one of my favorite ps2 games for real. this game was so fun even though the fighting wasnt as good as deception cause of the fighting style nerfs, the konquest mode was really fun and so was mk kart
I’m nostalgic for this game. I’ve beaten the Konquest mode soo many times and would play Arcade and Motor Kombat a lot too. I know the fighting styles were nerfed and they had the kreate a fatality system which I thought was disappointing because it made the characters feel unoriginal. However the stages, the death traps and the character selection were amazing. Plus the fact that me and my dad played this a lot.
For the ppl who trying to understand Taven's ending on both arcade and konquest. When Taven beat blaze what was supposed to happen is all fighters will lose all their special powers. But blaze was corrupted during the deadly alliance story bc of Onaga's holy men to be a guard of the dragon egg (onaga revival) bc of the corruption instead of removing everyone's power it made them more stronger than they were before. There no difference between the arcade and konquest ending of taven it the same.
I’m glad you said Reiko despite not knowing who he is. Big character from mk4. He was the general of shao Kahn’s army in outworld which for some reason got treated like a joke even though outworld was the most dominant force at the time. They at least made him somewhat threatening in the mkx comics and in the battle of the realms movie against Raiden but I’d love to see him come back and cause problems.
So cool this popped into my feed. Haven’t played this game in 10 years but a couple days ago, my girl barrowed the wii at her parents so we could play a game she wanted to play. She brought all the games and this mortal kombat was the in it and I got so hyped. Ended up buying a classic controller and binging it. Such a good game but I could be nostalgia blind😂
This was me and my brother's first Moral Combat game in like 2008. Our mom likes the games so me and my brother started playing them. It's not the best but it was fun for me as a kid.
This was my 1st game after playing 1-2-3 and 4 as a kid So i was basically in the same boat as taven in konquest mode except for remembering some names like the ninjas, goro and shinnok
my uncle had the ps2 and me and my siblings would play the towers or verse each other. But for some reason we never played konquest and we would make our characters though and ik I was wayyyy too young to be playing mk. I’m 17 btw 😅👍🏾
In my opinion this game's intro is still the best one to this day.
