Definitely checking this out later tonight. I never had a father to teach me how to shave or any advice in anything. It sucks because a lot of people had to grow up learning things a man should do but learning by themselves
Hey Jeff. One thing that I would add is make sure you do a deep conditioning occasionally. If you have a long beard, doing a deep conditioning helps keep it moisturized and soft
@@equivalentexchange4256 Deep conditioning is when you apply a wash out conditioner to your beard and cover your beard for 20 mins. After the 20 minutes, you wash the conditioner out your beard then apply beard balm and/or beard oil. It gives your beard a softer feel and a shiner look
Good timing on this video! I decided to grow out my beard for the winter. Been a few weeks now. I find the video interesting and educational to grow and maintain a Beard. Great one bro 👊
Great input on today’s subject about beards I’m 50 and I’ve been growing mine to a medium length since the end of 2019 although I’ve cut it a few times each time it’s grown back it’s been fuller and thicker, I also would recommend a beard balm as well as oil!!👍🏾💯
"You down with OPB?! Yeah, you know me!" Thanks Jeff for the tip: regarding comparing my beard to Other Peoples Beards. I've always envied those with fuller, longer beards but now you've given me hope. DNA also plays a big part in how facial hair develops. Salute! ✊
Hey Jeff, one thing I would say is if you have a long , kinda long or medium beard, you can either use a wood comb or a steel pick to comb your beard. Either steel or wood because they help to stimulate the hair particles , and never use plastic. I appreciate you Brother, keep up the good work and providing the knowledge !
Heres a tip I will add from growing it after having a job where I was clean shaven. I put a warm damp towel over my growing beard, then i would lather with conditioner before getting in the shower. Then i would rinse it off LAST. I did it twice a day to soften the hair that was curling back into my face.
Great tips per usual. I will also add as a black man w/coarse hair, a wide tooth wooden comb/pick would best for men w/coarser beards. Brush before combing to easily detangle the beard hairs as well.
Awesome video... Great content... Much needed information on keeping your beard groomed and the mistakes you need to avoid.... Great timing... Thanks again Jeff. Salute.
One thing that has helped me is about every two years or so, shave the whole thing off and regrow. Reason is you can double check your face, give it a good scrub, and then start over. Get some fresh hair, and then have a good laugh when folks call you baby face! In terms of your beard, always rocking it! Salute!
Thank you for reminding everyone that each beard is an individual statement. Personally, I keep mine short because that's how I like it and personal hygiene, like everything, is a must.
Mine took 3 years to have the beard I wanted just be patient, shave put every 3 weeks, also tell your barber to give you a shape up every time and last put Beard oil morning and evening…
One tip I would give is to never comb your beard when it's dry. I spray water mixed with an essential oil (Rosemary oil is my choice) on my beard before I comb my beard
Style OG, great advice on this video. Very detailed my brother. I don’t rock a beard. I’m a mustache and goatee guy. I will share with video with my son.
Great video! I am with you with the comparison game (comparison is the thief of joy). I use beard butter as a part of my beard maintenance routine. Hello style OG. Just to say I love to see men with groomed beards it looks really manly and strong (remember that's my opinion) just wanted to say. What about when me start to to get Grey in there beards do you think they should die it or use different products for it?

Slowly you are opening my eyes to quality .😀😀 thanks you my fashion God . Continue to do what you do best . I look forward in seeing another great video .
Hey Jeff, I’ve been using organic coconut oil and jamaican black castor oil along with a beard butter from Detroit Grooming. Would I be over saturating my beard using those variation of products?
What helps minimize beard itch is to exfoliate the area where it’s growing and then apply beard wash after. It reduces the irritation happening between skin and budding hair.
Make sure you wash and clean your face/neck daily prior to beard care. Also important to use natural oils that promote hair growth in addition to your beard routine
I thank the LORD that I have a NICE, full, thick, tall, full-faced beard and thank God I know how to fade & line-up! Also, your shower shampoo & conditioner will suffice, and Murrays (or other such thick pomade) used in combination with a boar bristle brush (for any length of beard as it'll train the hair to lay down smoothly) is better than beard oil, in my experience.
