How to get the "Balls to the Wall" GUITAR TONE - Wolf Hoffmann (Accept) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Wolf Hoffmann and Herman Frank (Accept) on "Balls to the Wall".
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

USING MY PRESET…
If you use my preset for your projects (cover videos, “what if” creations, song tutorials, etc.), I will be happy to check it out. Leave a comment to let me know. If you could also have a link to this video in your video description, I’d appreciate the credit very much.
Your layering is on Point I am all kinds of impressed. One of my very favorite tones ever!
Man you nailed that sound!
Spot on tone!
I haven't played guitar for over 6 years due to a hand injury, but my hand is better now but I has always been hesitant to start playing again, since I have some restrictions due to the injury. But I just had to check this out. So I bought BiasFX2 and BiasAmp2 plugins and I have been playing guitar for the last three hours! I can't believe that I've got that Accept guitar sound, so much inspiration nd all the Accept songs come flooding back from memory! Thank you so much for making it possible!
I'm impressed . Can you recreate the sound of the Metal Heart album too?
Tone is EVERYTHING!!!!... when it comes to Knowing your Guitar Gods you are Learning from!!!
Soooo many guitarist know the Tactical part of a Song on a guitar... and miss the Strategic aspect of TONE of that Artist.
THANKS for your F**kin Awesome Work \m/ \m/
Good stuff!
Frikin badass sound. Wicked.
Awesome
Really appreciate what you’re doing man, keep it up!
I can tell you this is the guitar tone I'm most proud of. When I was a teenager learning to play guitar, this was my dream guitar tone. Never in my dreams I'd imagine many years later technology would allow me to get this tone. Wolf Hoffmann and Herman Frank were inspired on this album.
@@dmometalguitar thank for all the videos; I've been trying BIAS FX2 & AMP 2 demos today and I've noticed there's only your DMO Far Beyond Driven amp match to download; are you aware of that? I'm ok with it, I'm asking just in case. Your tones have been the final push to make me enjoy again playing pantera, metallica, ... after >10 years demotivated.
@@Zappabain Thanks man. Glad you're enjoying your guitars again. You'll only see the Far Beyond Driven amp because it was part of my tutorial. All other amps are bundled with my Bias FX presets, so for simplicity, I'm just using Bias FX for everything.
My Splawn Quick Rod 100 watt tube amp does the guitar tones from Balls to the Wall album to the T.
Why do you use four chanel in reaper? Do you use delay un reaper? Thanks , great tone Accept!
You by chance have a atomic amplifire 12 unit or a blackstar id core head? I love this time but don't have bias.thinking about buying the bias distortion pedal or the bias head to get this tone.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Pretty damn good. Sounds a little too harsh compared to the album, but obviously once you are talking total mix and master that is a different matter.
What AMP are you using for this preset?
what is that DMO ball to the walll, i dont have that on my bias. How to get that?
How to get that growl in the tone?
Okay so what gear is being used? Pedals amps??
pensé q eraa live
Decent- Bubulees
How come you use the same amp for every tone match you do? :)
Think of the amplifier more as a "wrapper". What goes behind the scenes is what makes the primary difference. The guitar itself also makes a big impact. My Gibson has been giving me the best results in the whole tone matching process.
@@dmometalguitar Thanks!
You dont used boost in options sound card? Try
activate in the "recorders" tab special .
your DI sound weak and it will amplify the signal
Hate to break it too you... but you're playing most of these riffs wrong. I'm cringing hearing you trying to play Losing More Than You've Ever Had, and Fight It Back.
Wolf (and Hermann Frank) used a Bill Lawrence L-500 pickup (not the 500XL like Dime used) in his 1979 Gibson Flying V, and ran into a Rangemaster Treble Booster into the 'house' Marshalls at Dieter Dirks studio in Cologne, Germany.
Wolf switched to the EMG 81 pickup for Metal Heart after hearing Vinnie Vincent rave about them in 1984.
Nice effort tho...
My goal is to show the tone, not to teach the songs.
I thought it was just me..
You sir are playing this very
Wrong
@@dannythompson6699 it's a video about tone, not a lesson on how to play the song.
