Timothy McCune Yes! Good ol' Savatage...great stuff on that album. Strange Wings, White Witch, etc. A great walk down memory lane of 80's metal...the best of times. Played the cassettes in my boom box...legendary times :)
This was the anthem of all of us who listened to real metal back in the day and shunned the fake hair bands Poison, Cinderella, and Bon Jovi who were heavily marketed, no-talent creations of the big record companies. "Painted plastic faces, stealing mommy's makeup / Mask the false gods with mannequin smiles" Fates Warning are amazing and it was so good to hear John Arch again! Real musicians who can really play are extremely rare today!
With older bands you always wonder how the vocals are going to be.... I was pleasantly surprised to see John was DEAD ON from the moment he opened his mouth. WOW WOW WOW! FREAKING AWESOME.
FYI: the vocals are clearly overdubbed… But that doesn’t mean Arch can’t hit those notes. As long as those overdubbed vocals are from 2017… I’ll be impressed.

I think this live concert is actually almost better than the original album. The mix is so good! I can hear every detail, and everyone is crushing it!
