This is why I loved the idea of Spartan Ops from Halo 4, I just feel they implemented it wrong. Imagine every main title having a series of side missions that are updated and added to throughout the games life cycles, these missions exploring and explaining things like this. Just for an example, halo 4's Spartan Ops could have given us all what we want, playable elites, and could have followed the Arbiter and maybe his battles on Sanghelios as that would have led into halo 5 perfectly, then halo 5 could have followed some of blue teams story even including maybe chief maybe set even before halo 1 or vice versa! Imagine how cool that would have been reverting to his old armor for a few side missions, and then showing their reunion after halo 4! It could have even followed the style of the main campaign giving us missions as blue team and fireteam Osiris showing us their forming and giving us some of their story. These missions wouldn't have to be great in terms of design or anything, just extra content for the real halo fans who don't have much time to get Into too much of the extended lore, but love Halo for its awesome and expansive story.
I think that would work best as its own side game. One that shares assets, engine, and client but you can purchase whatever storyline you like. Almost like a Telltale series where each chapter/season (maybe 4 missions?) is modestly sized and priced. You could also tie in MP and have cosmetics require having a certain story. That way they can take their time giving things the breathing space they need, while also having a continuous pay model like businesses cum over nowadays.
cpMetis I know. I just hate having to continuosly pay for something :/ I don't like this Talk of business models. I don't give a fuck about how much money they earn. The only thing I care about is if it isn't too expensive and doesn't need me to regularly pay money. Sorry I don't care if something is good for business
The games should've actually introduced them. Most people were told halo 1-4 that chief single handedly fought off huge amounts of covenant, flood, and the didact and blue team just "heerr Durr" shows up in halo 5 with almost zero explanation to people who just enjoy the games.
501stTrooperBMC also people actually have to buy the books some of them can be just as expensive as the game itself so that’s another reason why people don’t want to
@Andy Gygi I agree they should have introduced Blue team in better way in these game's by having a little backstory about what they were doing and who they are, even then people would have complained because they would still feel like these spartant 2 came out of no where for people who didnt read the book.In my opinion we should have had a game with only blue team as the protags,This way Book reader would be happy to finally play as them and the new player could get to know them.Unfortunatly they didnt do that.
Even then halo 4 story wasnt confusing I didnt know who the didact was but he was a new ennemy and obviously the Comnander of the forerunner i expected to discover more in later games but unfortunately they used is characters only once.Halo 5 story wasnt confusing either the gameplot is basic as fuck and the story is just trash. If you seriously tought that halo 5 was confusing apart from blue team, idk what to tell you.
At the end with 343i's statement "No new playable characters" stuff. I don't think they get it. The 2 problems weren't that we got new playable characters. The first problem was that the new playable characters in Halo 5, were just bad characters. Hell, Blue Team were bad characters in Halo 5 as well. The second problem was that we only got to play as Master Chief FOR THREE MISSIONS. He's the main character of the ENTIRE Halo franchise. Yet, he was almost wasn't present in Halo 5. In Halo 2, we got a good mix of Master Chief and Arbiter, and they were both GREAT characters. Halo 5 was just poorly done.
Freelancer837 well considering they took that and we want dumbed down stories shows their arrogance, they think 5 was just too good for us, we didn't "get it" and instead of facing reality choose to ignore what we say and interpret it completely differently.
Personally I have no problem with new character; in fact I support it. My favorite Halo game of all time, Reach, had a new character and I LOVED that game to death!
Bro it's kinda sad but really badass, ya know? John only knows war. His literal purpose of human growth was to fight the good fight. Blue Team has always been right there with him, following him as their Chief. That is why I love Halo so much.
Spencyn Man, one of these days, some marine should introduce chief to the bar table, and get him some alcohol(it's not like it's easy for Spartans to get drunk, right?). Or maybe either Lord Hood or Admiral Serin-019 Osman(the latter should work better, he'll be more likely to listen to a fellow Spartan-II)should give him a standing order to just sit down and rest for a day or two.
The fact that Samuel died and Fredrick is the high ranking Spartan officer and Chief is just the highest enlisted Spartan but Fred choose to follow behind John
Diomonte Manning in lore, even before they went through augmentations, and received NCO ranks, Chief has been the de-facto leader of the Spartan-IIs, way back in their training days. So it's no surprise that despite being a Lieutenant, Fredrick would follow John's lead instead of it being the other way round.
@@thebonnevilleof5933 Blue team is still stronger and more skilled than noble team due to them all being spartan IIs who had superior augmentations whilst noble team mostly consisted of IIIs
Where was blue team? Beating the shit out of Red team. R.V.B Joke I don't think Sarge and the rest of the Reds would last long. I'm sure a lot of you saw how Tex went "buck-wild" on those poor guys. Oh and Tucker.
Heres a small tip for all you fools. If you play Halo 1: Anniversary on the last mission, The MAW, if you go to the part if the mission where your in the room above the cyro room where you first come into the game, look on the panels on the wall. Theres one for chief. And *LINDA*
I can't stand how bad 343i is with story. They killed Black Team like nothing. Spartan Ops left off on a big cliff hangar that seemed like it would play a very important role. They finish it in a comic book. Jul M'dama is killed in the first mission of Halo 5 by spartans that have shown to be push overs (but then again 343i's Elites themselves have shown to be push overs). This is just ridiculous. Anyone feel free to reply with other annoying story mistakes (in-universe or out-of-universe reasons) that 343i has pulled.
Composing the Didact and throwing the new Created plotline in are quite rash actions. Maybe the latter could be helped if they at least bring the Assembly in (points for spotting the Reach reference) but I'm not sure what turning the Didact into data is mean't to accomplish yet.
I'll at least point out that Brian Reed wrote BOTH the comic and Terminal where the Didact claimed that. He and O'Conner claim this is part of a larger plan, but it looks like they just put him on the shelf for a while.
I wanna see what 343 will do with the universe we love. Halo 4 was actually pretty good, and Halo 5 was only so bad because of our perception. It didn't exactly live up to expectations, but it was really sub-par at worst, and "meh" at best.
Because the Warden can make multiple physical bodies. He's like an A.I and is just inserting himself in new physical forms each time you fight him.....this is all said in game.
I seen them in Halo Legends The Package. I always wanted to see more of them but Fred the most. In the beginning of Halo 1 you can see when Cortana say "I guess they were trying to get you while you where napping" you can see the master cheif's profile and body model on the scale and if you walk over around it you see Linda's.
By the way in the second minute explaining how Linda got shot she actually died and was shoved in a cryo tube to be preserved later to be revived by halsey
I'd like them to be back in Halo 6. But probably not in the squad thing like 5. I'd prefer them doing what Bungie did with Halo: Reach with the invincible AI team. Though give us a few missions with Chief alone and maybe a few where the team gets split up by any means. And seeing how they have roles within the team, I'd like 343 to actually flesh out their specialty to the point that we notice. With that mechanic I would actually like to see the "squad thing" being used in it's full potential i.e sending Linda, alone, to higher ground for them snipez.
dragon ass of how bout second player plays as one of them (kinda like halo 3 with arbiter) and depending on who they play as the cutsene is different (most likely same dialogue from chief but different ones from each member of blue team). And if you play solo the entire cutsene is different.
There was nothing wrong with blue team in Halo 5, it was the lack of focus on blue team that made the game struggle. I seriously don't understand how 343i thought fans would rally behind a completely random fireteam Osiris (aside from buck because Nathan Fillion) when we have Chief's original team right there. Was a bummer.
I heard how you tried to hold back laughter about something during 5:33. Great video by the way, this thing has been pending on my mind for a while now.

love how the Escalation pics of Blue team (or whatever the fuck that comic was) messed up Linda and Kelly. ...also still question why Kelly is shorter than Chief, when she's supposed to the tallest.
Fredric, Kelly, and Linda are great characters and should stay in the games but not the same way like in halo 5 because that was just bull shit. They should put them in the game like how Sargent Johnson (or Noble Team on Halo Reach) was. In most of the cut scenes but hardly seen in battle and when they are in battle there bad ass.

Jesse Olsen let us not forget that the Didact did not die either. He was just merely contained. The ejected fragment crashed into the Composer's Forge where the Didact became digitized as with everyone he digitized at New Phoenix.
Kristian Young this is a video on blue team... So I would rather have seen more details about where blue team was in between the titles of Halo 1-4 like Chris said he was gonna talk about... Rather than a tangent on what happened to the Didact after Halo 4. What about Kelly basically being kidnapped by Halsey and taken to Onyx... they didn't merely travel there together. Kinda a big detail that was left out!
TGamer Bailey tbh gonna have to agree, Locke’s introduction felt EXTREMELY forced and playing as him felt forced too. They’re bland and their squad is boring, (except buck of course)

You miss a big part of how Linda was rescued, she was actually drifting in space around the Halo ring, because her cryo pod was ejected during descent/crash. 117 picked her up in the longsword, and later on the Ascendent justice she was operated on by Halsey.
about the first halo, in the book fall of reach doesn't it explain that Linda is in a cryopod, on the Pillar of Autumn if so, what about when it exploded?
Hey Chris. I heard something that wasn't right. The Didact did not die. The Halo fragment actually crashed into the Composer's Forge. He ended up getting digitized instead of killed. So he is not actually dead, just merely "contained".
greenleaf Jedi thank you, I thought they were a little mixed around when I first saw them in action, I had just accepted it was just my lack of knowledge of them.
why dont they made a game based on these stories? i dont understand. they can make more money, avoid failed product, do a bit fanservice and everybody wins.
Lucky Chan because game developing is expensive and time consuming. They’re following chiefs story in the games with only a few spinoffs that directly relate to chiefs story (not counting the overhead halo games obviously). Halo 5s budget was around 250m just to give you an idea and that’s not entirely to game developing either, that includes advertising and merchandise
they messed up Kelly and Lindas roles at 1:30 in the novelization Linda was the sniper while Kelly was quick on her feet making her better for the role of scout
The team based elements of Halo 5 made it possibly my favorite Halo campaign yet apart from the original. I would like to see what was done in Halo 5 with squad based mechanics and more of it! And definitely bring back Blue Team!
Shiftycharacter 1 how? In halo 4 terminals he says to librarian that he himself is immune to being composed. That’d be a plot hole. I think being vaporized by the shear heat of the crash is much more probable, like damn

Its like she saying, "Take another step closer to my man Bitch and..." LOL!! Plus when Master Chief stops her by putting his hand in front of her she doesn't, for one second, take her eyes off of Cortana.
holice kaderli III I’m pretty sure it had more to do with the fact that Cortana is rampant and no one trusts her besides chief. I _HIGHLY_ doubt Linda or any of the spartan 2s see each other that way because they grew up as family
Yeah I know :) I just saw it the other way cause she was the only one to move in front of Chief. It would have been nice to see them all move in front.
IXxBossxXI even though such a thing called incest sadly exist. I know that's not revelant to the conversation I'm just pointing that out. Still I think it would be cool if Chief and Linda or chief and Kelly had a relationship it would add something you wouldn't ever expect.

I kind of wish we had a Halo game just about Blue team
Creeper Daniel Well Halo 5 does exist...
Creeper Daniel maybe they will someday lots a missions they could do. Its not like they haven't done prequels before
Sure Halo 5 had blue but the game mostly focused on fireteam osirus and Halo 5 suck balls
Master Chief Halo 5 is by no means about “just blue team”. I assume he means a prequel about blue team
Halo 6 is confirmed Master Chief is the sole playable character.
That way they can take their time giving things the breathing space they need, while also having a continuous pay model like businesses cum over nowadays.
cpMetis
nah that would kinda suck with the season. More like once you buy it you have all of it.
NCR Elite Riot Officer That wouldn't work from a business perspective.
Would've been better than the comics that very few people knew existed
cpMetis
I know. I just hate having to continuosly pay for something :/
I don't like this Talk of business models. I don't give a fuck about how much money they earn. The only thing I care about is if it isn't too expensive and doesn't need me to regularly pay money.
Sorry I don't care if something is good for business

With Halo 5 so many people got a bad impression on blue team... shame they never read the books or some lore about them
The games should've actually introduced them. Most people were told halo 1-4 that chief single handedly fought off huge amounts of covenant, flood, and the didact and blue team just "heerr Durr" shows up in halo 5 with almost zero explanation to people who just enjoy the games.
501stTrooperBMC also people actually have to buy the books some of them can be just as expensive as the game itself so that’s another reason why people don’t want to
@@memespressions9235 nah they cost 12 dollars i checked

Ive had this conversation. They did too much experimenting in halo 5 it was all around bad
Freelancer837
I liked Blue Team... just that I rather have the Arbiter and a team of Elite rather than Locke and his Fireteam
Personally I have no problem with new character; in fact I support it. My favorite Halo game of all time, Reach, had a new character and I LOVED that game to death!
I think Halo 5 was a great game other then the fact that CORTANA was shoved into the game last minute
Bro it's kinda sad but really badass, ya know? John only knows war. His literal purpose of human growth was to fight the good fight. Blue Team has always been right there with him, following him as their Chief. That is why I love Halo so much.
Spencyn
Man, one of these days, some marine should introduce chief to the bar table, and get him some alcohol(it's not like it's easy for Spartans to get drunk, right?).

HaloFollower: the Didact hates Halo-
Me: maybe he’s more of a Call of Duty person?😂😂😂😂
No mention of John picking up Linda's pod and Johnson. No footage of the terminal where Fred and Kelly tell ONI about the invasion. uh okay
Heres a small tip for all you fools. If you play Halo 1: Anniversary on the last mission, The MAW, if you go to the part if the mission where your in the room above the cyro room where you first come into the game, look on the panels on the wall. Theres one for chief. And *LINDA*
Xero Wing I know that...
Xero Wing i always thought that was for the second player
Shes in the first mission to when if you look at the board once you kill I think its the first red elite
+Chris sonofPear
Didact: I can't be composed.
Chief: Well we'll see about that!
Lone Star no, it's was just bad in all aspects of writing and story telling.
Goes one on one with didact. Now there is no spartan as good as 117.

When i was playing halo 3 odst i needed blue team to help me defend the oni building with marines and NMPD forces
Odst soldier it woulda been nice to have the there
Odst soldier the reason i luv reach an odst is bc it doesnt involved that halo ,forerunner, flood, bullshit

By the way in the second minute explaining how Linda got shot she actually died and was shoved in a cryo tube to be preserved later to be revived by halsey
Watching this now 3 years later and hearing Halo 6 makes me chuckle.

Jesse Olsen how about you make a video then, since you seem to be an expert
