Hey Laura, you can clearly see the pure joy in your eyes (1:57)!!! So real and authentic!! ... :-) If you'll have the chance to make the license, do it!!! :-) I made it as well. And every time I fly I have the same joy in my eyes!! ... Really nice footage!! ... Take care and stay healthy!! ... All the best from Germany!!
A friend of mine started taking flying lessons many years ago and used to tell me about how fun it was. He kept telling me I needed to go with him one day and check it out. I always told him I didn't want to go or had something else to do because I really didn't have any interest in it. Then one day I ran out of excuses and went with him. I took the $20 Cessna introductory flight that lasted 30 minutes where I got to fly the plane a little bit. Well, that was it. I was absolutely and utterly hooked. My friend eventually gave up the lessons as he became interested in other things, but I kept them up and for years I continued to fly all kinds of planes, including twin engines. I flew freight across Texas at night and that sometimes involved flying through some of the worst weather Texas has to offer. It was scary and exhilarating at the same time, and something few things in life can replicate emotionally. Now it's been over 35 years since then and to this day, when I am in a huge commercial aircraft and leaving the ground, I still get a smile on my face thinking of that first flight, and how amazing it is to fly. Loved the video and loved your enthusiasm. I hope you never lose that.
Congratulations, that’s really cool man. I’m on the exact other end you are. I grew up around airplanes and am just starting flight training now that I’m 15.
This is the kind of content I like. It's real, and genuine. No clickbait or faking it.. We could tell you were for real excited. You weren't trying to play it cool at all and that's awesome to watch the real emotion. This is my new favorite channel on UA-cam right now and I think it'll be hard to top.. Some channels content is just so stretched out and watered down now I just dont feel it like I want. Now we just need some merch so I can spread the word lol
I love to fly in anything, not a pilot, but, daughter is a private pilot. That big smile says it all. We call that the grin that takes all day to go away. Love it.
.. That was AWESOME !! ... your look of excitement was extra bonus .... and then " This is your pilot Laura speaking ,, we will be flying at an altitude of 10 feet at a speed of 100 miles an hour " .... OH YEAH !! .. Definitely a great day !! ..
Glad you had a super time Laura. That smile says it all. The only time you put on a straight face was the time you got to fly it! Now you need you're own plane promoting Laura Farms with a banner! :)
I'm so happy I found your Channel, you have a beautiful personality, you love life to the fullest, you have great family and friends, --cheers--, God bless, Godspeed, & have a wonderful day!
Nice three point landing, if you watched the rudder peddles he always had his feet moving. If you want to watch a duster in action look up Scott Palmer, he’s from Idaho and does this for a living and is a great STOL pilot, check him out. Happy you had a great time, think there might be some flying lessons coming soon 😊.
Flying yourself is awesome - sadly September 2001 put an end to my flight training. Because the FAA grounded everyone for 6 months, both flight schools at my local airfield went bankrupt and out of business. I'm kind of too old to get back into it. Still remember the first time I went up solo - it was a blast!!
Thi video Laura, made my Saturday today! I'm a small plane commercial pilot from down here in New Zealand, where I learnt to fly way back in 1990 when I was your age, but haven't been able to afford to get flying again for over 12 years now. I've also flown the Piper Super Cub, and this one is gorgeous! Your infectious smile the "width of the US" just brightens my day everyday. I love watching your farming videos with Grant. Your friends property is a "dream place" for me as I search about the internet and the US looking for home airfields and hangars just like this! - Like your shed full of JD tractors and implements, I dream of having a home airstrip and hangar with at least 3 planes inside! - Dreams are free, and mine are especially cost effective, but I suspect I'll have to keep doing my present day job without airplanes sadly... David.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This is your best video yet!!! I have been watching your videos for a while now and I love your enthusiasm for farming. I have always had a special place in my heart for farm life. I also love flying! So this video is perfect!!!❤️
I am crying enjoying you having so much fun. I am so glad you are doing UA-cam so I could get to know you and your family and Grant. Oh by the way I will be 70 in July. I live on the farm my Great Grandfather bought around 1914 in the Panhandle of Texas.
Ok, let's just agree that you are cute as all get out! But when you smile, it makes me feel young again, like anything is possible. I am so happy for you, God bless you and your family. 👍🌹🙏
A natural combination - farmers and Ag pilots. It has been that way a long time. In the 1960's, fifty-some-odd years ago, a friend and I were out wandering in my family's wheat field in Eastern Washington state. It was fall, so the crops were all harvested. A plane came over and circled us, then landed on a long, smooth ridgetop in that field. It was one of the local spray pilots in a personal plane, about like the Carbon Cub you flew in. He was looking for my friends' Dad, who was off plowing another field a few miles away. The pilot had us hop in the back seat of his plane and took us up to show him where Les's Dad was working. I took flight lessons when I was 17 and flew ultralight aircraft around the farms in the early 1980's. I hope you do get the chance to do a lot more flying, young lady! There is nothing like observing your fields from the sky. Do it safely and with dedication, though. We know you'll do well at it if you want to!
You are one brave smart youngster!!! I'm 59 & I don't have the courage to even think about flying in an open plane with air all over the place! Believe me, I'd be using that air!! Breathe! 😲
I had just left a comment on the video where you saw the crop duster saying how you needed to start flying because of how excited and into it you were, and then I see this and I'm so effing excited for you now!!! I can't wait to see Laura Farms turn into a crop dusting and backcountry flying channel lol.
a Thousand upvotes for you today! being a pilot myself and to see you getting to go in a Super Cub and talk about it is fantastic! What an experience and what a great pilot to go up with. One flight usually sparks your interest in training to get your license... I'm also looking forward to Laura Flies!
I am a retired corporate/commercial pilot. I was a demonstration pilot for Cessna A/C Company turboprops and flew many corporate jets over the course of my career. The plane you flew is Piper Super Cub, which is the spin off of the J3 Cub. I’ve flown it too and absolutely loved how it handled. Hopefully your introductory flight “planted a seed” in your head and you’re go on to get your pilot tickets.
the SMILE from ear to ear says it all, I've worked on everything from B-17's, P-51's to 777's ain't more fun to be had with your clothes on! Thanks for sharing your joy, that propeller under the crop duster is an APU, we call them rat pumps, that runs a lot of the auxiliary spray equipment on the plane. Grant's a lucky fella, Thanks again
EAA! May I suggest that Laura Farms - time permitting investigates the Local Chapter of EAA. Experimental Aircraft Association. They have a young eagles program that will give you some more flight time at the controls of a airplane! LOL! EAA Chapter 80 covers Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, EAA Chapter 569 covers Lincoln NB... Happy Aviating!
That Has To Be The Most Beautiful Smile EVER And It Says It ALL, You Loved Flying!!! Flying Lessons In Your Future? Wishing You & Grant The Best in Your Future Endeavors.
That was amazing. I used to be a Skydiver and I always wanted to be a pilot so this video really made me flashback to those days. Thank you Laura. I love America. Much love from Portugal.
You always have this excited smile on your face but this time it was undeniably bigger. Getting my pilot’s license was one of the best things I ever did. You should get yours too!
The pure joy...shown in your ear to ear smile...says only one thing...you have the spirit of the Eagle within you! You will fly again and I am sure you will get your wings and becone a pilot...free from the bounds of earth.
Nice, a Piper Super Cub. That’s a proper first flight in General Aviation. You got to experience true stick and rudder flying. Nothing like flying on a nice day with doors down and doing a forward slip landing.👍👍
What a great, fun video Laura ... I for one can't wait to see you start lessons - perhaps that's the direction your Patreon could go?? Thanks for sharing this with all of us. And your Dad's pretty amazing as well for sorting this - he obviously saw what we all saw when you were talking about the crop duster before.
This video was made before I started following Laura Farms but it was really fun! I've had a pilot's license since 1988 and it was a total riot watching Laura's pilot doing 3 of the things my own instructors told me never to do...flying below 500 feet without any intention of landing, maneuvering when close to objects you could hit, and then on approaching landing, touching down on the grass instead of the paved runway. As the plane descended I realized that it had two things the airplanes I fly don't have: tundra tires and a taildragger configuration, so landing on the grass was OK. And of course for a cropduster flying low must be old hat. The house adjoining the runway was another rare and wonderful element. Plus the video editing and camera angles were amazingly refined for someone who much have been just learning the art of videography.
Really great video. 6 years in the Air Force, 44 as a cop flying, I think I should have wings rather than legs. Born in the Midwest but now in the mountains, I miss the area you are in. My daughter and son in law own 6000 acres of wheat so I know the issues farmers have. Stay smiling and making videos!!
Ever since I saw you watching the Crop Duster I knew for sure you belong in the Pilot Seat! I’m so happy for you Laura! Piper’s are fun and it’s a really excellent safe Plane for you to learn on. God Bless you! I hope you get your License and I honestly hope to see you doing Crop Dusting! ❤️🖖🏼😏🇺🇸
What an EPIC opportunity, Laura!!! Doors down on a super cub is a great feeling! I’m so glad that you got to see the world from the skies, it is an eye-opening mind-blowing experience! My dad is a general aviation pilot and we fly often, but it never gets old. I feel so honored that you chose to share this experience with us! PS. I love the sunset! Keep sharing them, they are one of a kind, just like you! ❤️
That is an amazing smile- I remember my first flight in a small two seater and a glider all the way up to being a real adult and jumping out of them and helicopters- always amazes me the power of flight. Go for it get your licence and fly you have the skills and capability along with your amazing positive outlook.
The look on your face when you were rolling out for takeoff speaks volumes about your experience. I remember that look on MY face my first time. I soon after took flying lessons and now own a small airplane to fly.
The Joy of Flight. That smile on your face is precious to those of us who have taught many to fly. If you dream of flying Laura, make it happen - you won't regret it.
I love crop dusters! My Dad was a crop duster mechanic for 30+ years in California. My first “full time” summer job was washing and servicing crop dusters at the airport my Dad worked at.
I figured it out. It took me awhile too but You have the same great smile as Goldie Hawn. She's a bit before your time. She is huge in Hollywood and a killer smile. I love that beautiful grin!
Dirt bike riding, 4-wheeling, wake boarding and now flying light aircraft... I think there's a little bit of an adrenaline junkie in you! :D That huge smile and look of pure joy on your face is priceless!
I love the genuine joy you express in your videos. I'm about the same age as your father and I have kids around your age and I look forward to them finding joy in their life as much as you do. So glad I subscribed a while back after encountering your video on reddit.
Hi. It shows that you were genuinely excited about your flying experience. I must say that you are a joy to watch. Great job! You said in one of your earlier videos that you weren’t too sure about this “UA-cam thing”. You are a natural in front of the camera and I think your channel will go far. Be proud of yourself!
Don't be fooled its all marketing for the green! That is her talent "smiling". Think about it she constantly smiles into the camera..there's no one there to smile at. How many human beings go around smiling for no reason. Ahh but in her case she has a reason. To sucker an audience in which translates into her income increasing, There is another girl on YT doing this same thing and last I read she's now a millionaire. I liked her too at the beginning till I realized what she's doing. Actually after my rant here I'm going to block her channel from popping up as recommended. My reason for bitching about this is simple, two things I don't like is BS and phony shit.
what a lucky girl young lady . the lives of some people veyr humbling ....so much stuff...i like that pilot guys house with the pond in teh back there very nice..what a life these people have....
Love watching the guy that sprays the fields around us. I can watch for hours.
That plane is one of the newest and best out there. Watching the pilot I was pretty impressed with his skills!
Hah hah, that cheesy grin says it all!!🤣😁👍 Those old J3 Cubs are a smile a minute.😉
Hey Laura, you can clearly see the pure joy in your eyes (1:57)!!! So real and authentic!! ... :-) If you'll have the chance to make the license, do it!!! :-) I made it as well. I had a similar experience and did my first flight 50 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. These are truly great memories!

I’m sooooooooooooooo jealous of that hangar. This man has a cub, helicopter, and biplane!!!! Sign me up for whatever job he has
Looks like he is Crop Duster.
He has a very Dangerous Job.
Business 🤔😎😃
I bet retired Air Force Officer (pilot) + crop dusting business. What a life.
Farmer?
I love to fly in anything, not a pilot, but, daughter is a private pilot. That big smile says it all. We call that the grin that takes all day to go away. Love it.
Grant and laura, you guys chose the absolute safest place you could possibly pick to take an airplane ride. You don't know how important that is.
That Grin on your face, Priceless !!!!
Que hermosa sonrisa tienes Laurita, sigue asi, felicidades.

Awesome adventure for you and your fam! Great views!
Very cool thanks!
My first time flying was my first time skydiving. Loads of fun. 👍Definitely worth it.

Ho super tank you vidéo magnifique bravo super
That hangar is awesome. I love the rotary engine bi-plane!!!
Laura Farms NEEDS a shop the size of that airplane hanger so you could put up your Laura Farms sign in it. Great video.
That shed/hanger/man cave is amazing!
Of all planes. A Piper Cub! Nothing better on Earth! So lucky!
I remember lesson one. After landing, I was still walking on clouds. Private pilot, single engine land, instrument airplane.
That's a million dollar smile right there. Reminds me of my daughters.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This is your best video yet!!! I have been watching your videos for a while now and I love your enthusiasm for farming. I have always had a special place in my heart for farm life. I also love flying! So this video is perfect!!!❤️

All the toys! So much fun. I want a house with its own runway.
I think all this week I am going to see your ear to ear happy smile - so nice to see - enjoy
You had the biggest smile!
I'm amazed at how you can describe fairly mundane events and make them so absolutely wonderful.
I love her smile! It makes me feel warm inside! 😊🤗
Enjoy it everyday! Buy and fly an ultralight! Every farmer needs one.

Nice, a Piper Super Cub. That’s a proper first flight in General Aviation. You got to experience true stick and rudder flying. Nothing like flying on a nice day with doors down and doing a forward slip landing.👍👍
Those air tractors look like the ones the forest service uses for fire fighting. Nice flight.
The look on your face in-flight....unbridled joy!!!! I would love to fly like that.
What a great, fun video Laura ... I for one can't wait to see you start lessons - perhaps that's the direction your Patreon could go??
Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

Slow motion shots were amazing. 6:48 was EPIC!
I was amazed when he said the plane he was pushing weighed 900 lbs. Equally amazed at the size of the crop dusting plane. Thanks!

Hi. It shows that you were genuinely excited about your flying experience. I must say that you are a joy to watch. Great job! You said in one of your earlier videos that you weren’t too sure about this “UA-cam thing”. You are a natural in front of the camera and I think your channel will go far. Be proud of yourself!
