Laura seems to be out of sync with public opinion: The electorate voted against tax cuts, ergo "more money in pocket" in favour of better, and services that actually work and deliver.
Labour use tax to fund services. It started under Atlee.. The Tories cut tax and use debt to fund services. All the hard work the people did to reduce national debt under Atlee was the thrown away between 1952 and 1962 by the Tories.,
@@johnrussell3961 The Tories don't use debt to fund services they use it to get more tax cuts and cut services. Of course it has gotten so bad that the Tories were somehow racking up debt while also having the highest tax burden in living memory, and still underfunding services.

Stopping the Winter Payment for pensioners will mean old folks will die this winter. Scotland suffers longer and colder periods but delivers 97% of renewable energy with no benefit. And you just know if Labour on day one cut taxes massively, raised the tax threshold or simply paid out money to everyone, she would be screeching about irresponsible spending. She is the perfect example a no-win situation. Whatever Labour do, she will claim it's wrong.
Labour can’t employ a politely editor. But I am sure they could apply some pressure somewhere. However YOU ca n complain to the BBC about her and say she needs to be sacked or you won’t be watching any of her programmes. Hit them where it hurts on ratings
I never heard her asking the previous govt to put money in the pockets of those who were suffering. In fact, I often watch Newscast and have at no time previously heard her use language that adequately describes the situation that the poorest in our society are living in. While the Tories were in govt, this show was always very light hearted and never examined the realities of the ordinary people. I honestly thought the show wasn't for that purpose. But, here we are, with LK suddenly realising that folk are in dire straits. Why did she never mention that before?
On her Sunday morning BBC show 21/07/24 towards the end of the programme, she described the newly elected Labour government as a "regime"!!!. How can she get away with such obvious political bias, and on what basis is it a regime?. Thank God she's away next week

No BBC journalist should be allowed to make absolute statements such as "nothing" as it presents an opinion as something that has been objectively measured and is therefore 'impartial'. It is not impartial though. It is a gross abuse of her platform and the Labour government needs to hold the BBC accountable.
If they had immediately changed and "tax and spend" had occurred she would be complaining about that! She's lost all claims to impartiality and should disclose her biases at all times!
This line really annoyed me in her Sunday tv show. @@kailashpatel1706 eeeeeeewwwww!!
Laura seems to be out of sync with public opinion: The electorate voted against tax cuts, ergo "more money in pocket" in favour of better, and services that actually work and deliver.
Labour use tax to fund services. It started under Atlee..
The Tories cut tax and use debt to fund services. All the hard work the people did to reduce national debt under Atlee was the thrown away between 1952 and 1962 by the Tories.,
@@johnrussell3961 Well it's changed now. The tories raised taxes but gave it all to their mates.
@@alanmichael5619 . It certainly didn’t go to reducing debt and improving services!,
@@johnrussell3961 The Tories don't use debt to fund services they use it to get more tax cuts and cut services. Of course it has gotten so bad that the Tories were somehow racking up debt while also having the highest tax burden in living memory, and still underfunding services.
Tax cuts = more money in pocket *but worst funded public services = longer waiting lists and more people taking out private healthcare having to pay for healthcare itself and then some to cover profits and shareholder dividends = no better off / actually worst off for the public in many cases.
The idea that tax cuts actually equate to benefits in the way our economy is now structured it is a joke.
I hope all those people that voted for Labour now hold their heads in shame.
Kunsberg kissing the Tories ring.
She hasn't come to terms with the fact her party lost big time at the election. She needs to get over it.
Where was this energy when the Tories decimated the the pockets of poor people? For 14 years?
I've been listening to Newscast for the last year or more. She has been critical of tories during that time.
Defends 14 years of tory failure condemns Labour after 14 days. Breathtaking.
Please can we replace Laura K with unbiased Victoria Derbyshire!
Victoria is on Sunday for the last show before the summer break.
can't stand either of them
LOL!!!! both as irritating as each other
We wouldn't have that sort of luck.
@@LisaTh-3-d As irritating as the con-servatives
Well as a Tory herself she should be happy Labour arent giving handouts.
How much nonsense can Kuenssberg spout without even blinking, just over 2 weeks and suddenly she expects Labour to be acting like Father Christmas. The sooner she gets her P45 the better.
She admitts people have been struggling, under the Tories. Yet she criticised a new government after one week!
Really is time she was sacked. Surely the British public deserve better than this?
We the public have no final say on how the BBC.
When did she ever question the Tories like that?
This is nuts. On a BBC program she is voicing obviously biased opinions. When Gary Linekar tweeted a biased opinion the Torys called for his head. But here she is acting as a political mouthpiece ON A BBC SHOW!
Linekar is a football commentator and the Torys were "concerned" about how his opinions could influence people. Kuensberg is a political journalist conducting interviews!
How can the BBC still say she is impartial
Stopping the Winter Payment for pensioners will mean old folks will die this winter. Scotland suffers longer and colder periods but delivers 97% of renewable energy with no benefit. The Chancellor sounded and looked like a Tory to me and one with no empathy for pensioners. Poor show from her and Labour.
The BBC need to get her off - NOW
As alabour voter all my life ,they have lost this voter, They have put their hands into every pensioners pocket and taken between 4 and 6 pounds ,from millions of pensioners every week , with the ceaseing of the winter fuel payment ,even if there are pensioners who do not spend it on fuel they will something food, insu rance a small treat which they cannot normally afford. And all that money may be spent locally ,boosting the econemy and helping small businesses, thankyou labour NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
She gets paid over £300,000 a year, which if you work 40 hours a week and 46 weeks a year, thats about £165 per hour. let that sink in
😊Liebour have treated the working class with utter contempt for decades !
What do you care about poor people Laura they have been in power 3 weeks leave it out
What a nasty piece of work she is.
Imagine being that awful of a person.
What a terrible life of hate she must have
But her Tories took money out of poor peoples’ pockets and put it into the riches’ pockets. She then lists the constructive work labour has done this far. Her point is absurd.
Kuensberg is by far the best Tory party opposition spokesperson.
The Labour party is now in POWER and should be questioned accordingly, Labour voters need to get used to it !
And what did the tories do in 14 yrs for poorer families.
Made everyone in the UK worse off!
Apparently the fork tongued Theresa May made the Tories the workers party and champions of the poor.
Taking cold weather payments away from vulnerable pensioners is shameful, even the tories didn’t do that. But can find 11.6 billion for overseas aid.
She isn't a journalist
No a propogandist for the tory party.
And you just know if Labour on day one cut taxes massively, raised the tax threshold or simply paid out money to everyone, she would be screeching about irresponsible spending. She is the perfect example a no-win situation. Whatever Labour do, she will claim it's wrong.
Labour need to sort out this obvious BBC bias. They should start by appointing a new political editor.
Labour can’t employ a politely editor. But I am sure they could apply some pressure somewhere. However YOU ca n complain to the BBC about her and say she needs to be sacked or you won’t be watching any of her programmes. Hit them where it hurts on ratings
No matter what party you vote, do you think its right to take money from pensioners
All these people want her sacked and replaced by a Labour friendly journalist, who would have guessed. The truth hurts.
The Tories ran the place into the ground - and Labour haven't fixed it in three weeks - so Labour are the failures . . .
On her Sunday morning BBC show 21/07/24 towards the end of the programme, she described the newly elected Labour government as a "regime"!!!. How can she get away with such obvious political bias, and on what basis is it a regime?. Thank God she's away next week
How can she be presenting political programs when she is so anti Labour?????????
She should move to GBnews.
Keir Starmer missed a trick when asked about BBC funding, instead of committing to the licence fee he should have said all avenues will be explored and they would have tried to keep on his good side more.
Andrew Neil did it for years!
She's not anti labour - that would be fine. She's pro tory.
by sending out threatoning letters to jail people to pay her wages.for not watching her
She wants an immediate unfunded and uncosted budget of tax cuts and handouts. What could possibly go wrong?
Ti be fair, the Labour Party has always maintained that the reforms required would need time to implement and to address the 14 years of a disastrous political experiment imposed on us by the Tories. She is unbelievable as Labour have been in power for 18 days!!
You are missing something. Labour seem happy to make wild financial commitments like building thousands of houses on green belt land. They are happy to give 22% to Junior doctors. They are happy to give big pay rises to public sector workers, nurses, teacher and the military etc. But they haven't had a budget for that... And they have already cut some pensioner benefits like Winter fuel allowance without a budget...
This woman should not have a job in media let alone prime time TV
She's right though.. Labour have been a complete joke. It's out of the frying pan and into the fire, seems all politicians are hopeless.
They've done loads, mostly, the peace of mind knowing there's grown ups in charge, priceless.
Her Panorama on the new government's first two weeks, shown last night, did not even mention tne NATO summit, or the EPC summit at Blenheim Palace which got very positive reaction across Europe. Why?
When is the BBC going to give her the boot.
She’s not a journalist in the traditional sense, she’s one of those op ed columnists. She should be writing opinion columns like Jeremy Clarkson and Jay Rayner but for some reason the country’s most eminent news source has appointed her as chief political correspondent.
She's just awful. 🙄
Do the conservatives still have the power in the BBC sure seems that way
She is a bell end.
@@t.jconnolly6492She is speaking the truth and it hurts , Starmer is a liar and a cheat and has does tremendous damage to poor people in just 3 weeks , the Labour Party is no better than when Yogi Blair was in charge , another incompetent dangerous little shite , it’s time you people woke up
Who's awful? Jo coburn? Now she really is awful.
LK had a show on the Beeb tonight called, "Labour in Power" it was almost a tory party broadcast. She had this lop sided smirk on her face as she told us that Labour have no idea of the undertaking they are taking on and it's doomed to failure. Disgraceful bias, she should be sacked, she's not supposed to have opinions, she is supposed to ask questions. I hate the fact that My licence fee pays for her £500 grand a year salary😕
Why is she concerned about poverty now? It was her rich Tory mates who created these levels of poverty and then blamed the poor for being poor.
This level of level of hypochracy should disqualify her immediately from having any sort of platform!
When chaos and corruption has been replaced by professional methodical practices it’s a stretch to find something exciting and controversial.
Come on, bbc, sack this woman. She is a tory mouthpiece. Get someone in who is fair and impartial. I am sure gb news will welcome her with open arms. That's her level.
So austerity under the predatory Tories was OK but not giving people relief fast enough is not?
A logic fail like this wouldn't fly if you were working at McDonalds, why hasn't she been fired already?
Give Labour a chance. They are only just finding out what a mess the Conservatives have left the finances are in.
No thanks mass immigration will go up even more 😢
This is utterly ridiculous!!! The Labour Party have been in power for mere two and a half weeks as of today. 😀 😀
Kuenssberg is criticising the Labour Party for not doing in three weeks what the Tories failed to do in 14 years, improve the situation of poor people. Why didn’t she ask Jeremy Hunt the same question who she had minutes later in the same show?
I cheered when she announced that Victoria Derbyshire was taking over the Sunday show next week. Can it be permanently please?
She must’ve missed Labour’s free breakfast clubs for all primary school pupils proposal, directly benefiting the poorest families, there will inevitably be more to follow once responsible costings have been made
No BBC journalist should be allowed to make absolute statements such as "nothing" as it presents an opinion as something that has been objectively measured and is therefore 'impartial'.
Labour said multiple times during the election campaign there would be no ‘quick fixes’, to turn things around would take time, possibly the whole parliament term.
Both LK and Kay Burley are banging on about the two child policy, but I don’t remember them badgering Tory ministers about it over the last five years.
Labour isn’t the same as 25 years ago,so I agree with her.
She is on the tory criminals payroll
Without reading any other comments, i guess most pensioners in the country know for a fact they have failed, bigtime. You were advised to vote REFORM now you know why.
I absolutely hate this woman. She is so against Labour it's unreal. But why?
Tories were her mates. She did a great job bulling them up when in power.
£700,000,000 would have come in handy but the tories spaffed it on sending 4 volunteers to Rwanda. I think there should be a criminal enquiry on this. Those in the previous government should be ejected from Parliament immediately.
My God. The bare faced cheek. Suddenly she’s concerned about the poorest in society, when she supports a party that has deliberately pursued policies that have done more harm to the poor than any in my living memory. Hypocrite.
They never promised to do that ….so it isnt their failure.
It’s part of the mess the Tories left labour with..
The Tories used the same excuse and went years without addressing problems. Labour will do the same, maintaining the status quo is the plan.
@@forestsunset9617 Our history since 1945 is….Labour fixes things, and the Tories ,cut tax, create debt, and break things.
Beware those who use social media to spread Tory propaganda l
@@forestsunset9617 Well we will see in about a year. Intill that time you have no basis for that opinion
@@WebToolkit I can already see. They've had years to have a plan, now they have power they are acting like they can't do much. they have a massive majority and can do what they want, but won't. They won't think of taxing the rich, stopping Israel, getting rid of the child benefit cap. They've purged the party of progressives. I don't need to wait years to see what is happening.
@@WebToolkit I've got plenty to base it on, the last few years of Starmer running the party shows the direction. The fact they have a majority and can take drastic action and have ruled it out. The party that claims stability is change. stability is just another word for more of the same.
Did LK actially say 'helping people struggling in the past years' or somethinglike that? So she admits it, her Tory party has been crushing the poor! Or did I miss something?
