      When this movie was released, the Internet was in its infancy and still a novelty to many. Many well-known, large corporations didn't even have websites. If you wanted information on them, you had to do it the old-fashioned way by looking them up in the Yellow Pages or calling them on the phone and asking questions.

      @@TheAnantaSesa That's debatable. I definitely enjoyed it more but I think there's some incredibly creative and talented musicians around these days. I think our species just absorbs the culture and media from when we were young and gets attached to it as "the best". That's why you get so many people in their 50s-60s who hated the music from when our generation was young and only liked bands like the Beatles, the Stones, or Sabbath, or whoever. It's all subjective in the end.

    • @TheAnantaSesa
      @TheAnantaSesa 4 роки тому

      Blind Mown; that's very likely true. And I agree there IS some good modern music. I even like some classic rock from my parents' time. Never could get into the Beatles though.
      However r&b and hip hop were around in my youth and I never cared for them then and it just seems like that's all the radio plays in my area anymore. I've gotta get together a playlist of mp3s to feed into the stereo line input when I carpool. 'Til then I suffer to 40 crap.
      I think it's all bc of satellite radio, 3g music apps, hi capacity data storage for mp3s, and an even dumber class of music buyers.

    Wow... I love this so much. Makes me real emotional. I don't know what the judgment is about but to me it embodies all the themes from the late 90s to the early 00s. it just brings back so many good memories from that Era. And it's not only nostalgic reasons. I recovered many of my childhood movies recently and I still love them the same. If you purposefully dig then of course you probably not going to like it as much, like finding out how a magic trick is done, but if you watch it for what it is, you'll love it. Those times were so simple and beautiful. Makes me so sad..

      When Fox animation (Don Bluth) closed, i think some of the animators moved to Dreamworks, that is probably why some of the style in the humans might be similar. Fox pulled the plug of this studio in the middle of production. The reason might be that the costs went overboard, but also Disney’s box office revenue started to decline after The Lion King, and the other studios that were dabbling on animation got cold feet after those news.

    i've never even seen this movie (god i want to though) but something about the footage and the song used just made me DROWN in weird, wistful nostalgia. it's corny as hell, but reminded me of a more innocent time. mostly because my mom blared stuff like creed almost 24/7 when i was like 8 years old but still. this was the weirdest reaction ive ever had to a film i have yet to even see.

    Yes! I finally found it! I remember watching this movie as a kid and I could not remember the title. All I could remember was that there were blue alien space ships and there was a guy that looked similar to the guy in Atlantis: The Lost Empire

    Titan A.E. will be the best children's animated classic since An American Tail: The Movie. Just like Flash Gordon and Barbarella meets Star Trek in that animated flim of 2000's and today.

      Same with me! I even bought the soundtrack for that song, only to find out that it didn’t actually make it in to the original soundtrack 😂 . of course if you Google the soundtrack now it says it’s on there but if you look up the album it’s still missing.

    It’s those movies I’ve heard forever and wanted to see it, regardless if it’s good or bad. Finally saw it. Has a better potential as a series. The universe they created is vast to explore and have relationship grow. While the animation and CGI is outdated so to speak. I think it’s those film of its time that tried to push it and I appreciate. I feel like it could be remade as an animated series.
