Just in case no one knew, what’s even easier than the break hold, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, is having the car on cruise control with the assistive driving features on. As you come up on a car, your car slows down, and as that car takes off, so does your car. If the car in front of your stops, so will your car, and if your car is stopped for longer than roughly 5 seconds or so, you’ll have to simply and lightly tap the gas and it’ll take back off again still being in cruise control. By far one is my most favorite FEATURES.
Don’t forget the windows feature. Hold your unlock button for 3 seconds and all windows will roll down and sunroof will open. If you put the key in the drivers door and turn it to the left and hold for 3 seconds all the windows will roll back up without you having to turn your car on 🙂
Glad you are loving your car. These Accords are pretty amazing, especially for the money. I just picked up a brand new (6 miles on odometer) 2018 model today. They had it discounted to move and just couldn't pass up the deal. It was a Sport 2.0T model, but I'm very excited. I didn't care it wasn't a 2019 model. I saved money and same car.
Agreed. I bought the CR-V EX and am really happy with it. The only downside and not a big deal for me is that the Apple CarPlay has connectivity issues in both the '18 Accord and CR-V. discussions.apple.com/message/33469492#33469492
+MoNo K -- I don't know, but lots of '18 Accord owners on the Apple and Honda forums are complaining about CarPlay issues. I'd assume that maybe with the newer Honda head units, software/hardware conflicts are occurring and will continue until Apple/Honda find a fix. Btw, that '16 EX-L is a nice ride. When I bought my CR-V, I was also considering a used '16 Accord Touring V6 with less than 12k miles. Price was too high, so I went with the '18 CRV. Man, ONE week after I bought the CRV the same dealer lowered the price on the Touring $1500. Grrrrrr! Oh well, I have no regrets as I love my CRV with its little turbo 4-banger. lol. Again, I'm not stressing about the CarPlay....just extremely happy with Honda quality and resale value.
Got this 3 months back and have about 6k miles on it and gotta tell ya, absolutely in love with the car. My drive is an hour everyday and the comfortable level of this car is phenomenal.

What I’d like to see if you decide to make another video is a demonstration on how Honda sensing works. Since you’re in your car most of the time there’s a few personal things I would like to know: 1. (Honda sensing)I know how it works but could you give a demonstration? 2. Have you had any problems with your rims, and tires on the Sport? This is my first time watching your videos I enjoyed it, and I felt like you were very passionate about your likes and what meant the most to you.
Miko I’m getting close to 24 mostly 50/50 highway and side streets if you drive it in sport your getting less. It thirsty man. But it cost less to fill up than my wife’s 2.4 liter Camry. I only drive sport mode to take off out of junctions and for passing sometimes.
Tyrone Power you can pass ppl on normal mode ? For having so much torque ?? 24 half and half seems about right I guess , ppl get barely like 22 or less
I just love how you give your opinion regarding the car giving it a consumer taste. Still waiting for this car to come here in the Philippines. Kudos for your review! 👌
Definitely a great car for the money, sedan sales are slowing due to SUV sales in the US, but Honda continues to improve the Accord. IMO, this is the best generation of Accord yet. I have the 2.0T Sport, after more than a year of ownership, I enjoy driving it just as much now as day one. Good to see people making UA-cam videos about the 10th Gen Accord, it really doesn't get enough attention.
It looks great with tinted windows, I still do not know if I want this in your silver color or in blue. I feel like the silver shows the detail of the body more.
10/10 car to be honest, one thing honda’s innovation could have done with the break hold is press the brake all the way down and break hold will activate where are pressing the button just for easier access
BTW, you can add remote start just by purchasing the accord key fob (for EX) which has the remote starter button on it. Of course you have to have it programmed , also. Lots of videos on you tube about that. Just did that for my 2020.
The car is smart. The brake hold works really well. But, if something was to make the car move such as a big car passing by that shakes the ground, the car will go from break hold to automatic e brake. You will then have to unlock it from that point.
What makes me nervous is the Honda sensing in the 2019 version, I have the EX. It keeps a space between you and the car in front of you and if the car in front of you applies the brakes, you will too. My car will approach stopped traffic so quickly and automatically apply the brakes. It works beautifully but there are times I'm going so fast that I don't want to trust that the brakes are going to automatically apply at the last second so I always end up braking on my own. 😄 I just can't trust it. I now realize there's no way that I could relax in a self-driving car.
Just FYI, around the instrument cluster, the lights that change back and forth from green to white represent how your driving is affecting your mpg. Give it a little gas and it starts to turn from green to white, let off the gas and it goes back to green. The greener it is the better your doing for mpg.
I like my 2017 Accord Sport but I do miss what I had prior (Mercedes C300). I miss the comfort of the drive. Suspension is much better than the Honda but I had to go back to something that is reliable. Thought about going with an Audi next but not sure. Now, my '17 Accord didn't come with LED lights and it's the one thing I did change. Much better with LED lights.
Thanks for taking time out ⌚ to do the video! 💯 I am considering on buying a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0t Sport and your review is helping me to solidify it. Thank you kindly! God bless! 😇
I can't stand CVT's they are a crutch for higher mpg's. With the 10 speed I get 28 mpg combo of about 50/50 city and country backroads. Went down to LA a couple of weeks ago didn't go under 80 through the grapevine 350 mile round trip and still got 32 mpg. Plus the 2.0 is just plain quick, Love how it breaks the tires loose at 20 mph you can't do that in a CVT.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
Nice video! I appreciate the different approach. The arm rest and key fob observations might have made my mind up. I was wondering, what is the color called on yours? Also, did you add any options on top of the standard items?
Actually you're better off holding the brake pedal down with your left foot and holding the accelerator down with your right foot when drag racing. This won't work with the brake hold engaged.
I bought the 2L Sport 5 days ago. It pulls and is quicker than the 2017 V6. I’ve blew a few of the 2017’s out on the highway because they speed up as soon as they notice I’m in the newer model. This car has more torque. Can anybody say butt hurt? I’ve always wanted a 2L turbo. It’s quick, solid and handles nice. I’m all about forward thinking. This car has it.
Poor newer Accord owners. They’ll never know the glory of that amazing sounding 3.5 V6, nor stock 5.0 second 0-60 times. Performance has retracted in the new Accord.
Arun Kumar car and Driver says 7.3. I don’t care what elevation or who was driving, that’ll never get down to 5.0. Even the 2.0T only pops a 5.7. The older car was the better car. I’m willing to give you the fact that this car is vastly superior in looks and content and it isn’t even close. Honda could generate a lot of interest in this car and help its struggling sales by dropping in a. V6 or push that turbo to put out 290hp. Honda may pull one over the general public, but hardcore Honda fans have definitely taken notice of the retractions in performance and other key specs in models like the Accord, Pilot, etc.
Large ICE’s days are numbered and people are starting to care less. Even Dodge recently came out and said the future of the Challenger doesn’t have a V8 in it and that they need to look to the future. 1.5 is a nice engine. Tesla’s are smoking the fastest ICE’s on the strip. People are going for looks now and efficiency. Welcome to the future. Let people enjoy what they are happy with.
Tyrone Power you’re all over the map with your comments and I can assure you that when it comes to performance car shoppers they don’t care about efficiency. The bottom line is, the car is gorgeous, but it’s a step down in performance specs. That very trade off did not result in anything noteworthy efficiency wise.
You are a Timex watch in a digital age you are. Coming on here talking about what people are missing out on, people in general don’t care about loud large engines. They want something that looks nice for cheap and isn’t unnecessary. It simply isn’t necessary to have a 3.7 V6. It’s always about saving money, eventually shrinking the engine till it’s partnered with an EV one, then phased out. The efficiency comes with spending less at the pump and the car going a good distance on $30 bucks. I can assure you, people care about this . Any car over 300HP is useless, people also realize this( How fast do you wanna get to the traffic lights? ) that’s why they have been buying cross overs in their droves in the US. Nobody cares if you are nostalgic to the roar of an ICE and almost no one will care about this in 20 years. The smaller 1.5 engine is justified. Good riddance to the unnecessary engines.
I recently bought an Accord Sport 1.5t CVT and you need to know that the seats are "vinyl" and cloth. No biggie (leather) to me, the vinyl is nice, looks like leather, and actually should hold up very well. BTW: if you don't believe me.... stop by any car interior shop and they'll set you straight. Thanks.
I have the 2019 EX version and because I'm old school I find it hard to relinquish some of my control over to the car, even though I know it's likely not to fail me. So everywhere I drive, it's a back and forth dance between my skill as a driver and a moment here in there where I allow the car to do something that I've done countless times on my own. Each time I hold my breath slightly and hope it doesn't fail me. How exciting it is to lock onto the car in front of me and know that if that car where to suddenly brake, my car would apply the brakes as well. We are all distracted drivers, a moment here, a moment there when you are looking somewhere other than straight ahead. This safety-net feature is by far the most impressive to me. I'm not sure how much of this was available on the 2018 models.
Gauge cluster.. I HATE that the gas gauge does not have a needle.... IT is a THOUSAND times easier to read a gauge with a needle "AT A GLANCE" those little lights... you will have to take your eyes off the road to ACUTALLY LOOK FOR THEM.. and READ THEM... PLEASE BRING BACK THE NEEDLES
Hey Paul, have you had any issues with your hood rattling when in drive, at an idle? I’ve heard complains regarding the 2018 Accord Sport doing so, and not sure if it’s common or if they’re lemons..
I have a 2020 EX-L. I turned off that automatic high beam shit. Because it's hella dark where I live but there's always some random MF coming or going down the road and the lights just constantly go on and off. So I just turn them on or off manually.
Do you know that if you buy a key fob for the LX model and have it programmed for your 2018 or 2018 Sport model it will have auto start. The Sport model has it, there just isn't a button for it on the key fob.
Cuberittt FYI - they also have a way to program the original fob. Once it’s programmed you just push the lock button 3x and it starts. There is a you tube video showing a company called extreme audio that does it.
For everyone wanting to install the Remote Starter on the Sport 1.5 without installing an Aftermarket one.. take a look at my video on how just with a KeyFob from a Sport 2.0 you can have it! ua-cam.com/video/4UzabwxCus8/v-deo.html
got the same care seen another post that if u get the oem key for the 2018 ex model with auto start if u get it programmed your car will automatically have auto start apparently its built in but the dealership wont let u know they will try to get over on you to get u to pay for that i just ordered the oem remote with auto start going to get it programmed this week n have auto start for a fraction of the cost.
I just bought the 1.5 turbo Honda Accord 2021. The 1.5 turbo had enough power and great acceleration for me. The car is comfortable and spacious and it looks good.
I just purchased this car the same color as yours and I love it. I most love the look of the vehicle and the comfort of the seats but all things you mentioned are my favorites as well. The salesman at my local Honda dealership did a great job explaining all features and that made my buying decision for me. Oh and don't forget the lane keeping assist and lane departure are awesome as well.
Hi man I’m considering to buy the exact same car at around 80k to 100k mile. I’d appreciate if you can share your experience over the year with the car. Thanks
The fact that Honda did not include the turbo boost gauge on the 2.0T 6MT is unreal. There's an ECON button and you'd think that when it was turned off, that it would default into sport mode. Why would I want a turbo boost gauge in the first place ? I didn't buy a 2.0T to be economical. Even in the future, nothing works #SpaceBalls
My wife and I want a Sport as well but sadly you can't get it equipped with SiriusXM radio unless you get a 30k 2.0 Sport or a 28k EX model....That and the 19" wheels and really thin tires make alot of road noise...
A question for all you owners. Does this Accord have a lot of interior vibrations at idle? I really like this car but we have a 2017 sport at my job and the whole car vibrates at idle and it’s so annoying. So I’m not sure if this new engine causes the same issue
How did you get the tachometer and fuel range on display at the same time? I have an EX-L and I either get one or the other but can't have both at the same time.
What made you get this over the civic? And then at that point why the 1.5T over the 2.0T? Prospective buyer myself - great video. This would be my first new car. Why did you get this car overall? Commuter, family, space?
Emilio Sánchez I bought this car for the reliability gas mileage and size civic is too small 1.5 has plenty of power if I want my car to be really fast I’ll buy a car that’s supposed to be fast
I look for small little things when I buy a car, the wiper delay feature has to have a nice long delay 30-45 second sweeps? My toyota doesn't delay long enough..also sun visor extensions, backseat dome lights, sliding adjustable center armrest. 1 feature I don't find on cars is being able to leave the car running in Park,,and I can get out of the car and lock the door with the remote. Some cars for example Mercedes Benz and the Camry, you can't leave the car run and lock the doors with the remote. You must use a key blade to lock the door, pain in the ass. For instance if you want to run into the store briefly and you want to leave the car run ...How does this work with this Honda?. 1 other thing... when you're driving with the car in manual shifting mode and you're approaching Redline will the car upshift or will it stay in the gear you have selected? Thanks.
The One thing that I love about my Honda is that IT IS A HONDA !! 😉😁

SharpElite1991 I agree. Relying on DA constantly like that in traffic is asking for it and is stupid.
I did that with my wife in the car and she freaked out. Best laugh ever.

I have the 2018 Accord Sport 1.5 and tried the unlock for 3 seconds and my windows did nothing? I think it might be on higher level trims?
Cogito Ergo Zoom - Well, could be for the Accords. I have a 2018 CR-V LX and it works for mine. Ask your dealer about it.
Cogito Ergo Zoom should work on all trims. You have to press (doors unlock), release, then you press and hold (all windows will come down)
Thanks, I'll try that.

In Canadian models, LX trim does not have LED in hi beam. I replaced the halogen bulbs with Silvana LED for $120. The head lights are excellent.

That’s not true. They are almost dead even . V6vs 2.0. Okay to like the v6 better cause you have one but 2.0 is very torquey.
#1 dislike is the small fuel tank
Great video! i like your honest review on this car. Question: if you had to do it again, would you buy the Touring or by the Sport model again?
Sport. Iike the chrome nose better and the rims better
I’m literally sitting in mine right now!!! I love my car so much!
2018 Honda Accord Sport, 3,072 miles
Great video, keep up the great work.
My favorite feature from your video was.... you were listening to Christian Music (fear is a liar). Love the car too but Love the Lord the most!
Amen, brother. Love that song, too. Let your fire fall, cast out all my fear. Let your fire fall, your love is all I feel.
I want the 2.0 sport so badddddddd. I can't wait until Acura release the type s awd
For everyone wanting to install the Remote Starter on the Sport 1.5 without installing an Aftermarket one.. take a look at my video on how just with a KeyFob from a Sport 2.0 you can have it!

Holy moly! 3000 miles in a month! I haven't hit 3000 miles yet on my car and I've had it 8 months.
John Labus I know right
I hit over 10k less than 8 months 😂
How many miles so far??
How to turn off the daytime running lights on a 2018/2019 Honda Accord without the emergency break stick
Hey Does Anyone Know How To Change The Right Side Of The Gage Cluster . Every time I Turn My Car On It’s Dark
got the same care seen another post that if u get the oem key for the 2018 ex model with auto start if u get it programmed your car will automatically have auto start apparently its built in but the dealership wont let u know they will try to get over on you to get u to pay for that i just ordered the oem remote with auto start going to get it programmed this week n have auto start for a fraction of the cost.
I love my 2019 Honda accord.
I just bought the 1.5 turbo Honda Accord 2021. The 1.5 turbo had enough power and great acceleration for me. The car is comfortable and spacious and it looks good.
Same here! The 1.5t is the perfect balance of power & fuel efficiency. I purchased the Sport SE in Platinum White.
I got 2021 in black. Wish I would have gotten white now
How fast can the 1.5 go compared to the V4 2017
Definitely touch on a lot of thing's i like about this car to love my new honda...
Great video. Great Song choice (radio). Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. God bless you bro🙏
Great review Paul. Is the armrest extendable ?
T Howell thanks. No.
pdakmiller cheers
Does your accord have keyless entry and blind sport monitoring?
Not this one. It my new one does!
@@PDAKEHD gotit
Try the brake hold with a manual transmission.
I’m glad I bought a coupe before they discontinued it!
I will buy accord 2018 soon so im very exited 😍
Ammar Janahi Mohammed was a pedophile. I'm drawing a picture of him now.
Nice video but dude the CVT killed the deal for me. I am presently looking for a used Honda v6. If not Toyota is a close 2nd
Thanks
Hey, Have you had your coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid changed yet? If so, at what mileage?
Just bought one the same color last week. Going to tint the windows ASAP.. Probably doing the 20% like you. Looks great. And I love this car too!!
The best car for the money I love my 2020 Honda 1.5 👍🏼
What setting is the left side display on to show tach and mpg etc. Mine is an 2019 sport and just shows one or the other not both???
My wife and I want a Sport as well but sadly you can't get it equipped with SiriusXM radio unless you get a 30k 2.0 Sport or a 28k EX model....That and the 19" wheels and really thin tires make alot of road noise...
Get the Sirius XM app on your phone and subscribe to it. It'll work on the car.
A question for all you owners. Does this Accord have a lot of interior vibrations at idle? I really like this car but we have a 2017 sport at my job and the whole car vibrates at idle and it’s so annoying. So I’m not sure if this new engine causes the same issue
Shawn Childs nope
I'm getting this car next week ... In silver 2.0 accord ... Thanks for your feedback ...
This is the Honda sports I’m about to get been thinking about it for years now
One sexy ass car
How did you get the tachometer and fuel range on display at the same time? I have an EX-L and I either get one or the other but can't have both at the same time.
I wish he answered this I would like to do the same.
I had an Civic ext and yesterday I traded in for a 2019 accord sport blue and I am in love
I got a blue one a few months ago to.
How do you put the parking sensors back on for parking use? They work for the assist but not parking
Anybody know if is possible to add keyless entry to a 2018 Honda Accord?
I always thought these cars were over $40,000 but dealers are offering them for under 30k ???
yep. i only paid 23900
Stephen Curry got mine for 23K also... winning...lol
@@necoledickey from what state u got it? In n.j its 25400$ include taxes nd tags
AMRINDER SINGH Louisiana...
Wow that’s cheaper than mines. I paid 28 but with 2.0L and a few extras added
Thanks.
Is 59k miles a lot of miles for this type of car 2018 Honda Accord sport ?
I don’t think so. These cars are meant to be driven a lot.
So your car still treating you good after 3yrs? Just bought a 2021 with the 1.5t, and it's so smooth. CVT transmissions are smooth.
Yes. However I got a 2021 sport special edition last year. Best car for the money.
So sad my 2018 acura TLX doesnt have any of these features and i paid $55,000 for that car.......why?
Wow big L
Why wouldn’t a 55,000 have any of those features 🤦🏽♀️
Nice video man
Do you like how the oil mixes in with the gas And it has oil distribution
Thank you after this video I'm 💯 convinced to buy one
