Purchased a refrigerator 3 years ago and like a lot of people who were part of the class action lawsuit our refrigerator stopped working. 3 years? That is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot and will not ever recommend LG products.
I’m right there with you bro. I loved my LG door in door even though it failed twice within the first 10 months. It lasted 6 years then it broke down again. The parts are covered (as long as it’s just the compressor and I would still hav o pay almost $500 to repair it. I figure it’ll just breakdown again and for a hot second I considered buying the same fridge. After coming to my senses I vowed never to buy another LG and go through that mess again. I love my new Bosch!
I am right there with you. I will never buy an LG again. After the compressor stopped working after 3 years, now the condensor fan and control panel are fried. Just a piece junk. Not worth the constant repairs.
who needs to view inside their refrigerator without opening the door? this feature is so confusing to me. If you're going to look inside the refrigerator for something, aren't you just going to open the door to retrieve it in the end anyway? So either way you're opening the door... seems like such a gimmick. I also wonder what the energy hit is with glass vs. a fully insulated door...
I don’t disagree. Most of the time I wouldn’t want people to be able to look in my fridge by tapping on the glass. As far as energy there is not much difference as this fridge is still very energy efficient.
You'd think for the money they get for these things they'd at least put stainless steel on the sides so they don't look unfinished. After all they are stand alone fridges.
Finally, somebody said it!! Looking at the GE Cafe fridge in white with black sides?? Why? How hard would it have been to put white sides? Good grief. 🤔
We just got a new Frigidaire 2750 model and the fan(s) seem to run 23-24 hours a day. Fridge temp set at 36 and freezer at 4 degrees and set up 3 inches from back wall and on sides. I understand that newer models compressors run much more often at lower speeds to save energy but having the fan(s) run constantly uses energy and will make them wear out soon. We will see the truth when our electric bill comes as we are in Florida so have not used any Heat or A/C all month... Scott
Hi Scott! We are sorry to hear about this. We recommend hiring a handyman to come and look at it. You could also consult your user's manual or try calling customer service to see if anyone else has dealt with this issue before. We hope you are able to figure out this problem. Please let us know how it goes!
I know its a year too late, check to make sure there is ventilation towards the back of the unit. Nothing is blocking the vents etc... Pull the unit out and see the back to make sure no bags or flat boxes that fell into the back. My mom used to stick tons of boxes and others into the back of the unit causing no ventilation at all. tons of noise.
Last year, I bought an LG refrigerator, which always made a lot of noise. Now We replaced the CAFE. Although it was more than 1400💲more ,it was worth it
The water dispenser and ice cube maker is a thing of the past. I spoke to a homeowner that took a vacation and the hookup for the water dispenser burst and flooded their home. They'll never buy another water dispenser fridge again. Not only that the filters are expensive and a pain in the butt when they have to constantly be changed. I've got a water dispenser in my fridge from when I purchased the home 4 years ago and I've never used it. I never use the ice cube maker either.

So the top two fridges have notorious compressor problems that cannot be serviced by anyone who doesn't carry an LG compressor jig, and the other one who has flex zone board issues, ice maker over freezing, and evap panel issues. STAY AWAY FROM LG AND SAMSUNG THEY ARE GARBAGE. I own 2 appliance repair companies and these are hands down the WORST things you can buy, no kinks have been fixed.
Sam - Thanks for pointing that out. We should rename out video. 3 coolest refrigerators and not 3 best refrigerators as this was not a video about dependability, but features. As for dependability you would need to speak with a servicer. We have had some issues with LG in the past but not on this model.
If I want something samsung I'll buy their top notch tv's and 4k players. Not an appliance which is a totally different avenue than tech. I've heard nothing but horrible things about these fridges. And rightfully so. You don't ask an auto mechanic to pave your driveway.
I had soo many problems with my lg. The technicians came 10 times, yet the refrigerator could not be fixed. Even after they replaced it with a new one, I still had the same problem.

As I search for a fridge 4x the cost of my first car...I can't help but be confounded by back led wall light (which would make it harder to see things), glass doors so the first smack and it shatters like an iphone vs a ding, windows to a fridge...where a shelves are placed in front of it so you can't actually see inside the fridge once you put something in it, and wifi to tell me if someone left the door open. Next they'll have labels on it as "cold and colder" so people understand which is a fridge or a freezer. Gimmicky to try and justify ridiculous prices. And did I mention they don't usually even last 10 years?
see it depends on the person. I personally hate stainless steel, it is a pain to keep clean and fingerprint free. I also hate door handles. however many people enjoy those things. in the end it comes down to preferences. most peoples appliances not lasting long either is a immediate defect or due to poor maintenance by the owner.
Whirlpool Customer support does not exist. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL. When the product doesnt work. No technicians to help. They dont show up for appointments. Leaving me with a $800 paperweight that should be a refridgerator. Hours on hold trying to get a hold of customer service who cant help you at all! so disappointing. will never buy again!

I find french door fridges look nice but they are too small for our family especially when you have large bottles of juice, pop, bags of milk and containers condiments etc... Everyone I have talked to feel the same way.
delightfulb everyone has their own opinion. Many people who love the French door style love it because they access the fridge so much more often than the freezer and having it up night is a huge plus.
I have 2 French door refrigerator my Samsung is counter depth one my new one doesn’t have the depth like my old one dose my old one has more depth and it’s a real French door refrigerator and it fits so much more than my new one but if I get a small freezer when my old one dies I can use the bottom as a refrigerator so then I can make up for space I do love my Samsung haven’t had any issues
The GE café glass is super elegant and easy to clean.

Hi Matt, what new refrigerator did you end up getting and do you like it?
Café appliances are stunning
Aren't they?! We love the gold+white combo.

How can anyone who is familiar with these appliances recommend a Samsung refrigerator, they now have zero credibility
Just got the cafe fridge it is so cool. Many amazing features!
It really is so COOL!
The best refrigerator is Bosh, it’s a little pricey but worth it !!!🤷♂️

Biggest "wow" factor for me were the prices. Outta my snackbracket :(

Last year LG has some major issues with their compressors. Bad experience for so many. As of now they seem to have fixed them.

LMFAO hahaha
does dridges with ice makers and water dispensers need plumbing?
edm4r all they need to have is a water source. There is nothing required other than that.

Nothing so far rivals Mitsubishi 5 compartment
That is a great fridge! We are so glad you've found something you love.
where do you buy that here in the states?
Do they make a french door that doesnt have door in door but has insta view , like to see in the fridge
I don't believe they do. I sell appliances and every LG fridge I've seen that has installed has door-in-door along with it.
LG does not make an InstaView door without the Door-in-door option.
Commercial glass front refrigerators are great but pricey.
Why is no one talking about haeir thermocool
