In some way, Grunkle Stan smuggling pugs across the border is way worse than if it were illegal substances. The pugs being smuggled implies that people across the border are forbidden to own / restricted from owning them. The most likely reason for that would be, that the government doesn't want untrustworthy people to own pets / pugs. So Grunkle Stan most likely enabled shady people to obtain pugs, so who knows what they will do to them? Neglect them? Abandon them? Mistreat them? Eat them? Stan is still truely not what he seems.

The pugs being smuggled implies that people across the border are forbidden to own / restricted from owning them. The most likely reason for that would be, that the government doesn't want untrustworthy people to own pets / pugs. So Grunkle Stan most likely enabled shady people to obtain pugs, so who knows what they will do to them? Neglect them? Abandon them? Mistreat them? Eat them?

Oddly enough, i thought of Shrek before…the show itself.
I remember watching Gravity Falls when I was in elementary school, and my grandma was in the room with me.
