    An honest and not mean to be "critical" point, it would have been nice to use a white table and a white shirt so that the black device components and helmet stuff would stand out a bit better. It seems to get lost and can't really see much of it very well. Just a thought for the future. (Great video though, very helpful)

      Unfortunately, you're not alone in this issue since some people have also found a problem with the speakers. The best thing to do is to double check the wires to ensure that they're wired correctly and that they don't have any faults. Otherwise, it may also help to try contacting Cardo directly.

      Thanks for the question! Both should generally be fine on the Airoh Rev 19 since you'll have plenty of space to mount the systems. However, considering the chin bar will be moving, the Slim may be a little more convenient since it will sit a bit more out of the way and have a smaller profile

      Just an update no changes for the tracking of the winter test helmet
      I am seriously pissed about USPS
      service It seems to me this package vanished just like the Mugello did
      I hope you guys add insurance on these
      Packages before shipping them so at least you can retrieve some funds back from DHL if they are not delivered.
      I called customs in New York & was told the package was released to USPS NY on the 16th & I have to wait as it might take up to 30 days to reach me which is absurd . I asked if there is a phone number I can call to check status I was told no .
      I am very skeptical as there is no tracking updates or scans of the bar code since the 16th . So it was not picked up from Customs yet because normally once a package leaves one area or department along its shipping route it has to get scanned ,
      it’s not in the system yet or simply vanished only time will tell

    Do you have any idea if the Packtalk Slim would fit my Shark Spartan Carbon helmet? Also, can the unit connect to bluetooth headphones or are you limited to using wired headphones/earplugs?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому

      The Cardo Packtalk Slim should be able to fit in the Spartan Carbon. The main hurdle to keep in mind is that fitting the battery pack may be more challenging since the Spartan Carbon has reserved the space for the Sharktooth Prime Intercom system.
      As far as speakers, you can use your choice, as long as they are wired and use a standard 3.5mm audio jack.

You explained it in regards to speakers and microphone, but my question is, will the mount for the main unit fit the bottom of this helmet? OK they call it slim, but now you have to clip 2 devices on your helmet. that is rather a con than a pro.
    it looks better. what er the other pro's against the bold? (not talking about the price)

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 роки тому

      Hey there! The main pros of the Slim are Cardo have updated the controls to make the system interface simpler and the system is smaller and more aerodynamic. The cons of the Slim are that it has a slightly shorter range than the Bold and you also have the additional battery pack insert. Other than this the specs should be about the same between the two systems. Which system are you currently leaning towards?

    have you installed this on a Schuberth C4 yet? Do you know if it will fit or not? Thanks

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 роки тому

      Your Cardo Palktalk shoud be able to fit in the Schuberth C4. The C4's microphone is placed at the top of the helmet so you shouldn't have any trouble there. Though the speakers are not easily removable, you should be able to squeeze the Cardo in, since the cutouts are still fairly low in the helmet's EPS at about where your ears would be. Otherwise, the Schuberth C4 Pro should also fit the Cardo, since the speakers were further slimmed down and the cutouts made deeper

    Do you think it will work with the Arai Corsair X/RX-7V? I can't tell if the rubber vent on the back of the neck roll will interfere with the battery.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 роки тому

      Because of the vent being so close against the back of the helmet, it will be very difficult to add the battery. The same situation goes for underneath the neck roll, which means the Slim will generally be a challenge to mount. In this case, the Packtalk Bold may be a better option. Though it is bulkier, it is self-contained, which makes mounting much easier.
      What do you think of the Cardo system?

    • @timosuomi
      @timosuomi 4 роки тому +1

      @@Championhelmets I've never used a Cardo. I've been using a Sena SMH-10 for the past 10+ years, and I've been wanting to move to something less bulky, hoping it would create less wind noise. I've heard very good things about the Cardo, and was hoping the Slim would fit this helmet since I really like the low-profile form factor. I appreciate your help!

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 роки тому

      Our pleasure! The Slim is definitely a great system, but the battery does tend to make the mounting much more complicated. Other than the Cardo Packtalk Bold, another option may be the new Sena 50R / 50S, though in the end they are still going to be about the same level of bulk.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 роки тому +1

      Since the neck area of the system is slimmer and does not seem to need to go as far into the helmet, it has a much better chance of fitting in the helmet if it is slotted underneath the neck roll and the neck vent. Of the various slim communicators, the 10U for Arai probably stands the best chance

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому +1

      The best option as far as hiding Cardo Packtalk wires is usually to try and tuck as many wires under the neck roll and behind the cheek pads as possible. It may take a few tries to find the best configuration, but it will vary from helmet to helmet.

      What are your thoughts on the Cardo system?

    • @sketchylandbeast4378
      @sketchylandbeast4378 3 роки тому

      @@Championhelmets I rode with it for about 100 miles a couple days ago. I have the cardo pack slim, medium bell star mips. The rear battery pack has to sit slightly u centered on the rear of the helmet due to a bit of helmet structure on the side that the neck roll latches to, meaning the controller for the unit can't be further back. But it all works, just a tight fit. However I use eargasm ear plugs (funny name I know) and it cuts out all wind noise just about, leaving me with my music, any voices, motor sounds. The jbl speakers are really quite decent. I am a bit of an audiophile so I tend to nitpick. But I am overall pleased with the product. I got it on sale for 280, and I still think that was a bit much. 250 or even less would be nice. But I still bought it so I suppose it must be low enough lol. The verbal controls are much easier to use rather than memorizing all the different button combos. I did get the slim because of the wider buttons for ease of use with gloves. The ridges between buttons on the controller makes finding which one I'm on much easier. The audio quality for speaking to someone over the phone is much better now, compared to when I had plugphones and just shoved the mic up by my cheek. Overall? Love the product. I find myself excited to ride with it and learn more about it. I have used the full face helmet mic, looking forward to testing the boom mic later. Thanks for the help on hiding wires :)
