This is one of the best trailers ever made. Having seen the movie, it perfectly captures the tone and style without spoiling anything! Go see this movie! It's as charming as you'd expect!
dont try to critique a movie again. This trailer speaks loudly and bold, having not seen the movie, i know the premise of it and can tell its a great movie.
Brandon Bitsilli All he said was that it didn't spoil anything. A good movie trailer sets up the premise, but doesn't spoil any of the major twists/climaxes. I haven't seen the film, so I wouldn't know whether that was true or not for this trailer, but from the reviews I've seen, it seems to follow that aforementioned rule.
The people who animated this movie have a certain way of doing claymation, you can see it in Fantastic Mr. Fox and all the other movie's they've produced in this style
Intresting is, it's a US-German Co-Production. The miniture settings were created by Simon Weisse( set-designer for The adventure of Baron Münchhausen, Neverending Story 2 and 3 to call a view) in the Babelsberger Studios
Simmons Productions agreed. There is way too much originality to even keep up with. But lots of people only know what’s playing at the theatre...and have no idea that’s often the very least interesting and novel creations happening right now.
FirmGrip DownWithTheShip I work at a movie theater and see constant ads and promotion for original movies. Also, when you go see an A24 movie or an independently made film, the trailers before it are for other original, independent films that don't have the advertising budget to have 20 different tv spots, a billboard ad, a super bowl ad, 6 different posters, and 3 different trailers. When people complain about there being "no original movies," they're not necessarily wrong, but they truly don't care enough to make effort to look for original movies. Same applies to music and books. Sorry for getting kinda ranty/preachy lmao
Why I want to see this: 1) Dogs 2) The animation 3) These people made The Fantastic Mr. Fox which is one of my favorite movies and I'd trust them with my life if I needed to.

For nearly 25 years the Coen Brothers were my favourite filmmakers. And I still love their work very much, but in the last five years maybe, certainly since The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson has claimed top spot. His movies are thrilling, so beautiful they look almost edible, they're funny, poignant, thoroughly original and, most crucially I think, they are largely underpinned by the idea that, as intensely flawed as we are, a capacity exists still for kindness.
Just saw this movie in theaters today and I can safely say. It is AMAZING. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the animation, the atmosphere... I highly recommend it.
It's rare that we see an animated film shine this much with it's creative story, an amazing concept, fantastic cast and gorgeous animation. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius.

This trailer fully captures Wes Anderson's extraordinary style, from the credits to the music (especially the song that starts @1:17). The trailer for Fantastic Mr. Fox didn't portray the essence of the film at all, which I feel is a big reason why it didn't become a box office hit. It was generic and cheesy. But this trailer--I honestly watch it at least once a day. There's just something quite dynamic about it. I hope it turns out to be as good as Fantastic Mr. Fox! And good God, what a cast!

1:04 It's funny how Tracy, the girl with the afro, actually says "dammit" in this scene in the movie, and they brought it down to "darnit" to appeal to more kids (even though this movie is PG-13.) It's also interesting when you consider that she, a highschool student, has a crush on a twelve year old boy.
I watched this recently and really loved it. So cute and quirky. I also admire that even though it has cats vs dogs themes to it at parts, cats aren’t portrayed as evil like in a lot of films such as this, in fact they don’t talk at all, or play a huge part which leaves you to interpret what their part really is in the big picture. This is probably a totally trivial thing to think about but I really liked it because as someone who likes both cats and dogs I was getting tired of seeing films where cats are shown as antagonistic and dogs as precious angels. Instead of having cats be the great evil, it’s an evil, cat-loving human man that is the dogs’ enemy. I love it:
I found it to be the most imaginative movie i've ever seen. If there was no Wes Anderson imagination there is no other substitute getting a film like this.
Saw the movie, It's like I was cast under a spell. As expected from Wes Anderson, it was humorous, adorable and emotional. I loved the Japanese culture atmosphere.
Thank you for a new and visually creative movie. I was so sick of the reboots and remakes flooding the theaters. It's mind numbing. So yeah, thanks again.
Remind anyone of Fantastic Mr. Fox? Edit- it’s obviously the same director, you don’t need to tell me, I am just a fan of Fantastic Mr.Fox so I am excited for this movie
I'm a cinephile and I watch most movies ... So far, "Isle of Dogs" and "Death of Stalin" have been my favorite movies of 2018. The Isle of Dogs is a simple story, but with lots of unpredictable plot twists so it's fun for the viewer. The humor is silly with dark undertones for cynical adults ... Isle of Dogs is unique, and as a cinephile, I appreciate unique stories from talented directors.
While watching him looking for his dog, I realized *you have dogs right there at your side!* But no I understand, you love that dog and he's yours. Guess I'll watch the whole movie to see what happens.

The song at 1:07 is "I Won't Hurt You" by The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band
Thank you!
thank you......, just, thank you
thank you so much I love this song
The vocals are different tho
1:04 It's funny how Tracy, the girl with the afro, actually says "dammit" in this scene in the movie, and they brought it down to "darnit" to appeal to more kids (even though this movie is PG-13.)
It's also interesting when you consider that she, a highschool student, has a crush on a twelve year old boy.
Tbf, a twelve year old is only two years from high school.
Lessgoooo
With all the shitty reboots and super hero movies saturating cinema...Wes gives me hope. I can't flipping wait for this.
Mr Rogan Josh their are only 5 or 6 superhero movies a year dude.
Dude thats a lot 2 hours long 2 times 6 twelve hours of super hero movie half a day That alot
Mr Rogan Josh then i shouldn't tell you about the Royal 2nenbaums where they Tenenbaum family all get super powers and make a team of heroes.
Yeah, but Marvel is amazing...
Oh no, 5 superhero movies a year. There are genres with way more films yearly.
Whatever Wes makes, Dan watches.
Who is Dan?
Fantastic Mr. Fox was a great film, I can’t wait to see this.
The Daily Dan at first I thought it was a sequel but either way I'm seeing it
The Daily Dan yeah i was thinking of that movie too
What us that fantastic!
Me Too
The Daily Dan agreed
We need more original fresh ideas like this
I watched this recently and really loved it. I love it:
This animatio style used to creep me out when I was a kid. Now, i freakin' love it.
Lmao me too!! Finally someone knows what im taking about!
Just saw it and its even better than i hoped.
bearpickle Same.
eeeeek cant wait to go tomorrow
I went, It was da Best
I found it to be the most imaginative movie i've ever seen. If there was no Wes Anderson imagination there is no other substitute getting a film like this.
Same. Loved every minute
Bryan Cranston voices a dog named Chief? And he takes charge in the pack? This is too beautiful!
Saw the movie, It's like I was cast under a spell. As expected from Wes Anderson, it was humorous, adorable and emotional. I loved the Japanese culture atmosphere.
This is what we want: new ideas, new stories, unique visuals. Not more reboots and remakes
Edward Norton is amazing
And so is Wes Anderson
HeyMonaLisaCanI 67 aka hulk
Yeah the two should make babies, that would be beautiful.
Sid Natividad I hope you aren't joking cuz I would approve of this most definitely
HeyMonaLisaCanI 67 he's cool
Ed Norton makes every movie 15% better by default
Stop motion
Excellent voice acting
Creative plot

Lifelong cinema fan here and I am STILL SHOCKED that this film is not WIDELY considered to be the masterpiece that it is!

Thank you for a new and visually creative movie. I was so sick of the reboots and remakes flooding the theaters. It's mind numbing. So yeah, thanks again.
This is the most original movie I have seen in a while.
You've already seen it?
Wes Anderson and stop motion is like peanut butter and jelly. He directed arguably 2 of the best stop motion films ever
i'm really invested in freckly intrepid reporter blonde afro girl. her character design makes me want to know more.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think she's voiced by Greta Gerwig.
wow, I didn’t know we were doing a movie report
Gwen Harrington lit!
I think she's tied into the government in some way, maybe a good character that's stuck in the villains team
Well the movie looks... interesting

Nightly Refresher same director thats why
Yeah what are ya dumb? Don't be dumb.
The same people who made that are making this.
Hotflop2011 Because everyone knows that.Right?
Lol, but this is a lot more like Fantastic Mr. Fox than Wes' other films.
I don't know who does these movies. But they are so unique and creative I love it. Fantastic Mr Fox is so brilliant
Doctor Insanity Wes Anderson. I suggest you watch Moonrise Kingdom or Grand Budapest Hotel
William Handwerk cheers man
William Handwerk Both excellent films.
update, I've seen it...best film of the year by far
I literally watched fantastic mr fox yesterday.lol
I'm a cinephile and I watch most movies ... So far, "Isle of Dogs" and "Death of Stalin" have been my favorite movies of 2018. The Isle of Dogs is a simple story, but with lots of unpredictable plot twists so it's fun for the viewer. The humor is silly with dark undertones for cynical adults ... Isle of Dogs is unique, and as a cinephile, I appreciate unique stories from talented directors.
Wes Anderson's movies are always so strange, but so beautiful. This movie seems to be the same way.
Nathan Forbes o
Welp, time to rewatch Fantastic Mr Fox over and over again until this comes out. I don't mind. Get me a cold glass of apple cider while im at it.
Raven I think its perfection, very funny and great characters and sweet at all the right moments. But i get if its not your type of movie :P
Apple juice? APPLE JUICE!?!
Raven Nah ignore this dude, we all know Fantastic Mr. Fox is pure art
My favorite scene is the rabid dog scene! Gets me every damn time lol
Jada Goins my least favorite movie by Wes Anderson
What an outstanding cast
My thoughts exactly!
Heavyweight names... Also regular Wes collaborators.
While watching him looking for his dog, I realized *you have dogs right there at your side!* But no I understand, you love that dog and he's yours. Guess I'll watch the whole movie to see what happens.
