid!
Running comfort?
Not great, lol
The pronunciation is Fay-pause-youeh
Yes, I was hoping someone would know better! Thank you!
A famous band even wrote a song for their love of Feiyue shoes !

Wait, that song was about Feiyue? Didn't know that!
This F-you shoes is pretty interesting. you forgot to test it with some Kung Fu. 😛 How do they compare to the low top chucks?
Haha, no one wants to see me attempt any form of martial arts! I'm pretty sure I would tear a muscle trying.

They are also a staple shoe for parkour and urban gymnasts.
The only question I have is does it have a wider toe box than like converse?
Nope, unfortunately!
Way wider. I wear toe separators inside mine.
Yes it’s significant for me
I wear size 44 on converse should i go 44 on feiyue
Think you'd be fine with that!
Those aren't the original ones, the original ones have a tringle not a circle at the bottom.
They have diff models in diff countries I learned, prob white labeled
@@thatfitfriend the ones with rounded edges are better.
@@π_π-μ6μ good looks!
My guy squatting 3 plates
It's pronounced Fay-yea
Correct!
"I've seen two different ways to pronounce the name"...and they are both entirely wrong.
Enlighten us.
@@thatfitfriend am a chinese here , its pronounce " fay yeah "
I know Hobbes when I see him.

Is it the Chinese or French model?
Believe French
@@thatfitfriend The French ones are in excess of $85usd
@@etow8034 then def not French 🤯! I bought off their site, but folks have said if you do that they’re the French iteration - scratch that then!

how long do they last for high volume calisthenics?

25$? Friend, you got scammed. the shoes are only like.. 15$? Sometime even less.
Not in the US from most retailers 😂 ish expensive af here
Damn these things are 40 bucks now. I heard they were once 15 bucks. Goddamnit lol
Have you checked Amazon and other outlets? They can vary!
They're original one which the one has green triangle only 36 yuan in China which is near 6 dollars
ps: white are definitely better
😂😂 you know, I’m actually not the biggest white colorway guy!
Both pronunciations are wrong but that is ok
