    I believe its been about 8 Years since I read an article in OPRAH magazine about you. I bought your book and made a Farmhouse queen bed, farmhouse table and two high chairs(twins) at the time i was 67 years old. It gave me such confidence when you mentioned you and your husband built your own house in Alaska so why couldn't you make your own furniture. I am so glad to see you you on UA-cam. thanks

      I only found Ana White this week. I love her outdoor furniture. Will have to back track and look for her other plans and see how she built her house. Her methods make it seem easy and look nice and simple dimension wood. Congrats on the twins. I’m 65 and know a little about building. My partner of 6 years helping me learn more. Congrats on the twins. I presume grandchildren. I’m a twin too. Old twin!

    just a few days ago, my mother in law was complaining about the ugly shelving she has her direct tv box sitting on, attached to the wall. she said she had wanted a floating shelf there but didn't know how to make it. i told her to leave it to me, i'd get it taken care of. low and behold, ana comes to the rescue! thanks so much!

    I just built this shelf unit, and it turned out well. I used 1/4" MDF for the top instead of plywood, and I did not fasten it with brads. You could place a piece of shelf paper over the top to hide the seams if necessary. The reason: it makes an ideal place to keep valuables or things you don't want your children (or spouse) getting into. Also, MDF is very stable and will not warp after it is finished. To lift the top for removal simple use a piece of tape to lift it.

    It's a tiny thing but I so appreciate that you guys reduce volume or mute the sound of the tools (saw and nailer) I watch these when I have time at work but I'm in an office. So when the saw goes off all loud in a video it makes people go "what was that!?" hahaha - Thanks for another great video Ana!

    Someday I'm going to Send out a Challenge to some of those other UA-cam Woodworkers.
    Something like; Build an Entertainment Center using Nothing but a Drill, a Circular Saw, a Screwdriver, and a Hammer.
    And a 3 Foot tape measure, on a Key Chain.
    With Kitchen Chairs and 2x4's for saw horses!
    Your's are pretty close.
    Especially the earlier ones.
    Yea, I've been watching you a few years or more.
    You know the ones;
    First I'm going take this wood over to this (Special Tool)
    then I'm going use this (special Tool) to do this part of the Project.
    Now I'm using this (Special Tool) and do this to the Wood.
    Now after using all these Special/Expensive Tools, that you ain't got, I'm gonna have this Beautiful Item, (that will never look like your!)
    As I said, your's are like the first example, which is a compliment.

    Your awesome Ana! Been watchin your stuff for quite a few years. Hubby looked kinda salty there and shook his head and walked away lol. Thanks for your inspiration over the years.
