I keep trying to explain to people that this movie really exists and wasn't a childhood fever dream I had once. It's insanely good and not well known enough
That might be my case! I remember some things which were similar to scenes in this movie but I'm not 100% sure. I always used to think it was something similar to Treasure Planet. Like the small golden ball I had in my mind could've easily been the ring and I always remember a purple room with someone laying down. There's a lot of purple in this movie so could be.
Got the DVD since it came out, I was 4 then lol, can't wait to show my kids these gems, like this, treasure planet, final fantasy spirts within, gunna be a few years yet but once they're old enough. Very glad i saved all these movies.
I was hearing the Creed Higher song in my head and I was like there was an animated movie from 1999 or 2000 that had this as their trailer song which brought me back here all the way from 2022
I'll never forget coming home from school, and my dad telling me that he recorded a movie for me to watch. This movie kicked ass as a kid. I've never heard about it since then.
I must say being an 8 year old boy in 2000 was AMAZING… titan AE, The Lord of the Rings and The Phantom Menace (even though that one was actually not great)…. The memories I have of that time are incredible
POV: It's 1999 you're walking into the movie theatre you see this poster, you go into the movie, you see this trailer...creeds playing...no worries at all
Thank you, so many of the copies of this trailer are such low definition that they're almost unwatchable. This one does justice to the frankly beautiful animation style used in this movie.
I only saw this film a few days ago and it is already one of my favourite animated films I've ever seen, which also makes this one of the best films I have ever seen, because I prefer animation more than live-action. The animation is gorgeous to look at(besides the Drej and on planet bob)the characters are cool, it has an interesting post-apocalyptic world and having an *AWESOME* soundtrack.
I was 16 when this movie came out. I'll be 41 this fall. Life really does go by so fast and you don't even realize it until you turn around and suddenly you're middle aged.
Might’ve been more like 20 it’s only with advent of movies like spiderverse mutant mayhem and transformers one that that the animated action genre is finding its footing again on the big screen
I like this movie. I remember back a couple of years after it was released, my environmental science club in high school had an all-night movie party in the school's planetarium, and we watched both The Iron Giant and this film projected in the dome. It was awesome, but the reason this movie tanked at the box office is because, before it came out, there was first a shorter, simpler trailer of the Earth being swarmed by alien ships and young Cale being evacuated by his Dad, then the Earth's destruction and the title reveal. Then this trailer, and from both trailers, it was impossible to tell who the movie's intended target audience was. Was it a kids' movie, a teen movie, or a more adult movie? It also didn't look like anything standout, and compared with other similar plotted sci-fi films, it isn't that distinct either. It's still good, I have it in my DVD collection at home, and I still like it, but it's very hard to assess whether this seems like it is a movie worth seeing or taking the family to see from the trailer(s) alone, and that hurt it massively. The movie, I think, is mostly for kids just entering the teen years (just emerging from the 'tween' stage, who would be excited to go see a sci-fi movie that's a bit alt-rock and rougher, and a bit further into the teen years), and if it had been clear that that's who it was for, it would've probably done much better.
My dad rented this once back when it came out. Dummy didn't know it was animated. Even though he got it out of the KIDS section. And that was back in the day of VHS
Thanks for putting this out there.. This was one of the first ever computer generated anime films. And its really good imho♡ One of the childhood favourites for sure ^^, Cheers m8 🌠
Announcer: From the creators of Anastasia, An American Tail and The Land Before Time, Matt Damon, Bill Pullman, John Leguizamo, Nathan Lane, Janeane Garofalo and Drew Barrymore
I remember watching this when I was a kid and I've completely forgotten the name up until now when I searched 'animated movie with blue aliens' on Google lmao
Iron giant Anastasia Titan ae 9 Sinbad legend of 7 seas El dorado Emperors new groove Spirit stallion of the cimarron Atlantis lost empire Treasure planet Tron legacy All of these underrated films deserved more recognition and box office money
i remember watching this when i was VERY young im 19 now i was thinking abt this movie but forgot the name so i looked it up an found it an im gonna be watching it again for the first time in about 10 years
Real Gen X and Gen Y... we'll tell you this story is so underrated just like the Iron Giant.... I know...Mass Effect was inspired by Titan A.E. a sci fi where where humans enter the galactic realm except we're not the apex species 😢
This movie was amazing especially for it's time not only that but it was the last movie I got to watch with my dad so this movie holds a lot of memories for me
This movie was robbed of being a box office explosion! The animation alone shits on just about anything made today, great story and OMG the fucking cast bro, 10/10 recommend for everyone to watch this, and if you weren't rocking to that song you are lying to yourself lol.
How the hell have I not heard of this movie as kid⁉️ I LITERALLY DID NOT KNOW this existed until it was mentioned in a youtube video I was watching about animated movies. And just outta curiosity, how good is “Titan A.E.”?
Joss Whedon (one of the writers of the film) was planning to make Titan AE a live action movie, but 20th Century Studios (called 20th Century Fox at the time), gave the script to Don Bluth (the same mind behind An American Tail, The Land Before Time and All Dogs Go to Heaven) to make it into an animated film after the box office success of Anastasia.
I was in 3rd grade when this came out. I will never ever forget this movie, as they said the world will be ending in the year 2000, and this thing came tf out. Little me was scared as hell ffs. But here we are in 2023! lmao
🙋 I would like to see Titan AE, Atlantis the Lost empire and treasure planet as a live action movie, now if this would ever happen who knows for sure. I bet it would be cool though
If they include the background story for the "Evil" guys (forgot the name) that would actualy be cool. Just don't redo it on a 1:1 basis. I found the enemys more interesting in the book.
I’ve been trying to find this movie for the longest time!!! I have fond memories of it but I always thought I was thinking of Treasure Island and I got the two mixed up. So glad I found it again after so long since my dad gave it to me on vhs

None of the main characters speak or introduce themselves at all, except for some grunts or screams, and it's just really confusing as to why you would want to see this movie except for something to keep your kids busy on the weekend, or because you are really interested in animation and sci-fi.

That’s exact how I felt
I still get Goosebumps from this trailer.
I wasn’t the only one!!

Alternative rock and spaceship sounds. This is the most 2000s thing I’ve ever seen!

@@princealbertz dude I remember watching this as a kid I'm 18 now but holy haha forgotten memory.
This movie deserved so much more recognition than it received. I keep praying for the day that it gets that recognition.
20 years too late for that.
@@allarian8726 it's referred to as a cult classic when a movie reaches popularity sometime after it's been released
I have just discovered this movie by reading the comments to the Bionicle: Mask of Light trailer here on YT. I will watch it.
its such an amazing movie and deserved way more popularity then it had
Literally watched this in theaters for Kindergarten. Never forget it
I'll never forget coming home from school, and my dad telling me that he recorded a movie for me to watch. This movie kicked ass as a kid. I've never heard about it since then.
This gave me absolute chills as a nine-year-old and left me speechless.
Yeah, see, when I was nine, the movie didn't capture my attention. I have more more appreciation for it now.
Same I was scared every time the trailer came on because I thought the earth was really being invaded lol, I was also 8 or 9 at the time.

That ice field scene with 2 SVS 25-31 CS+ subwoofers is insane. Still reference material to this day.
I'm sad I missed out on this as a kid. I loved sci-fi movies like Teasure Planet and Final Fantasy The Spirits Within.
It's not like they have an expiration date. You can still watch it.
Sadly the 3 failed at box office but they are great movies
This just unlocked memory's I've forgotten, thank man :)

They need to release this on 4K Blu-ray with Dolby atmos

This is the best movie trailer of all time, never saw something like this in my life
Lmfao, I forgot we had a day an age where every single movie, tv show, trailer, anything.......had Creed playing in the background.
Don Bluth is an amazing animation director...Titan AE, The Land before Time, All Dogs go to Heaven, An American Tail... classics
Creed's music was stuck in my head thanks to this trailer lol man good times
Seeing this as a 13 year old in 2000 was a time I’ll never forget.

Bro this movie when i was little was my fav 90s rock and adventure with a little edge for kids
They should make a live action and make the soundtracks to this be everything early 2000s ❤
Saw it in theaters! 🤘
A live action remake might actually be in development according to some sources. Can't wait to find out if the rumors are true this time around.
The use of Creed in this trailer kick started my love for butt rock
