Hi Brian, I purchased the Panasonic 55ins Z95A yesterday. What a truly outstanding telly. Sound system is 2nd to none. 160 watts of I think 7 specialised speakers. Dolby Atmos. Picture and image quality is up there as well. Remote suits me as well as you have plenty of buttons and less sub menus as others. If I let my head rule I’m really impressed with the LG g4 to be honest. Panasonic is a nostalgic choice for me if ya get my drift. Cheers.
Dude, that is one nice tv. I hope they come out with an 83”. Like you I’m stuck at 83”. You really got me excited for a Panasonic. I’m so impressed with the lack of color banding and black crushing. These are some issues I don’t like with my LG and the magic remote which I absolutely despise. The sound was so impressive on that tv. I have a soundbar system but I would really like to see a comparison of the two. I think the “big 3” are going to have a run for their money in 2025. Panasonic will be at the top of my list of TVs if they can get into bigger sizes. Thanks for the video Brian, great content as always! 👍🏻

i absolutely will buy this 65 inch oled for my upgrade hopefully soon. The deal breaker (vs A95L/G4) is 100% the built in speaker system with its simplicity and no hassle. I'm no audiophile but I do want quality sound, this will be a big upgrade to my current 6-series TCL Roku tv with mediocre TCL sound bar. Fact that tv image quality is great out of box is icing on cake. Thank you Brian!

Awesome first look presentation Brian. I'll tell you what I probably will hold out to 2025 to see if they bring a 77" oled. Like you said best of both LG and Sony. Can't wait.
I actually prefer the Z95A design rather than having a separate soundbar as it just looks a lot more clean but I can see those that have a custom set up not really needing the speakers. I wish they also brought the 55 inch over just because my space is just a smaller condo. It’s a great TV I have mine over here in the U.K. - it’s certainly another one to add to the list…it’s my third Panasonic OLED and I’ve loved each and every one of them.
@@MariaJose-nv3tjLG G4 is just as good this year, there is frankly no massively obvious difference in picture quality after calibration between those three. No DSE, superb screen uniformity, great shadow detail, accurate colours for all three. I upgraded from a Panasonic GZ2000 to the LG G4 after checking out the A95L and the Z95A, because it has four full speed HDMI 2.1 ports that I needed.
I wonder if there's a good wall mount that can hold this. If there is one that can extend out and turn 90 degrees so i can watch it from my kitchen, this is probably my next TV. So long as I can find one in Canada.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY That's great to know! What I'm most curious about is how effective the local dimming is in general, and especially how it performs in game mode.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Looking forward to it! I think what's especially interesting about the W95A is that it's a mini LED from a company with a similar philosophy as Sony. Where Samsung, TCL and so many others will dim smaller highlights and crush shadow detail in order to chase those deep blacks, Sony prioritize accuracy, and will allow their LCDs to bloom if that's needed in order to get an accurate picture. Panasonic are the same as Sony, accuracy comes first. That makes it interesting to see how the W95A compares to Sony LCDs like the Bravia 9, Bravia 7, X90L, etc. How well can it do in finding a balance between preserving shadow detail and keeping blooming under control.
We are factory direct Panasonic dealers, and we actually have a meeting tomorrow afternoon with Panasonic's top TV executive. I hope to be included in Panasonic's first allocation/shipment which is on or about Thursday, September 18th. We'll have all three new Panasonic TV series , including up to the 85 MiniLED TV on display/demo in our A/V Showroom next to Sony's A95L, Samsung's S95D and LG's G4. and all of the top QD MiniLED TVs we also have on display.
Perfect! I’m looking to get another Panasonic Oled from you. I love my 55in GZ2000 that I bought from Value Electronics 2 years ago, but I regretted not getting the 65in model. Thanks Robert for everything you do for us!
Those are the three best TVs on the market and there is no great difference in picture quality after calibration for dim room viewing, they each look glorious, so choose based on the features you need. I auditioned those three in my local AV dealer and went with the G4 eventually since it has the four full speed HDMI 2.1 ports that I needed.
I wonder if it has 120 bfi and heard it has better motion processing. Motion is very important to that crisp detail. A 60fps 1080p video can have crazy detail so making Motion on lower frame rate will make a crisp picture. Ill choose better Motion over qd oled. Bad motion can muddy low frame rate content.
Agreed. I have the hz2000 and it has bfi(i think 120hzbfi, but not 120hz capable in other terms if that makes sense?). It is usefull to a degree but some blurr can be seen as always with sample and hold displays. Panasonics late model plasmas are probably better in this regard. A combination of interpolation and bfi works best for me with the hz200, the lowest interpolation setting that is.
Looks like I may have found my new TV. It would've been nice if the Z95A was made in the larger 75" and 85" model sizes too. It's also too bad that the bottom speaker system on the Z95A wasn't a clip on option for the larger 75" and 85" W95A too.
seems like the direct competitor to the Z95A is the LG G4...how does it compare to the G4?...I'm hoping that in 2025 Panasonic announces a QD-OLED model...that would be incredible and a threat to dethrone the Sony A95L
So I was told by a chap at my local TV showroom that apparently Samsung and gonna come away from making QD-OLED panels. This could mean QD-OLEDS in general will disappear in favor of another technology like MLA.
I think it does already... the staff in branch pointed out it looks sharper out of the box comparing them at my local store.. unfortunately Panasonic don't do a master or mla panel like Sony or LG... I'm hoping to go bigger with my next panasonic currently have the 65hz2000 which is fantastic
My first thoughts: Great to see panasonic stepping into the game Good that panasonic is all about accuracy (I dont like vivid) Unfortunate that only Z95A comes with the MLA panel so one would have to buy that one with the technics speakers. I dont need tv speakers at all, because I use home cinema surround sets. The price is high compared to G4, probably also because of the extra speakers..
I really hope Panasonic arriving in USA means MLA to 77" and 83" , and they bring those to my country. Problem is unless LG Display brings something extra than just NITs . Samsung Displays 83" QD=OLED maybe be tough competition, so safer to only bring it too 77"
I want to see how good their version of mini led is. My first new TV was a Panasonic 27 Gao, the first almost flat crt made till Sony made the truly flat tube to keep up. Had a beautiful picture with excellent color balance. I think that was about 90.
here in Romania (UE) - 65 Z95A - 4400 euros, 65 LG B4 - 1,400 euros , 65 LG G4 2,500 euros, 65 Sony A95L - 3000 euros, Samsung 65 S95D - 2,104 euros, 65 S90D 1,700 euros; im asking why the hell Z95A is so expensive than the others? just because it have 180W audio?
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPYPanasonic are pricing themselves out of the market, however good this TV is, even the Philips 909 with the exact same panel and soundbar is 500 EUR less and always comes down, Samsung are being very aggressive with pricing on the S95D in Europe, whilst the z95A is probably a better TV, it's not 75% better
I have the Sony A95L OLED @ 77 inches and the A80L OLED @ 65 inches. Hope you're able to do a side by side comparison against the A95L OLED. I have to say that the design is something I'm definitely not feeling. It looks bulky for 2024. That stand makes it look a little dated, as well. A lukewarm return compared to what we have, in my opinion.
Nice combo. I have a 65 A95L and a 55 A80K. I personally don’t have a reason to buy a tv now for awhile. But I still watch the vids. I wonder if Panasonic being back hurts Sony more than LG and Samsung. Also are they gonna be in BestBuy and other electronic stores?
@zr1cvette I was looking last night, and this television is already for sale, but it's not in Best Buy. Personally, I don't think Panasonic will be able to unseat Sony. I'm not even sure if it would be able to jump ahead LG. I felt the same way when I bought my television, feeling that I wouldn't have to buy another television for at least the next 5 years. I got the A80L in October last year for the bedroom and got the A95L on June 6th a few months ago for the living room.
@@earnestedwards673 I definitely don’t think they’ll unseat any of the 3 either. I was just talking about general sales at the high end. Would definitely think they’d cut into Sony and lg some OLED sales wise. I actually hope they stick around though. Competition is always a good thing. Be nice to see them end up in BestBuy or a local electronics store.
Hey Brian, I haven't seen much discussion of the Bravia 9 vs UX. Im thinking of picking something up to replace the A90J. What are your thoughts I love the clean image of OLED but when I turn on the LED and it gives me a free tan; it makes me want to give the newest mini led tvs a chance.
Glad the US brothers are getting the Panasonic oleds. Maybe you'll convince them to release 77 and 83 MLA oleds :) The problem is that they bring their models so late to the market, even in the EU, that they end up being 1000+ euros more than LG, Samsung or Sony.
I’d like to know more about there mini LED W95A , and where it falls in line compared to the other flagship mini LEDs. Have a big room and anything smaller than a 77” is a no go here and I’d really like to step up to an 85”
Hey Brian, Great review! I was wondering if this TV had a warranty for burn in like the LG? I also didn't like the bezel and the remote! If your spending top dollar for a TV I think the remote should represent purchase of a top dollar TV. I would also look at purchasing this set if it came in a 77 or 84 inch!
I live in the U.K. and been a Panasonic OLED owner for years (various models) trust me you won’t be lacking in controls to adjust the picture. Panasonic have for years been a leader in the field when it comes picture adjustment. To be honest, the picture is usually so accurate out of the box, most people won’t bother. I have my latest set calibrated by the guys that Vincent Teoh (HDTV Test) authorises and it looks fabulous…..best TV I’ve owned.
SOOOOOOO FREAKING happy Panasonic back to U.S again, i never bought any TVS from them back then was all about SONY TVS ..but i bought last Projectors they released AE 4000 & 8000 such as still works with GREAT pic & quality lovin it but is 1080P projectors back then wasn't 4K , thats why i bought the newer model , till they rapped it up in U.S..such as was bummer.. ya is GREAT brand HELL YA going buy again, they make really good electronics 2..have alots of them back in 90s & still works...Panasonic gonna kick the LG & might Samsung in the butt goodbye
Thank you for the review. Are you able to compare motion clearing with LG's G3 and G4? I have already read that motion clearing on G4 has not improved compared to G3. But how is it on the Z95A? I currently have a G3 and the only thing I am not satisfied with is the motion clearing (medium setting, "natural"). In game shows (HD TV) the score tabs are stuttering when sliding from the side to the center of the picture, and during streaming of SciFi UHD content ("The Expanse" on Prime) sometimes the stars turn into lines when the camera is moving over a starfield fast. In general, several moving objects moving in different directions or a abrupt change of scene are causing trouble (Short single stutter) I hope I could find the right words in English to describe the issue... Is the Z95A 's performance significantly better here than G3/G4? I need to know this before I spend so much money for it. Thank you so much for any reply. BR, Thomas from Germany
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The Z95A is excellent all around and in some ways is better then the G4. However Stop the Fomo found some interesting judger that wasn't present on the G4 so I hesitate to say it better in that regard. I personally had no motion difficulties myself.
Best of panasonic what I hear from you is that the accuracy + motion is good. Brian, what do you think about pano shots at low fps with this tv? You and fomo compared it a while ago between g4, s95d, a95l and g3. In that long stream you both did. Were the g3 needed cinematic motion to get a more fluid motion with the pano shot, while g4 didnt need it.. You guys did that with the container scene from Army of the dead. Reason I asked is because I don’t like soap opera but I don’t like stuttery/juddery pano shots either 😅
Panasonic flagship Oled could have had a better looking pedalstool anyways looking forward to there flagship mini led can it match or out do the bravia 9 can't wait to see which is better l own Sony and Panasonic TV's
Hey Brian since you’ve had lots of time with both, is the 83” G4 worth the $1300 difference over the 83” A80L? Living room everyday TV with some PS5 gaming
The A80L is excellent all around a very good value and is also excellent for PS5 gaming. The G4 is brighter and worth it if gaming is a more prominent focus.
I've been looking for warranty information on this tv in the UK I believe you get a 6 year warranty . I think it's mandated by the Government though .Does anyone have any insight?
Whats the difference between "Game" and the "True Game" preset? The normal Game preset was introduced back on the MZ2000 i believe as the most accurate game mode preset ... and now we have "True Game". Dont see the point between the two?
The added bulk of the speakers on this makes it a no-go. Those of us buying OLED's already have sound systems in place, and especially the speaker under the display makes this TV look dated.
I understand that as it can bump up the price but I bought their flagship 3yrs ago over a sony not for speakers as have a setup but the cinematic lifelike picture quality as its all I care about for my movies..
While I don’t know which one is better, I do love that Panasonic can turn any profile (like Film Maker) into a game mode, enjoying accuracy and low input lag. The direct feature that turns off video processing, so pixel art games looks perfect, it sorta works as a simplistic retro tink. And finally you can purchase a dongle for legacy cables like component, composite and scart.
Glad to Panasonic back in the U.S. and in the game

I have a 60" Panasonic plasma TV I found at the recycle center and I want to get it repaired so I can try for a while. I hope it will be worth it.
Oh, Are viewing Jennifer's work via UA-cam feeds or have you downloaded them?
Thanks.
THE KING TV. The best of.
Yeah !
Fantastic video, Brian. I have really enjoyed it.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, my friend !
I am blown away by the visuals God damn I knew panasonic was the best 👌🏽 but this is a whole new level!
It’s a great TV I have mine over here in the U.K. - it’s certainly another one to add to the list…it’s my third Panasonic OLED and I’ve loved each and every one of them.
Panasonic and Sony are the best, the Japanese always make quality products and that's why they are more expensive.
Fantastic vid brother. Can we expect a Z95A vs A80L soon?
Would you choose this over A95L?
tv look CRAAAAZZZZYYYY GOOD
I wonder if there's a good wall mount that can hold this. If there is one that can extend out and turn 90 degrees so i can watch it from my kitchen, this is probably my next TV. So long as I can find one in Canada.
Pls add the Panasonic W95a to your review list
@Edin8140 it's on its way! Thank you for watching
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Great, and thanks
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY That's great to know! What I'm most curious about is how effective the local dimming is in general, and especially how it performs in game mode.
@MechaGodzilla I'll definitely let you know😁
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Looking forward to it!
I like the settings of that TV
Will 2025 models be available to Value Electronics or will Panasonics only be exclusive to Amazon and maybe Costco going forward?
Can’t wait to see z95a vs lg g4 vs Sony a95l
Those are the three best TVs on the market and there is no great difference in picture quality after calibration for dim room viewing, they each look glorious, so choose based on the features you need.
I auditioned those three in my local AV dealer and went with the G4 eventually since it has the four full speed HDMI 2.1 ports that I needed.
Recently, a Top Calibrator and Expert said that the Reds were oversaturated, and had to be corrected, out of the Box.
Great TVs
Love it!
Having the Sony HT-A9 speaker system, would I be able to use that instead of the system that is installed on TV?
Looks like I may have found my new TV. It would've been nice if the Z95A was made in the larger 75" and 85" model sizes too. It's also too bad that the bottom
speaker system on the Z95A wasn't a clip on option for the larger 75" and 85" W95A too.
G4 is the better TV, don't be silly.
Ahh it looks Perfect 🥰
Which one do you prefer out of this Panasonic or the Sony A95L?
I had a rear projection tv in the 1990's I have missed their tvs. I have my eye on the z85a to replace my Lg c1.
Looks nice but this is W-OLED hope panasonic come out with a QD-OLED!
seems like the direct competitor to the Z95A is the LG G4...how does it compare to the G4?...I'm hoping that in 2025 Panasonic announces a QD-OLED model...that would be incredible and a threat to dethrone the Sony A95L
My first thoughts:
Great to see panasonic stepping into the game
Good that panasonic is all about accuracy (I dont like vivid)
Unfortunate that only Z95A comes with the MLA panel so one would have to buy that one with the technics speakers.
Samsung Displays 83" QD=OLED maybe be tough competition, so safer to only bring it too 77"
I may have to come out there. Good tech but this is too small. We need this at sizes up to 100 inches. 65 I just can’t.
So.. is it better than the a95L?. Really the only question
No
@@unsimpleoledor7219 For many people it might well be.
Yes
No, G4 is the best.
Absolutely yes , but also lg g 4 can to be comparete with z 95 a
I want to see how good their version of mini led is.
The prices here are comparable, my friend. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case in Romania.
@@earnestedwards673 Yeah the OLED and QD OLED combo is great. 77 A95L for the family room 🔥
If I choose "Basic experience" will that disable all the "smart" TV nonsense? Can I still access the HDMI ports or just the coaxial?
Hey Brian, I haven't seen much discussion of the Bravia 9 vs UX. Im thinking of picking something up to replace the A90J. What are your thoughts I love the clean image of OLED but when I turn on the LED and it gives me a free tan; it makes me want to give the newest mini led tvs a chance.
Glad the US brothers are getting the Panasonic oleds. Maybe you'll convince them to release 77 and 83 MLA oleds :)
The problem is that they bring their models so late to the market, even in the EU, that they end up being 1000+ euros more than LG, Samsung or Sony.
I’d like to know more about there mini LED W95A , and where it falls in line compared to the other flagship mini LEDs.
Have a big room and anything smaller than a 77” is a no go here and I’d really like to step up to an 85”
I'll have the W95A in a few days! Here's a short of it to tide you over.ua-cam.com/users/shortst-qIvuWqxLM?feature=share
I love everything iam seeing here ❤
Will these new TVs make their way to Australia ?
Hey Brian, Great review! I was wondering if this TV had a warranty for burn in like the LG? I also didn't like the bezel and the remote! If your spending top dollar for a TV I think the remote should represent purchase of a top dollar TV. I would also look at purchasing this set if it came in a 77 or 84 inch!
the picture settings seem more simplistic on FireTV. I feel like LG gives you the most freedom to adjust the image.
There is a ton of flexibility through the settings my friend. Some that the competition doesn't have. Thank you for watching
What’s this tv like when attached to an independent amp ike DENON AND separate 7:1 speaker set up?
Please let us know how the upscaling
@@extremegamer-xo2fs it's excellent!
In general, several moving objects moving in different directions or a abrupt change of scene are causing trouble (Short single stutter)
I hope I could find the right words in English to describe the issue...
Do these speakers finally match older TV's like CRT and Rear Projection TV for bass?
They are above and beyond that my friend
@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Because many people say new TV's sound worse compared to older bulkier ones?
Panasonic flagship Oled could have had a better looking pedalstool anyways looking forward to there flagship mini led can it match or out do the bravia 9 can't wait to see which is better
l own Sony and Panasonic TV's
We are still waiting on that hisense u7n review and comparison to u8n maybe , any chance we get it soon Brian ?
Hey Brian since you’ve had lots of time with both, is the 83” G4 worth the $1300 difference over the 83” A80L? Living room everyday TV with some PS5 gaming
The A80L is excellent all around a very good value and is also excellent for PS5 gaming. The G4 is brighter and worth it if gaming is a more prominent focus.
Bonjour, z95 vs a95l vs G4 pour vous? merci
There is no better one, its also cleaner in its motion handling for sports and low content
When and where is this going to be available in Canada???? Seems like we're the only country that doesn't get new Panasonic TVs yet.
I'm still waiting on word from Panasonic my friend
I’m guessing the z85 competes with the c4 and maybe the Bravia 8?
It has a blueish tint like WOLEDs
Does the Dolby vision banner popup automatically when it detects it?
I've been looking for warranty information on this tv in the UK I believe you get a 6 year warranty . I think it's mandated by the Government though .Does anyone have any insight?
Where was it built? European models are built in TCL' s European plant, Poland, I think.
Whats the difference between "Game" and the "True Game" preset? The normal Game preset was introduced back on the MZ2000 i believe as the most accurate game mode preset ... and now we have "True Game". Dont see the point between the two?
We are SO back!
The added bulk of the speakers on this makes it a no-go. Those of us buying OLED's already have sound systems in place, and especially the speaker under the display makes this TV look dated.
You buy Panasonic for its picture quality. The speakers are a plus and you look dated.
I understand that as it can bump up the price but I bought their flagship 3yrs ago over a sony not for speakers as have a setup but the cinematic lifelike picture quality as its all I care about for my movies..
@@James-sp2iw You sound mad.
Hello! Brian…..Panasonic are very nice T.v’s…..But, I’m wondering if they’re still using some of Pioneer’s(Kuro) secret sauce technology…..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣I certainly hope so!
Question Is this now the best gaming tv or the s90d is still king for gaming experiences?
While I don’t know which one is better, I do love that Panasonic can turn any profile (like Film Maker) into a game mode, enjoying accuracy and low input lag. The direct feature that turns off video processing, so pixel art games looks perfect, it sorta works as a simplistic retro tink. And finally you can purchase a dongle for legacy cables like component, composite and scart.
