Thanks for the tour of your home Jolene. I wanted to ask your build is insulated as well? Do you know what your weight was. Before the build and after? How’s your gas mileage? What year? Sorry,, I loaded ya up with questions😊
Hello this is RG, This is a very nice build that you and your son did!!! I am so grateful to have meet you all!, One day I will have a video of my place, but for now I am very grateful to serve your box van!!! Have a super blessed new year ✨️ 🙏
A beautiful home Jolene has, but if I may offer a suggestion on filming. You can try not zooming as you record. It takes away from the shot you could get while you're vlogging. I am assuming you shoot your footage with your phone? Try it and you'll be amazed. If you find a shot you may want zoomed in, you can because you already filmed in a wide angel shot but if you want a wide shot and you only filmed zoomed in, you have no where to go. Just a suggestion! Happy travels!
Hey TeeSpicer, thank you! I will take all suggestions when it comes to filming as I know I need them. If you also can reccommend a better phone (Im usind an S10) or camera I would be grateful as well. I think my phone does a lousy job filming scenery as I wind through the mnts, etc. Maybe some kond of dash cam with a wide angle? Hope you have a terrific day. 😊🧡
Heavy kitchen offsets the water tank under the bed as the heaviest items. The rest is pretty light and with the dualies, there's no real issue with weight.
If you're in warm and hot weather then the berkey doesn't work because the upper and lower area get mold in it extremely quick. Cannot clean it often enough so I got rid of mine. We got really sick because of the mold even saw black mold in the drinking reservoir. Ugh.
I have had a Berkey for 15+ years and never had a mold problem. Took it on planes with me to Europe in 2020 when I had to quarantine in different countries....never ran into this issue in all the years I have had one. Obviously you need to clean the reservoirs regularly ...and I live in Texas, which is very hot and humid. Went to Central Europe and the Mediterranean for 3 months in 2020...and no issues. Currently in an RV...and no issues either. Would not leave home without it
@@JoFoxynHomer Hey Jo, I bought a Aqua Pure. It looks like a Berkey. I got it at Patriot Supply for a fraction of what a Berkey costs. I have not personally tested the water, but I hope it works.
@@KampingKatie No to be dense, but what ARE you doing that might cause a problem? You’re just camping, right? Are buses so susceptible to burglaries that you must hide the fact that you are camping?
@@EffieG-ez9tf Thats a very valid point. Buses, Box trucks, Vans can be easy prey for a thief or worse. While camping in a city it's best to be able to blend in and feel safe while trying to sleep. You also have to worry about the dreaded knock from a police officer telling you to move along, so being stealth is top priority for fulltimers.
@@huckleberrychris Hey Chris, good question. Im going to let Jolene answer that. Im thinking it's because everthing she used is reclaimed. Im going to make sure she see's all the questions tomorrow. She might not realize I've already uploaded the video. 😊😊😊
Did she say her son wants to start building out trucks for a living? I’d love to contact him for a project, please let me know how, if she or he has instagram that’d be wonderful

I have one inch foam board insulation all around and in the roof. I don't know the weight but it only gets about 10 mpg. 1999.

Oh. And how was is with calculating the weight distribution equally

Jon, Im so lucky to have met your mom. Im camping with her and she is Amazing. Im in love with Foxy, too. 😊❤❤❤
Yup, mom's van is getting famous. Thanks for the support Jon. Love you!
Nice build, camera work is not able to get complete piturte of the build

Oh no!
I saw a couple videos and decided not to get a Berkey. RG, who commented as well, built his own for a fraction of the cost and access for cleaning.

Someone needs to explain what this whole “stealth camping” is all about. Why do some people want to be secretive about camping?
Stealth camping is so you can park over night in cities and no one knows what your doing. Basically keeping a low profile.

Which door?
