- All the Disneyland rides kept breaking on our trip to Disneyland, California. I had a girl's day with my sister at Disneyland, Anaheim, California. Every ride kept breaking down on us. some people might think seeing behind-the-curtain takes the magic away... but the ride malfunctioning makes it even _more_ haunted and eerie, i reckon - especially with some sound effects still going😮😊😂

The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride at Disney. Sucks you got stuck on these rides. But better stuck there than in traffic in LA right? Have a great upcoming weekend.
My too. We ended up back on the Haunted Mansion and got all the way through.
Aw! My favorite ride since childhood! We ALWAYS get the same ghost at the end. We've never gotten stuck in all the years we've been going to Disneyland though! Wild walking through backwards!😂

@ColoradoMartini Thanks! Was good seeing you guys too! I'm hopefully coming back soon. Glad you got back on later that day! Remember when there was a slow season for tourists at Disneyland? We always used to go in November or January ect during the week when there were no lines and you could walk right on. From what I hear, there's really no 'slow seasons' anymore. That's too bad. I still love it there though! Many happy memories with my parents and family.😊
This is exactly why I do not ride those big roller coasters anymore. I couldn't imagine needed to walk down from the top of one of those things... and if memory recalls, the Haunted Mansion stopped on us too at the exact same place when we went on it years ago... but, it eventually started back up again. Wow... Kind of cool you got to walk through the haunted mansion... wow, all of those break downs... I think Mickey needs to hire more mechanics or something. :) Great to see you again.

Got stuck on the one in Orlando once, with our Doombuggy parked next to an animatronic which jumped out of the ground and screamed every few seconds. If the ride had not started back when it did, I would've made the news 😁

Stinks that a lot of the rides kept breaking down for you two but I gotta say pretty cool to see it all with the lights on haha 😂 especially with the music off but all the background ambient noises still happening.

Well at least you are in air conditioning. That ride must be 50 years old. I was there about 1 year ago and they were closed for reno.

Oh no! I hate when rides break down. Haunted mansion sure does look different with the lights on lol. Not near as creepy 😂 funny to see things “hanging” that typically look floating LOL. Oh wow a royal escort out haha. And Indiana Jones broke down too? Oh no! Sorry that happened! I miss disneyland so much, but we were so lucky that none of the rides broke down while we were there. Thanks for sharing this awesome and rare experience with us! As a Disney nerd I love seeing the dark rides with the lights on😂 lol! 💕

That was bonkers! I've only been to Disney once and I was three. However, I remember that the car I was in on the Dumbo ride had a broken nose!
I remember riding Dumbo when I was young too. So fun
Oh no!! Kinda ruins the 'magic' getting stuck and having the lights on. When I took my 2 youngest to DL it was early fall and they were getting ready for Halloween, so the mansion was closed. I feel there should be some kind of price cut, or free meal for when they have these glitches. This was crazy though! Disney was having a real bad day!

Crazy that both those rides got stuck. We got stuck on a ride one at Universal once.

I was on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride..yrs ago.. it broke down and we were escorted out.. That was trippy seeing all of the behind the scenes effects.

Its not as scary with the lights on and seeing the tricks behind the curtain takes the surprise away imo lol. There are days like that when nothing works. But still it looks like you all had a great bonding time.

One of the biggest fears of going to a theme park is having a ride break down!...At least this one wasn't several stories high.
Especially since it was like $200 for each of us
Wow! Pirates broke and Temple of Doom!? Those are my top favorites! What's happening to Disneyland lol! I grew up there and remember the details of those rides as I've been on hundreds of times, but haven't been in quite a long time. Maybe we'll wait a bit longer to avoid evacuation!😂😂😂

Oh no! It's definitely something you should try! Then again, I grew up close by and used to go often before I was on the opposite coast.😊 Haunted Mansion has been a favorite since I can remember. The imagination put into the rides is what always made it fun!

Indiana jones and the temple of the forbidden eye. The ride is its own story.
